I've been having frequent wedding-related nightmares, which I presume is a normal thing for brides-to-be. It also tells me that I must be about 3 weeks out and getting nervous. Here are two I had last night:
- I went to a dress fitting only to find that my dress was bright pink and very short. Somehow they had misplaced and/or dyed and shortened my original dress.
- Immediately before the ceremony I realized I had forgotten to put up a sign directing the guests to the bathrooms (which are located in a different building from the ceremony space), so I was frantically driving all over town in my wedding dress and up-do looking for a cheap chalkboard easel.
I find these simultaneously humorous and terrifying. Anyone else have some memorable wedding-related dreams they wish to share?
Re: Wedding-related nightmares
In my dream my wedding was crashed by a group of about 10 kids from "the bad crowd" from my high school. They were all wearing flannel shirts and I tried to chase them out of the reception venue screaming and threatening them but they wouldn't leave. It's strange because these were very specific kids but I graduated from high school almost 20 years ago and haven't seen any let alone thought of these people since then.
I told him that he needed to take them down and that if he really needed garland I had some streamers in the car. I came back to find he wrapped each hot dog individually in the crepe paper streamers.
Real FI was very confused when he woke me up in the morning and the first thing I told him was he was forbidden from decorating with hotdogs.
I might have had a couple other small ones, but the one that stands out:
Somehow I forgot that it was my wedding, so I woke up that day and realized that I have NOTHING planned: no hair, no make up, no dress. I even woke up late so I didn't have time to shower so I totally went to my wedding with bedhead. None of the guests seemed to notice/care but I was SUPER stressed out!
Can't figure out why I had a dream at all; we've got so much done and our planner says she's practically inventing us for things to do each month because we're ahead of schedule...
