I'm kind of sad

So I was told about two months ago I will not be having a shower and no one else has offered to host one for me.

I know having a shower isn't a guarantee but I was hoping someone would offer when my mom said she couldn't do it.

. Does your MOH have much experience with weddings? Mine doesn't so she didn't realize she was supposed to host a shower for me. She read something about it the other day and called me and is planning one for January. She's super excited to do it, just hadn't thought about it before.

There is still time, so I wouldn't worry about it too much for now. Especially with Christmas coming up

Mine haven't offered either (and I have two! lol both have been married before), but to be honest...I find the games at bridal shower/baby showers to be EXCRUCIATING and just so not for me.

Hopefully people are just thinking that it is just soo far away yet to plan something ... OR could it be possible they are going to surprise you with one?

This is my MOH first time being part of a wedding and pretty much everyone in my bridal partys first time, including my mother and my FMIL. I think I might invite my BMs, my mom & FMIL out to lunch but since I'm not asking for any gifts or anything like that I think that would be ok right? Since it wouldn't be considered me hosting my own bridal shower?

A) Try not to get bummed

Do NOT registry stalk, because if it is a surprise a lot of your items will get bought and you'll probably figure it out...there goes the surprise.
C) Try not to be bummed. Again

A and C probably don't help much because I realize it's so much easier said then done. Could it be possible if somebody else could host it? With that said: Don't go to your second aunt and say "Hey, I'm not having a shower, will you throw me one..." Looks super bad on etiquette part. I don't know actually how to go around that with etiquette so probably just ignore my bad advice. lol But you're right, nobody owes you a shower, and it's good you understand that.

But either way, I'm still really sorry. It sucks, but hopefully there's a little a little magic waiting for you around the corner?
