    Wow I'm actually here for a Friday thread.  Insurgent tonight and going out with the family tomorrow, then Easter dinner Sunday night.  Can't wait for turkey!!!   Everyone was out of town last weekend, so we postponed dinner.

    We have to do FI's taxes on Saturday for sure. We also might take our dog to the dog beach since season is finally over so the traffic won't be as bad.

    On Sunday FI is going to Miami until Tuesday to cover Marco Rubio announcing he's running for president. I don't know what time he's leaving though. Hopefully we'll have time for a nice brunch before he goes.

    At some point this weekend a few of my bridesmaids and I want to have a virtual get together, so will probably be doing that too! Other than that it's video games, video games, video games!

    I am so glad it's finally Friday!

    We have friends in town tonight, but tomorrow I have my first bridal shower! FI's aunts are throwing it for me. I'm pretty pumped!

    Thank goodness it's Friday!

     

    No big plans this weekend other than taking my dad out to dinner tomorrow night for his birthday. H has to work tomorrow morning so I'll try and clean inside the house, since it's supposed to be chillier and cloudy tomorrow.

     

    Sunday we're going to spend a lot of time outdoors, trying to get our yard and landscaping cleaned up. It's an absolute mess from the winter. The weather is going to be gorgeous so I told H that we're going to spend as much as we can working outdoors on Sunday. We may make a trip to Lowes to get mulch and maybe some flowers. I'm sick of seeing brown everywhere and need some color in my life!

    No plans for tonight. Just taking spin and cooking dinner. 

    Tomorrow, going shopping. Then a 40th birthday dinner for a friend.

    A whole lotta nothing, just enjoying the end of spring break.  My next day s off will be for the wedding!  So today, I'll schedule my sub for that, and then just watching movies and knotting, and maybe working on my playlist.  I took my last antibiotic for strep this morning, so I might go grab some wine at some point.  Day drinking and watching movies on a rainy day?  Yesss.

    The weather has been super crummy this week, but Sunday is supposed to be beautiful. I'm looking forward to taking my furbaby on a long walk followed by brunch with DH.

    YAY FRIDAY!

    I was surprised by rain this morning... with no umbrella OR raincoat, because I'd left both of them at work. Joy. I think it's supposed to quit before I get off though, so that's good. If it does, I'm going to get tomato plants! Yay tomatoes!

    FI is working some fancypants 9:30 PM buffet for some fancypants singer whose name I can't put to any songs. He'll probably get home about 3:30 or 4 (I'm not letting myself hope for earlier, although those might be a little extreme), and then he'll have to go right back in Saturday at 2. BUT I think I get to keep him all to myself Sunday! 

    I'm going to do laundry (lame) and cut grass (yay!) Saturday while he's gone and maybe find a different loaf bread to make. I like the one I tried last weekend, but I'm not sure I want to always make it. I'd like some variation if I'm going to be making bread. I want to still enjoy making it so I'll keep making it, and making it so often I don't need the recipe is a quick way to make it where I don't enjoy it.

    All of your plans sound fun!

    My weekend will consist of staining the wood in our new bathroom.. I already have one coat on the walls, but it's a little too light, so I will have to put another coat to darken it up a bit.

    I hate starting to paint or stain, but once I get into it it's actually kind of therapeutic, it's just starting it that KILLS ME.

    I'm seeing Guster tonight :) Tomorrow, having a girls' night out and then Sunday is a baby shower. 

    On top of that I need to find time to clean the dust from my remodel, seal some grout, and prime the walls for painting. Will be drinking a lot of coffee!

I've never been to this particular bakery, but it got amazing reviews on Yelp, and they have some amazing sounding cupcakes. They make filled cupcakes, and some of the flavors include creme brulee, cake batter, and nutella, and they fill the inside with I guess these fillings. I cannot WAIT. Oh, and Madmen of course, Sunday night.



    What bakery is it? Every time FI and I visit NYC we have a cupcake tasting day, where we will literally stop at every bakery we come across and try a cupcake.. (yes we are fatties) So far our favorite has been Georgetown Cupcakes in Soho.

    Working today, client lunch, picking up cousin from aiport, meeting 3 friends for drinks, picking up two more cousins from airport, drinking wine!

    Sat., more people get to town, lobster dinner on Maine Coast, car service taking us to many bars.  In NH, so no cabs and NO drinking and driving!

    Sunday is my bridal shower at an inn in a harbor in Maine.  Praying for just a peep of sunshine.  Looking forward to some stuffed haddock, champagne, and seeing so many friends & family.

    I slept like shit last night, so I am just dragging at work today. I just want to go home and sleep! I already told H that there is no way I am doing anything tonight. I plan on heading straight home and taking off my pants and vegging.

     

    Tomorrow I need to go grocery shopping and then I will meal prep for next week. I am also making a bunch of food to take over to my friend who just had a baby a month ago which brings me to...

     

    Sunday I am so excited to meet my friend's baby! We are going to relax, eat breakfast, and then we might take baby shopping.

    So much yes to the bolded. We've spent every weekend for the last who-knows-how-long running around trying to get our grown-up chores done because we had plans for both days of the weekend. I'm over it. We took today off since we got home so late from the game last night, so DH is doing his errands and I'm working a little from home. The rest of the weekend will be devoted to finally cleaning up our mess of a living room.

    It's my dad's 60th birthday this weekend but he's not the kind of guy to make a big deal about it, so we're taking him out to lunch tomorrow so he can watch the Masters in peace for the rest of the weekend, haha.

    Other than that, a whole lotta nothing if I get my way. The apartment needs a bit of a scrub because we've been away the past few weekends to ski and I've just been kind of surface-Lysoling, but I did the bathrooms last night so I should have plenty of time to flop on our couch and watch some of the silly Animal Planet documentaries FI PVRs for me.

    We got our marriage license yesterday, so now this weekend can just be dedicated to finishing up small details.  I plan on bringing out the piles of stuff we need to take and getting them organized so we don't forget anything next Friday or Saturday.  I'm so glad the day is almost here and I won't have to think about wedding stuff any more!

    H is getting fitted for a mouth guard this afternoon and then we're going for SUSHI. 

    I'm also dragging him to that artisanal cider place so I can pick up a bottle or two for my friend coming to the east coast next weekend for a craft show I'm helping her with. I'm super excited for that cause it will be the first time since my wedding that I've seen her, and we're getting together with another friend so it will be fun. 

    This weekend is pretty chill.

    I'm working today and filing a brief that I wrote! Well, my boss changed basically everything. But I wrote the first draft! I have no idea how late I'll have to stay for that. My friend is coming over tonight and I'm so excited because I haven't seen her in ages. We are eating tacos and drinking. Then she's staying over because...

    Tomorrow is my first fitting!!! FMIL and my friend are coming with me. Tomorrow we also have dance class and I will probably work in the evening.

    Sunday we are hoping to get in a hike somewhere nearby, maybe one of the state parks or our wedding venue (county park). It's going to be a very full weekend.

    I have a phone interview for a new job today, so I am a nervous wreck, but after that FI and I are going into the city for some fancy pizza and drinks.

    Tomorrow I think we are exploring a massive, old cemetery near our apartment, since it is supposed to be nice out. I'm excited to finally be going outside on the weekends.

    Not much going on this weekend, but I'm completely okay with that. Our neighborhood is having brush pickup but unfortunately it's supposed to rain all weekend. So I'm hoping to convince H to finish some of the little house projects we started so we can finally invite our family and friends over to show off our new home!
