Wedding Woes

Morning :D

It's almost Friday.  DefConn and I are ready to sleep in this weekend.  He's been asking for "four more minutes" every morning.

We have new neighbors behind us.  DH doesn't care about meeting neighbors, but it would be nice to get to know one or two.  Everyone has kids around here.  I'm kind of hoping someone will build on the lot next to us sooner than later.  Mainly so the sidewalk will be completed.

I really hope DH doesn't work this weekend.  He's having a shitty week. Also, it's our first weekend in forever that we don't have anything planned. We haven't had a free weekend in about a month.

    ded @ "four more minutes".

Today I plan to do more bridal shower stuff.  Tonight I'm taking the girls to their practice while DH takes Son to his (and coaches, since he's the asst).

All we have planned for the weekend is baseball, one game friday, one game saturday, practice sunday.  Other than that, nothing.  Tomorrow is our 12 year meetaversary so maybe I'll use it as an excuse to do dinner out.

ETA:  Last night I gave DD2 her first hair cut.  It was less than 1/2in off, but still, baby hairs were cut.
  • Congratulations Taw on your meetaversary!  Ours was 11 years yesterday.

  •  YAY for meetaversaries!!  Ours was in January (11 years).

Also, the kiddo and DH let me put peel off masks on them last night.  :D  Their reactions were funny when they were peeling them off.

Oh and Taw, he even holds up four fingers when he asks for more time.

I love that we all still celebrate meetaversaries, date-aversaries, etc.  :)

    Congrats taw, that's awesome.

Conn, I love that you're DefConn's snooze button.  I do that for H when I'm at home and he's sleeping in.  The visual of 4 fingers is  killing me.  So funny.

I'm pulling for the weekend.  I'm slowly working through my to-do list.  I also have to call the stealership and get a new fob ordered for the car (to replace the one I lost) that noone has even asked me about.  Sheesh.

Also, our new sectional is coming on Saturday.  And H and a crew are framing and putting up our garage on Saturday, or at least starting.  It's a large building and it'll be a long weekend for them.  I'm just providing food and comfort.  Yep.
  • DH and I can't do a meet-a-versary.  Technically we had about 3 meetings before we actually knew each other.  Yay, small towns.  We worked next door to each other for years and each knew the other one.  Then, there was a run-in at Barnes and Noble when he worked there (we both remembered the cute one and I know he really does b/c he remembers what author I asked for).  Then there was the meeting at a bar in a group of friends where I said, "Hi, I'm Varuna, what're you doing?", and he said, "Hi, I"m waiting for my GF to text me back".

We do celebrate first date, it's easy to remember b/c it was on the Ides of March and it was...er, somewhat of a disaster as aforementioned GF?  Who was by then the ex-GF?  Unexpectedly showed up.
  • Since we "met" online, we have a meet-a-versary and a met-in-person-a-versary.  Technically we had a "wink", email and phone call-a-versary, but that's too much to keep track of.

  • Morning. I will have to make a post about DS's epic meltdown. It was hilarious.

Nothing much here. Tonight we're meeting up with my sister and mom after they do wedding dress things. Tomorrow night is Wine and Yoga Pants night (WOOOOO!). Not sure what our weekend plans are.

DH and I met in September but I do remember our first date day. I've known him for 14 years. I bet he wishes he wouldn't have taken me to that movie and figured out how awesome I am.

I don't remember meeting DH the first time.  We spent a couple of hours together, but I'm guessing he was just an annoying part of a busy day.  I gave him a tour and helped interview him.
  • DH and I met 3 days before our friends' wedding. So every year when they post about their anniversary I'm like "oh yeah, our meetaversary was the other day."
  • We met in person August 2004 (he contacted me online before that - late july or early august) - i could probably figure out the first meeting/date if i looked at a calendar. it was the friday before classes started.
