Morning ladies! I was in early to work to finish things off before I leave. What are you thankful for today? Coffee is on my list. I'm also...

Thankful for H...he had to drive to Chicago this morning because we had to drop the dog off at my Mom's today.

Thankful to be going to Mexico in less than 24 hours....weather permitting of course.

Thankful for not being oompa loompa orange from my spray tan.

Though I think my co-workers will notice I'm unusually darker at our team meeting.

Thankful for my mom, who is watching our dog, and my sister and BIL who are finishing our backsplash while we are away....going to AW the heck out of the kitchen once it is done.

Thankful for all you ladies who make my day go by so fast.

And here is Raj...who I'm also thankful for. He decided to get into the festivities this morning at 5 am with Mommy's hat.

@minskat30 - I am so happy that you're about to go on vacation!! I hope you have a fabulous time and come back feeling rested.

I am thankful for my H. He got up early to cook breakfast for us, so I could stay in bed a few minutes longer. He made some eggs and cinnamon raisin toast and little Applegate breakfast sausages.

I am thankful for my pups! I say this every time, but I really am. I got some snuggles in with Baxy this morning, and managed to give Bug a little hug before she ran off with her ball to play.

I'm thankful that my old co-worker mentioned me for this job and that it worked out so well. The company is being extremely generous and I am very thankful that we won't be out financially, and that I'll be able to take a much less stressful, more stable job with good insurance.

I'm thankful there were no big storms and that I was able to sleep all night without waking up!

I'm really thankful that my friends moved home to OK from HI (I know, crazy!). I missed them so much while they were gone the past few years! Their kids are so big now, but they are adopting a baby and I am already becoming the favorite auntie. I got to hold and play with the little munchkin during church last night and we had so much fun!

I am so glad it's Thursday! Today is my last full day (this week), and I have enough time in this week that I only have to be here for 3 hours tomorrow! I'm thinking I'll sleep in a bit, work out, and then come in to work and get off around 11:30.

I made dinner reservations for tomorrow evening to celebrate the loans getting paid off in March, H's raise and big bonus, and my new job. We have to much to celebrate! I made them for a Brazilian restaurant. I've been, but H hasn't. We have a game of playing "guess where" when we make surprise reservations. He guessed it last night, the booger. Oh well, I think he's pretty excited. We're totally getting the alligator appetizer!

I think H is going with a guy friend to eat food trucks tonight. I only have one lesson! I'm going to eat at home, do a bunch of laundry, teach, work out, and then fold all the laundry while I watch something on Netflix. I wanted to watch some Friends tonight, but that is "our" thing (according to H) so I have to wait until he's home to watch it.

Yay Mexico! Hope you have a blast @minskat30!

I'm thankful for my new beginnings - new job, new place, new opportunities to get to know people.

Thankful for my bed, because wow I love sleep more than ever these days.

Thankful for my family, especially mom and dad, who gave me furniture and helped me move. Couldn't have done it without them.

Thankful for M. So yesterday was my birthday, and due to work schedules my family and I aren't getting together until next weekend to celebrate. So M came over and did some super sweet stuff to make it a nice day for me. He bought me flowers, ordered food and watched a movie I'd been wanting to see with me, just spent time with me talking, and best of all, he put together my dining room table while I was out doing stuff in the morning! That thing has been in pieces and I've been picnicking on my living room floor because I wasn't able to put it together myself. Lol, so I'm thankful that he's really nice and thoughtful like that.

Thankful to be going hiking with him on Sunday and hopefully start getting back in shape!

Thankful for my health. That I can walk and talk and enjoy my life without even thinking about all the things I'm able to do. And thankful to work in a position that allows me to take a small piece of that worry off of others' shoulders.

I'm so thankful for my H. He's just incredible and I love him more than words can describe.

I'm thankful that the kitters let me sleep through the night last night. Brody has been a real terror lately but last night he was on his best behavior and I'm very grateful.

I'm thankful for Netflix. Seriously, TGFN. I have 1 more episode of The Fall and then I'm going to start Bloodline.

I'm thankful for an upcoming weekend of NOTHING! The weather is going to be amazing and I have absolutely no obligations (except for WW) and it is going to be glorious!

Today I'm thankful for my FI who has been doing so many awesome things for us lately! He has been surprisingly on top of his wedding duties, had a great job interview (pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease), took in all of our laundry to get washed and folded without me asking, cleaned the WHOLE apartment yesterday, switched our cable to Fios to save $ and get HBO, ordered a wall mount for our bedroom TV and borrowed a drill from my stepdad so he could install it as soon as it arrives, scheduled a vet appointment for our pup and worked-from-home today so he could take her.

@CocoBellaF it's coming together! Today I'm going to finish putting stuff away, finally, and once my couch gets here on Monday I think it'll definitely feel like home. Brazilian food sounds so yummy, I'm glad you and your H are having a nice celebration dinner tomorrow!

Today I'm thankful for remembering exactly what my kid did the second he walked in the door, because it allowed me to find his phone and not ground him forever and ever.

I'm thankful for my amazing friends, who squee with me, love me, and let me sob all day if I need to.

I'm thankful for FI for just being so damn amazing and patient, and such an amazing father.

I'm thankful for my future ILs, for driving all the way up to VA to babysit this weekend, so that FI and I can get out engagement photos done tomorrow, and birthday dinner on Saturday.

I could really go on and on...

@minskat30 I hope you enjoy every second of your vacation! Not sure if you mentioned it before- what place in Mexico are you staying? I am currently looking for places for our honeymoon.

Our carbon monoxide detector was going crazy last night- I think just because the batteries were dying. But it was 3am and I was scared. Then I read they usually only work for 5-7 years and just because the batteries are working does not mean it can detect the gas. I looked at the date on it this morning and it's 9 years old I think- we've been living in our apartment for over 3 years so I really don't know when the last time the thing was changed. I'm buying a new one today and will take it off our rent check. So I'm thankful that apparently there isn't carbon monoxide in the house and I'm alive today.

I'm thankful for my awesome aunt who colors my hair for free pretty much.

I'm thankful for my mom who wants to help me in any way with anything wedding related.

Even though we don't have a big budget for our HM I'm thankful that we're even going to be able to have a "big" wedding and go away.

@lavenderfields13 - We are staying in Ixtapa at Capella Ixtapa. It is a really beautiful resort. They've already contacted me several times to ask if we have any food issues, if we are celebrating anything, if we want to reserve activities, etc. so I have a feeling the service will be outstanding. I'll AW some pictures when I get back. Another great place in Mexico is Le Blanc in Cancun. H and I went there for our honeymoon and the service there was outstanding as well.

I'm thankful that all that seems to be wrong with the car is front pads and rotors turned on the brakes, and I'm thankful that there's a local tire shop running a special on this service. Sarcastic thanks, car, your timing is impeccable.

I'm thankful one of the professors had a paper copy of my senior design project so I can reference it to write part of a chapter of my dissertation because now I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

I am thankful for my FI and all the support he offers.

I'm thankful for BF. I am very thankful that he finally took my advice and patched things up with his mom. He is such a kind soul and would give you the shirt off his back.

I am thankful for my family. Even though they can get to me at times, I still love that I can rely on any of them for anything!

I am thankful for Friends on Netflix! I have wanted to watch the whole series and not have to buy the box set and Netflix has allowed me to do so.

I am thankful that I have a house, a car, and a job to pay for all the things.

And lastly I am thankful for Tess. I love her snuggles and how she can make me instantly feel better! She is also amazing company when I need to vent.

I am thankful for coffee and for an automatic rain sensor on the car during my drive this morning.

I'm thankful for my mom, who (despite being a bit nuts and emotional about it) has been really helpful with wedding stuff and wants to do whatever she can to make sure I'm not stressed.

I'm thankful that I have co-workers that I like and WANT to see. It makes the workday a lot more bearable!

I'm beyond thankful for my FI. We've had a few frustrating days and I haven't handled it well and he's been awesome and is trying to find solutions to the things that have gone wrong. And I'm thankful for his cute little bum.

Finally, I am thankful that I am getting married in EXACTLY ONE MONTH! I am ready to be done planning this thing and actually have it happen and be married to my FI! I'm also super thankful that we're going on a 10 day HM right after the wedding lol

I'm thankful for DH and how much he takes care of me and supports me. I seriously think I lucked out with him, especially through my crazy hormonal sessions, he just lets me vent and cry and will give me all the hugs. Plus he tells me I'm beautiful when I'm obviously gaining all the weight.

I'm thankful for Maddux and his cuteness. I just love him and all his snuggles. He does the cutest things and I don't even know how to be a normal human being around him lol.

I'm thankful for food because it's yummy and I want it all! I WANT THE SUSHI SO BAD! I MISS IT!

I'm thankful for the little baby peach growing in my UTE. Sometimes you make my ligaments stretch and it hurts but I'm thankful to know that it's just you stretching out your little body and growing like a bean stock.

I'm thankful for my mom and all her words of wisdom. She always knows how to make me come to my senses and quit being a whiny baby.

I am thankful for my job. I am thankful for BF who is taking care of so much around the house for the past few months so I don't have to worry about cleaning a house on top of everything else on my weekends.

I am thankful I don't have anything planned for this weekend, including working at the restaurant, so I can sleep and be lazy.

I am thankful that I am feeling a little better today.

I am thankful for my pets and the bond they have created with BF. I think my cat likes him more than me now.

I am thankful @minskat30 is going to Mexico tomorrow so she can shut up about how she gets to go to Mexico and I won't get a vacation until June. And even then, it's not Mexico.

I'm thankful for my BF, and the fact that he's finally willing to quit smoking with me. We're both still pretty moody, but we both know our bodies are going through changes, so we haven't held anything against one another. We went to bed in bad moods, but I still woke up with his arm around me.

I am, however, not thankful for the weight I've gained this week. I didn't even think I was snacking that much. Either I don't realize, or my metabolism has slowed down or something.

I am thankful for NEY being here to keep me occupied when I really just need a break from it all.

Aw, I love thankful threads. I'm thankful for:

All of the love and generosity from my family. I went to my venue yesterday with my cousin who is doing my flowers, and I'm in awe of how much she plans to do. She's got amazing plans, and I can't believe she's willing to put in the time, effort, and money for it all. Her offer came out of left field, and I still find myself tearing up over it. I'm also excited that my mom and her childhood friends (who are basically like aunts to me) are so excited to plan a shower for me. They copied me on a big group email about finding "the perfect invitations" for the shower, and then when they found the invitations, they had a million questions about the perfect way to word everything. It's really sweet that they're putting forth so much effort. I feel touched that they think so highly of me lol.
FI's new opportunity at work. He had his technical interview yesterday, and he said it went well. He said he was flustered for one question because he knew he was solving the problem incorrectly, but the engineer reminded him of the concept or formula or whatever, and he was able to solve the problem easily from there. He also talked to his contracting company, and they told him to take any opportunity he can-- he'll only need to provide 30 days notice to get out of his current position. Fingers crossed that he hears back soon about the next step, which will likely be a group interview that is both technical and conversational.
I have awesome coworkers! I love my job. I really wish I could invite all of my wonderful, sweet coworkers to my wedding. We have so much fun together. One of my coworkers just came in my office to chat, and we ended up talking for about an hour about anything and everything. Working with awesome people like her are what make me look forward to work every day.
I'm also really appreciative of peppermint tea. WHY AM I STILL SO CONGESTED? My voice still fades in an out, but the peppermint tea helps soothe my throat.
CAKE! I'm thankful for CAKE! and the opportunity to eat ALL THE CAKE on Saturday. Om nom nom.
I'm also thankful for our fantastic friends and their amazing family. We've met the family twice now, but apparently they liked us enough to always ask how we are when they talk to our friend, and they've volunteered to design and make our invitations at a really discounted price at their bindery shop. We're in the process of figuring out when to meet to talk about design and cost, and then we'll look at samples over Memorial Day weekend and potentially print them then.
I'm thankful for @audrewuh for befriending me and teaching me how to sew! I look forward to our date nights every week, and I've really enjoyed getting to know her and her H. I'm so glad she moved here!

That was long-winded, but I'm overflowing with gratitude right now.

I have another one guys. I'm insanely thankful for 2 of my coworkers. Work has been very stressful lately, but two of my coworkers, especially the young lady who sits directly behind me, have kept me sane and calm and feeling loved.

It helps that the girl who sits behind me and I have known each other since she was about 14-15 years old (she rode with my trainer for several years). She's like an amazing little sister. I get excited for her dates and adventures, and she laughs with me over Elijah's mishaps and Noah's crankiness. I want to grab her and give her a big giant hug, but I also don't want her to think I'm a giant creeper. I go home and cry most nights, but the last week has been great and she's been so awesome. I JUST LOVE HER!

ok...let me get off the creeper train now haha

I'm thankful that I submitted my thesis to the graduate school last night! I had to send it off to a typist for formatting and other editing because I'd rather the graduate school just accept it right off the bat. I wasn't sure if she could finish all the edits before the deadline (tomorrow) but she did! I'M DONE!!

I'm thankful that BF finally got a PRA job! He was so down on himself and I think he felt like nothing would ever work out. It's so good to see him happier

I'm thankful for NEY because of the general awesome-ness of the women on here

i am thankful that i leave tomorrow on a cruise with my oldest friend in the world!! should be 4 days of inside jokes and girl talk and way too many drinks!! i am thankful for BF bc we have had a tough 2 days but i take comfort in knowing that no matter what, he always wants to work it out. lastly, i am thankful for NEY...im starting to feel like not as much of a newb and its great to have new friends to chat with every day!

i am thankful for more but have a project due EOD that i need to get back to so i dont have to stay late tonight!

@minskat30 - Just the beach on the Pacific coast. My parents are renting a house on the beach for a week, but it's typically cool temperatures and windy. Not tropical, but I know the dog will love it, and I will get lots of relaxing/reading time.

That sounds lovely @AlPacina - I love the sound of the water. It is so soothing. Our dog loves it too but he just ends up acting like a loon in the water (I don't actually think he knows how to swim so he only goes as far as he can to keep his head above and sort of "hops" in the water). Its like watching a fluffy dolphin pop in and out of the water only 100 times less graceful.
