  • Other than that, I have to decide where I want to go for my birthday tonight! I don't know if any resturants have any fun specials, but I am going to look. One resturant back in NY has a free margarita on your birthday (or so I have heard).

Bombers does a free 40 oz marg
. Olde English does a free giant teacup of cider or lager (I don't know how big). And the Biergarten does a Das Boot. If you drink all three in one night, you get a t-shirt.

On my 30th birthday, I did the margarita at Schenectady Bombers, and then went to Albany Bombers for a second. I was about halfway through the second, and went to the bathroom. I came back, and took a sip, and went "Thhats notmargarita. Thhass wadder." And my friend was like "I don't know what you're talking about." And I said "Iknowimdrunnk. But thass not tequila." It wasn't. They dumped it when I went to the bathroom, because I'd had enough margarita that night. haha.

Bombers is the one I was thinking of! I have also heard about the boot, but not the other one! Unfortunately I cannot seem to find ANYTHING like that here in SD, and we have so many Mexican places that I was really hoping for a free margarita :(

Also you have good friends ;). And I want to get drunk with you next time I fly back. Which is looking like September right now.

  • @alluisve007 Ok I'd think I'd rather a planned Csection than the version if it's painful and there's only a 58% success rate! 58% is low to me. I hope the baby just turns soon so you can avoid all this.

    Happy Birthday @AuroraRose41 !

Maybe it's just me, but I'd take the 58% chance of success first over someone cutting me open....I dunno, if the option were there for me, I'd take that first and then the C-section.

  • @TwoDimes our wedding is June 13 and our RSVP date is May 16. Our venue needs final counts by June 3 so I wanted to be able to give an extra week for the straggler RSVPs and then have time to call those guests that still hadn't RSVPd after that.

Per our venue our ceremony could start 5 or later. We decided on 6 since 5 seemed kind of early to me. The wedding is also OOT for most guests and I think most people will be staying at the hotel we blocked. Check in is at 3pm and we booked buses to pick people up which will be leaving at about 5:20pm. I figured 6pm ceremony gave people more time to get settled and get ready at the hotel if they wanted to. Or ceremony and reception are at the same venue too.

Yeah..I guess it's one of those things you really have to be in the actual situation to know what you would do. :(

@TwoDimes in my crowd receptions always go until midnight and our friends and family are partiers who are still there at midnight waiting for an after party. I knew I wanted a reception that went that late so I didn't even bother with the venues that wouldn't let it go that late- some towns have noise ordinances. Like @labro said
I think it depends on your group. It's good that they'll let you wait until the day of to decide!

    edited to finish my statement!
