Re: In honor of April Fool's Day - Another NEY Game! UPDATED WITH RESULTS

  • also i have some questions re: some of the truths on this list if the authors feel like volunteering info!

    @peaseblossom55 - you were nude on stage
    @buddysmom80 - tell us about this dad you slept with
    @caseface5 - you lost your virginity with 4 people in the room
    @speakeasy14 - sex swing injury
    @clogreeneyes - purity ring
    @blue&white - 20 min to get ready for work

  • @jenjen047 yes twice, once was very tasteful you really could see anything but my back and may be some side boob if you were sitting far stage right. Another show I was in a thong underwear type thing and had to take my top off so depending when the light cue actually hit & when down some nights I was topless

    @AuroraRose41 - I figured you flew a plane. Even I got to fly a plane when I was 13! I wanted to be a pilot/astronaut though. Then I met my space hero, and she was a bitch, so I stopped wanting to go to space. You are a badass.

    AW alert! When I was in Costa Rica we got drunk with these students from a local university. Julio didn't speak English, and I didn't speak Spanish. The catch is, we both knew a tiiiiiiiiiiny bit of French. So we spoke conversational French for a while, then danced for a while, then went to the local school playground and made out. His hair looked like PRINCE's! I HAD TO HAVE HIM.

    This is exactly why I went into engineering in the first place! But all of the aeronautical engineers that I met didn't actually work with aircraft or spacecraft (they worked in shipyards building Navy ships and submarines because water and air have very similar properties apparently), and I was more interested in designing electronics than airplanes. I still like flying though and drive FI crazy every time we fly because I nerd out over what type of plane we are on.

    ETA: I should also mention that I figured I might as well go into the engineering field that I enjoy, and aircraft and spacecraft do need electronic systems, so that was my goal. I ended up working in semiconductors and telecommunications instead...go figure.

  • Story time, even though no one asked:

    1.) I've only been a BM in one wedding, though the bride was so rude we're no longer friends and I'm quietly hoping no one ever asks me to be a BM again even though it would probably be better than that experience was.

    2.) Yep. Seriously. Didn't know I'm blind until I was 18. I correct to 20/25. How? Well, I've worn glasses as long as I can remember - I got them at 3. The ophthalmologist told my mom that as long as I could see to the end of my arm, I would develop normally, so they didn't put me in glasses before that. I lost a lot of vision when I was about 8, and that's when I went under 20/400 I think. At 18, just before I went to college, I point-blank asked my eye doctor if I was blind, at which point he looked at me and said "...Yes..." like I hadn't figured it out already. My next question? "Are there scholarships for this?"

    FYI, my most recent lens powers were -13.75 in my left eye and -15.75 in my right eye. We're at the point where they literally guess as to my prescription. I have football-shaped eyes (I've seen the scans - COOL), astigmatism, and myopia in proportions that I'm still considered normal.

    3.) I wanted to be an elementary school music teacher when I was in middle school, but I outgrew it when I realized I didn't have the patience to deal with a classroom. I still plan to teach piano lessons when life calms down a little, though.
  • @AuroraRose41 - I get it. I started out civil/environmental because I wanted to travel around designing wind farms. EE seemed to get me there without the extra chemistry required. . . Now, in this position, I hate wind energy. I mean, personally I love it, but my job is way more difficult because of it.

    @AuroraRose41 - That is so cool that you flew a plane!

    @Peaseblossom55 - I'm weirdly proud of myself for knowing that your favorite Musical was not Wicked. It's the only one I felt 100% sure of. Why this information has been stuck into my head I do not know :)

    Also, I did fail my US history class because my teacher assigned us so much busy work and I had an attitude problem and just flat refused to do it because I felt it was a waste of my time. Everyone in the class was required to buy one of those big ass 4 inch binders that were literally full of all the crap he made us do. Looking back I should have just demanded a transfer to another class. My classmates all loved him though and I really never understood why.

  • @bethsmiles, I figured that had to be your lie - I couldn't see you failing a class! I can see why, though. I hate teachers who thrive on busy work.

    @KeptInStitches I totally wanted to ask what your vision numbers were so I'm glad you shared! H complains about being blind (I think he is -5 and -4.5 and has an astigmatism in both eyes now) but that's nothing!!

  • I'm glad you asked @jenjen047 because I feel I do need to explain this. Not that it's a great explanation...

    I was in high school and I was at my then BF's house and he had a bunk-bed. We we on the bottom bunk with sheets covering the sides so it's not like the other four were watching us. The other four were actually my two best friends at the time and his two best friends at the time and they were all busy at the same time so no one noticed. They didn't have sex, but were fooling around. One couple was on the top bunk and one couple was on a couch on the other side of the room.

    Not one of my proudest moments that's for damn sure. But were were in loveeeee and obviously were going to be together foreverrrrrr so I fell for that dumb shit.

  • @LaBro, I'm honestly just delighted that so many of y'all thought I was one of the hos before, lol. Sex IS awesome!
  • Congrats @goldenpenguin and @twodimes!

    @jenjen047 I used to babysit (well kid-sit, she was 9 by the time I was a senior in HS) for years and would house sit in the summer when they were on the Cape, so I knew the family really well. The mom wasn't home that much and was cheating on him with another neighbor (our neighborhood was very Desperate Housewives).

    When I came home from college, the dad would take me to the bars on Fridays and Saturdays so I could drink underage and eventually one thing led to another and we had sex in the back of his Range Rover the last Friday before I left for college again. I was young and dumb and the only reason I did it and didn't feel bad (back then) was because he told me all summer his wife was leaving him and I believed it because she was never home.

    They're still married.....

    @buddysmom80 - very scandalous! i love it!

    as for me dating someone twice my age....i met my ex bf when i was 21 and he was 41 (ok not technically twice my age but damn close) we dated for 3 years actually and i thought we would get married. looking back, i am SO GLAD we didnt (for a number of reasons, but the age was one of  them)

  • @Labro - Sorry I totally missed out on getting my guesses in! Awesome game though...i'll have to be better next time!
