Wedding Woes

Happy Friday!

What's up for the weekend?

I'm hoping it will finally stop raining.  Tonight I get a hair cut.  Tomorrow 6let has baseball, but the field doesn't drain so I think I'm skipping.  Sunday we are FINALLY having great grandma's birthday party.  It's going to be a cluster.

Just booked zip-lining too!  Last time we were supposed to go I was pregnant so I'm excited

  • I'm going to call the doctor when they open in 20 minutes.  DD2 still can't keep anything down, including water.

So depending on how that^ goes:

Tomorrow Son has his first baseball game of the season.  I'm excited for it to be starting up again.  And he has tryouts for the high school team next month.  Yikes.

    Sunday the girls have practice.

The stomach thing around here is lasting 24-72 hrs.

I think I'm just sad about our schedules starting to fill up.  Next year 6let will be in school full time and we'll both have psr on Wednesday.  He and M2 will have soccer and I might put her in gymnastics again since she's loving it (but that's Friday mornings)

H got home at 5 am this morning after forced OT.  So I'm dragging a bit because I missed that last hour of sleep.  I didn't mind terribly because he was extra snuggly.

Today I'm done around noon, we'll see if I actually get my butt out the door then.  I kind of dawdle on Fridays.  Then I have dinner with friends this evening, so I'm excited about that.

This weekend not much is planned, I would like to do a good thorough spring clean though, maybe start research on retaining wall project and fire pit project.  I told H I'd do both myself, so that is up to me.  I'm kind of excited to stretch my wings.
  • Just had an amazing breakfast at BIL's fave place and now we're NC bound.

Mom just called to say that my dad has to have a biopsy at the end of the month. The tumor is l likely benign. But that doesn't stop my brain from worrying. Ugh.
  • DH let me sleep a bit this morning, got the kids up and dressed, then took them to daycare. I ate some breakfast, and now I'm going to work. Depending on my morning, I might have time to meet DH at his favorite BBQ place for lunch. I also want to stop off at ULTA because I have a 20% off coupon that's burning a hole in my pocket.

This weekend DS has swim lessons on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday I'm going to a Sephora event and then we have a birthday party for SIL's daughter later on.

Random: M2 is FINALLY turning the corner and eating "grown up" food.  Pork for dinner last night a wrap of hummus and cheese today.
  • DD2 has a bug.  And a prescription to help keep liquid down.  She is absolutely miserable.

I'm thinking I'll be missing the game tomorrow.
  • Hi all, nice to meet you! First time checking out this board, and I love the ridiculous advice column postings.

FI and I have had a very busy few weeks, so tonight we're ordering in and binge-watching Orphan Black. Visiting venues tomorrow, then the hockey finals!
  • Boo Taw! Poor girl. I hope she starts feeling better soon.

Lots and lots of benign tumor vibes, mrs.conn.

Nothing much here.  DH is stressed because of this new mega project, and it's challenging.  So he's been tons of fun this week.  FIL canceled, as expected, soccer is off for spring break, and the weather is supposed to be beautiful.  I'm tempted to take the kids to do something and leave Cranky Pants home, but that's probably not very nice.

They opened a new outlet mall 10 minutes from my office a few months back, but I hadn't been until I ran over there on my lunch hour today.  (DS only has like 4 short sleeve shirts that fit, so I stuck him in one of his 24M tees from last fall today.  Not cool.)  I could have spent all afternoon there, but I hit three stores, got him a swimsuit, some shorts and tees, a pair of sandals, and a couple of dresses for DD, and made it back in an hour on the nose.  I have a feeling this could become a bad habit.
