How many month before the wedding should you do your wedding registry?

    We are getting married in November so we started our registry in Feb so like 9 months out.

    We registered about 2 or 3 months before the bridal shower.  Anything earlier and you risk items being discontinued.

    We registered very early, like 12 months before the wedding because my family wanted to send us engagement gifts.  We are now 7 months out and everything we registered for is still available and not discontinued.  My shower is in August so we will go online about 30 days before to make sure that everything is still available and add some stuff that we may have forgotten.

    When you register really depends on you and when you want to do it.

    We registered at the end of January for our wedding which was mid June.  My shower wound up being early May.
