Baby Montage Songs

I'm having trouble picking out a song for my FH  ( baby montage).  Any suggestions???

Re: Baby Montage Songs

  • What is a baby montage and how does this coorelate to a wedding?

  • @maggie0829 it's exactly how it sounds.. A random slideshow of baby photos of the B&G for no reason during a reception

OP, honestly, I would skip this. A family member did this at their wedding and not only do I NOT remember the song that was playing, but I also kept wondering when it would be over so we could eat/dance. I remember thinking the first two photos were cute, but then it just becomes monotonous.

If you're set on doing something like this, have you thought about maybe framing a few childhood photos and putting them on the guest book table, instead?
  • Thanks@kikilamp.  OP I agree with PP.  That just sounds miserable to sit through.  This kind of stuff is best kept to the RD, not the wedding.  Sorry to say that very very few of your guests will enjoy such a slide show.

  • I'm with PPs. I think this is something you should skip.
  • I agree also. Guests tend not to be interested in photo montages or slide shows at weddings when they are treated as captive audiences.

FI & I decided to frame a childhood photo of each of us to set on the escort card table along with a framed engagement picture. I would agree with other posters on this one, that you would be better of omitting the montage from your reception timeline.

  • Interesting - the childhood photo of him and I sounds like a good idea! Thank ya

Why? Why is it a good idea? You're adults - not infants. It doesn't make any sense.

No one wants to watch a slideshow of your childhoods or your entire lives.

If you insist on doing this, have it looping on a laptop in the corner. That way, people who want to watch it can and people who don't want to watch it can socialize.

I think the OP meant that just framing a childhood picture of each of them and displaying those somewhere sounded like a good idea. But maybe I'm mistaken in thinking that.
