Photography and Videography Packages; Photo Locations

Hi!
Does anyone have any suggestions for a photography and videography packages? (One that would include engagement/save the date shots would be great too!)  We are still in the first steps of planning, but we do believe we will be getting married down the shore, possibly in Red Bank or Point Pleasant. Are there any locations you can suggest for pictures around that area?

Re: Photography and Videography Packages; Photo Locations

  • What is your budget?
  • If we can get a videography & photography package together our budget would be around 5,000.  For photography only, around 3,000 and I'm not too sure how much videography alone, but preferably less than 3,000 for that.
  • We just booked with Enchanted Celebrations. They had really good reviews and all their pictures looked very nice as well as their video. I would highly suggest looking into them. For photo/video our package was 3000 so I was happy. As for places to take photo's depends on what kind of setting your looking for. You can go to the boardwalk or inlet in Point, take photo's on the jetty or on the beach. Red Bank you can take photo's around town or by the water. Go to allaire state park or Asbury park. So many different places.

  • I'm not too sure about locations in the area since I am from northern NJ but definitely check out Idalia Photography - we booked Alex and Jay and they are amazing!! Right within your budget for photo + video :)
  • Hi, I just got married this pass Mother's Day and my photographer was Jason Rhee, he is right in your budget.  He doesn't give save the dates, but it includes engagement session, photo album, parent album, etc....Not for nothing I got my save the dates from Vista Print, $50 for 100, I found a deal on groupon.  I did magnets, and they were thin enough to fit in a frame if my family chose to, but it was fun going to everyone's house and seeing our pics on their fridge LOL.....

If you would like to see some of my pics, just private message me and I will send you some...he sent us some spoiler shots for our wedding and we have our engagement shoot as well,  they are phenom!!!

Videography I used Nes, also great, he also just released a spoiler video for us...so if you want to see that just let me know :)

I figured I would chime in because our budget was the same for the same requirements and these 2 vendors fit our budget, our needs and wants......

  • We are getting married in North Jersey but since we met down the shore we took engagement photos there- Asbury Park has a ton of options all within a 10 min walk for shooting locations... the old casino, the carouse, convention hall, the beach, a really cool tile wall in front of the empress..
Point Pleasant boardwalk would also be a fun location for photos ( especially in the summer the rides and games are open)

As for photographers- we are using John Agnello for pictures and for video. He is based out of Northern Jersey so I don't know if a travel fee would apply.

I also used vistaprint for save the dates as our photographer did not offer magnet options (only postcards) and I really prefer magnets

We are using Abella Studios. They were the second best videographers we have seen. The first were out of our price range and I'm sure we will love the photos and video. They are constantly running promos including open house pricing and have an office in Howell. My friends did some fun engagement pics in Asbury Park.
  • I was going to say Abella Studios. They literally offer the best overall packages, and I've contacted at least 15 different studios.

They did two weddings I was in and the pics and video came out fantastic.  They do offer monthly open house, next one is end of Aug (I think Aug 26th).  I saw their open house deals it would def fit your budget.

And you get A LOT for the price they offer you.  Sign up for their mailing list. They send about 1 email a day but it goes to my wedding email so I don't really mind.
