My wedding's not until July 2016. I don't want to book too early but I also don't know when it is too late/too little time. I'm wondering when is the latest I should book my flowers? TIA

This really depends on the florist and what they allow.

When I worked as a florist the owner of the store would take down a wedding date but really wouldn't talk to brides about their wedding in depth until they had their colors nailed down (meaning BM dresses picked). So I guess the earliest she would really start talking details was 6 months in advance.

So if you have a specific florist in mind that you just had to use regardless of what they may cost then get your date on the books and nail down details later. Now if you want to price compare then I guess you could start looking around about 9 months in advance. This way you don't really need specific colors but rather just an idea of what you are wanting and how much it would be. Then at about 6 months out you can pick a florist and then really start discussing stuff.

If you know the florist you want to use, go ahead and book them in now. If you want to price shop, wait until it's closer to the wedding. Even if you think you're late, you'll still be able to have flowers to meet your needs (as long as it's not some super rare out of season bloom that you need months and months to order in..)...
