- The Deathly Hallows symbol with "Mischief Managed" around it on my right calf
- A rose behind my left ear
- The word "Imagine" on my left collarbone in my mom's handwriting (my brother, sisters and mom all have this one in various places on their left sides)
The next one I'm getting is "Let it be" on my right collarbone. I'm going to get "Imagine" touched up before I do that though; it hurt a biiiiiiiiiiiitch and so it looks the worst out of all of them, even though it's the newest one.
And then after that I want to get "I love you" in both my parents' handwriting on my wrists.
And then I want something colorful. The only color I have is in the rose, and I rarely get to see it unless I'm looking for it.
CAN I cover them all? Yep. DO I? Nope. Right now, I have the Imagine partly visible, my hair is up so the rose is visible, and if I get up and walk around people could see the quill. The only reason my Hallows tattoo isn't is because it's jeans day and so JEANS.
@hellosweetie1015 I LOVE the HP tattoo!!! I am 100% a proud HP nerd (yeah, I'm totally waiting for my letter, it's 17yrs late at this point) and have been wanting to take that tattoo plunge for a long time, just haven't done it yet!

Ooh, girl, that tattoo came out of my planning to link ALLLLLLLL the symbols out of ALLLLLLLL my favorite books together. Originally, it was HP, LoTR, and Narnia (Hallows, Ring, Lion). And then... it kept getting bigger. And bigger. Eventually it wound up having enough symbols that it would have gone all the way up and down my body. So.... it got condensed, haha. And of the three originals, HP was the one that had the biggest effect on me.
I'm still waiting on my letter too... 15 years, I've waited.
Love all the tattoos! I'm seriously tempted to just go for it.
FTR, I was planning on going @hellosweetie1015 's route and get the Deathly Hallows symbol (a very small one).
I do love the quill and inkpot, and @novella's hot air balloon idea too!
Just going for it got me every one but the quill and inkpot. I won't lie, I totally prepped for a couple months for the first one. But the rest were much more spur-of-the-moment.
With mine, I didn't decide until the day of whether I was going to get the Franz Marc painting or a Da Vinci sketch of a horse. I didn't make an appointment, I walked into a shop. And I told them I needed to catch a bus in an hour. I'm probably the worst tattoo customer ever.
Other than researching for a good tattoo shop and ruminating over some vague ideas, I went for it. I'm sure the next will go something like "hey, H, know what we should do? Go get more tattoos""OK"
Since we're posting pictures Excuse my fancy instagram photo style.
Where are you and can I come join!?
Ha I wish! I'm actually at work. My toenails look like shit right now so I found this old picture.
Well that's not as fun. I was totally picturing princess littlepep chilling by the pool while her man servant in his lime green speedo brought a new martini. Of course this is all happening while your super sexy man is calling you to tell you he left his credit card on the counter so you can go wild at Target once you are done tanning, and feel free to take the town car, Fabio is available to drive

Yep, some of mine were totally spur of the moment. For the stars on my heel, we were in Vegas for my 21st birthday. My cousin said, "Hey let's go get matching tattoos." I said, "Ok." We couldn't agree on what to get so we just did simple stars. No regrets.

That sounds like a lovely life! Not all of us have drug lord husbands like @ashley8918 though.

I was only jealous of the pool at first.
Now I'm jealous of your whole "life".
(ETA: the one LMSM gave you anyway. We're going to pretend that's your real life now.)
A comedy/drama mask on my left shoulder. The first few lines of the poem "High Flight" across my upper back A custom combination pisces/sagittarius/cancer symbol on my mid back (for me and my kids) A Celtic cat design on my lower back A large Japanese koi piece on my right hip/thigh Frank Frazetta's Vampirella on my right calf An ugly dragon that I hate on my left leg
Planned:
A Legend of Zelda half sleeve An ocean/tropical fish half sleeve A custom piece that I'm planning around the theme of writing (on my upper left leg, probably)
I've had most of these for a long time. I've never had a problem getting a job. ;-)
Slight digression, but it amuses me when you find out that a conservatively dressed coworker has tattoos. People usually give me the, "YOU have a tattoo??" line when they find out I do.
One of my favorite coworkers always wears long sleeve shirts and/or blazers, and it wasn't until we were trading Instagram accounts that I learned why: the man is covered in ink. I would have never guessed.
All of these look awesome! I'll most likely never get a tatoo. If I did though, I know exactly what I want. I would want a scooter tattoo behind my ear. That's what V and I call each other sometimes. Plus we love taking road trips, riding bikes, ect. So it would have several meanings.
I currently have two tattoos- wanting to get more in the future. One on the side of my ribcage that says "we all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are all different and yet the same"
And one below my collarbone of a bird with the saying "I am no bird, and no net ensnares me"
Both of these pictures are when they were freshly done.
I love AW threads. I don't have pics of all mine on my phone but here's a few. My half sleeve is my fave tropical flowers and octopus's garden, inner bicep is vintage map of the world. My cat on my calf. Palm tree on my inner ankle. Area code on my other bicep (represent!), my name in a tramp stamp, my parents initials on my rib cage.

I am thinking of getting another one on the inside of my wrist or on my other ankle, but haven't decided yet.
