Wedding Woes

Randoms

1.  I have a chives problem.  The previous owners planted them in an area behind our back fence and the damn things spread further and further every year.  They are now in the back, on both sides and have started up in a few places in the front beds.  It is aggravating.  They laugh in the face of Round Up and need to be dug out.  Ugh.  I'm never going to be able to keep up with them.

2.  I really hate the Amope commercials but kind of want one.

3.  Old company front office lady asked "Sooooo when will all your kids be in school full time?" this morning.  Interesting.

Re: Randoms

  • 1.  Wait for a rain and go pull them out.  Much easier.  Annoying, but easier.

    Mine:

    2.  I'm working on not being annoyed by acquaintance who backhand insulted me.  Mainly b/c the friendship level isn't worth getting worked up about, but being told I'm, "not equipped to handle" a conversation is annoying as fuck.  Especially since I was very careful in how I responded to her BUTTHURT FEELINGS OVER A FACEBOOK LIKE.  Okay, I vented that out, maybe I'll feel better now.

    3.  Diva is trying really hard to set me up as his next paralegal.  I cannot do that.  I just can't, I'll end up at his throat one day.  And I don't want to find a new job, I like it here, I just need to keep my time w/Diva limited.  And it's working really well right now, why does he have to fuck this up?!?!

  • 1) PF has been insisting on walking just about everywhere. There have even been some instances where I haven't brought the stroller. She's been getting really pissed when she has to sit in it.

    2) PF taught herself how to twirl the other night. She saw another couple dancing and doing it. She was dancing with H and figured it out.

    3) I feel like a loser because I don't know what I want to be when I grow up and it's holding us back in many ways, as a family.
  • 1.) Our second car is done.  The repairs it needs cost more than its worth.  I hate car shopping.  Actually, shopping isn't bad, it's the buying I hate.

2.) DH thinks we can continue to get along with only one car.  Um, NO.  I can take the bus back and forth to work so that's covered.  But if I want/need to do anything in the evening and he's working overnight, I don't go or have to find a ride.

@VarunaTT- how did the breakfast go? (that's random right?)
  • I had to google Amope.

IDK what I want to be when I grow up.

Boo to a car that's toast and to having a buy a new one.  But yes, car shopping is fun.

    Mine:

    1) I've come to hate Wednesdays.  It's almost always a late day for DH at work.

    2) I'm thinking about taking a 2 hour lunch.  I have to go to the store.  And I'm done with this day.  Maybe I'll just cut out early.

    3) Every e-mail I've downloaded has been some ridiculous issue.
  • It went really well, thanks for asking!  Our timing was a little off (even with the time I built in,some things took longer than expected), so we were about an hour late.  But everyone loved the food and apparently it was enough to sustain them for a few days (they did have a refrigerator/microwave in the office).  I'm probably taking lasagnas this weekend.  Plus, we got a lot of group recognition, which was nice.

    1.  Today is pretty much almost gone, mostly because I know that my day is full of doing computer take-offs...yeah I know...very exciting.  But it is good because this week is kind of chewing me up, so I can bury my head and hide a bit.

    2.  I've decided to take up a bit of powerlifting---it's fun and makes me strong.  I like to be useful when moving heavy objects.

    3.  ON a scale from no big deal to divorce-worthy, how bad is it to peep your H's texts?  Just curious. For a "friend" of course.
  • I went to run errands yesterday morning and found a mess when I opened the car door, somebody had broke into it during the night!  It's my grandparents car that I got to keep after gma died, so I was really emotional that somebody messed with it.  They ripped the change holder out of the middle console to get the less than $2-3 dollars worth of change that I left there cause gpa put it there, and they threw his cassettes all over (yes cassettes, lol).  Now console can't close.  They also stole my bible of all things.  I think because it was in a leather case they thought they were getting a tablet or something, cause who would steal a bible?  I have stuff in it I can't get back, so while nothing super expensive it was all sentimental and makes me so mad!

They also got into my van that we had parked because my transmission is messing up, so I had been driving the car.  Only thing I noticed missing there was my phone charger, but I hadn't been in it in awhile so who knows what I don't remember.   Police said at least 8 more cars in our neighborhood.  Now, last night I listened and couldn't sleep cause I was afraid somebody was out there again, or would try and get in our house.
  • pkat, why are you living in the hood?

  • Random:  DD is officially registered for the swim team, and I am disproportionately excited.
  • After lunch randoms:

I took my regular lunch, but went shopping. I got some Easter stuff for my nephew and DefConn.  I got some new stuff for me too (shirts, tanks, sports bra).

All this bullshit in my state has made me realize that the Indiana of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is coming true.  Thanks Pence.

I saw some guy standing on a corner of a busy intersection with an Israeli flag and the American flag (big flags) when I was out running around. No sign and he wasn't shouting anything.  I wonder what that was about?

I have a zit on my lip and chapped lips at the same time.

I'm still not motivated to work.
