PGH bachelorette party ideas

Hi ladies!
Was wondering if I could pick you brains for some ideas for a bachelorette party taking place in Pittsburgh. I'm not big into the whole South Side bar scene. Was wondering if anyone had another other suggestions, maybe in the Robion Twp area? Was interested in possibly dinner and bowling but not sure if there is a bowling area out that way.
Thanks!

  • *Ooops, not sure how I deleted my post, but I'll give it another shot!
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a bachelorette party in the pgh area, Robison Twp. area would be best, that may be able to include something other than just bars. I was thinking maybe dinner and then bowling? Any other ideas would be really appreciated. On a side note my MOH and I like the idea of going to a few bars on the North Shore, but my FSIL will be 8 months pregnant by the time of my shower and I'm sure watching everybody else drink wouldn't be much fun for her.
    Thanks!

  • I am planning my best friends bachelorette and her and I are not into the south side bar scene either. (I guess we are getting too old!)

I booked a 2 bedroom suite at the Residence Inn in the North Shore. We are doing a Pure Romance party at the hotel first and having food and drinks there then we will walk to the bars/maybe the casino from there. One of her bridesmaids is pregnant, so she might not join us at the bar, but some girls may want to stay back at the hotel as well. That's just to give you an idea of what we are doing that doesnt include the southside.

If you are still into bowling, there is a bowling alley in Lawrenceville called Arsenal Lanes. It is a super neat old school bowling alley. The last time I was there they were having a private party. That could be fun and different too!

What about something like a class- cooking class, wine and cheese tasting class? Dreadnought Wines in the strip does private classes and they sound pretty cool.

Another idea I always thought would be fun would be a fondue party, either at The Melting Pot or just at someone's home.

  • I'm pretty in the dark about my b-party plans as of right now, but I don't really like clubs. I'll go for someone else's b-party but didn't want that for my own. I mentioned Sing, Sing in the Waterfront or Charlie Murdoch's in the South Side. They're both piano bars. The other thing I mentioned was just going to a decent dinner and then getting a hotel room and having drinks and snacks.

  • My gym, Fullbody Fitness in Brentwood offers private classes for bachelorette parties.  They do pole dancing, zumba, or LaBlast dance or a combination class. The instructors are really nice and Darieth Chisolm is the owner and she is great to work with.  She responds pretty quickly to emails.

  • When I was maid of honor...I had a Bachelorette party at Sing Sing in the Waterfront.  It's a dueling piano bar.  That was fun bc we had entertainment and food and drinks all in one place.
  • My friends B-party, hosted by her 2 sisters, will be at a local winery near town.  Since it isn't until July, I'm not fully sure where the winery is but from what they have described it sounds great.
For those that will be coming to your party and are pregnant, I know the one we are going to offers several different flavors of sparkling juices, etc for those than cannot have wine.

  • What about a night at Rivers Casino?
  • <div>I'm planning my friend's bachelorette party for March and have been trying SO hard to find a local winery that does wine tasting for a reasonable price, but all seem to either be really pricey or only offer group tasting during odd times (eg, 10 am).  Do you know where the winery is that you're going to?</div><div>
