I miss the days of KUI

I went to the dentist on Monday for a cleaning and unfortunately had to go back yesterday. Explain to me how H hasn't been to the dentist in TWELVE YEARS and has 4 cavities and I was last there 6 months ago and have 3 fillings! It's just not fair. I take good care of my teeth, I just have really, really bad teeth. It sucks. 2 of the 3 is not feeling right today so I have to call and will probably have to go back again to get them fixed

Has anyone heard of Blue Apron? My friend accidentally texted me (it was intended for her husband) what she was making for dinner last night and it was something super duper fancy. She told me she is obsessed with Blue Apron which is where they send you all of the ingredients and recipes for 3 dinners for 2 people. Everything is fresh and it comes in a refrigerated box. I signed up today and my first box (which is free since she referred me) arrives on the 15th. I'll be sure to report back if anyone is interested. I'm really excited!

Tonight, I have to go to Home Depot (I feel like it's my other home anymore) to pick up stuff I ordered online and get more paint so we can finally finish the hutch for the dining room, the TV stand, and the guest room and bathroom.

At least it's almost Friday!

@Swazzle - I have terrible teeth too. I always have cavities. My grandma had dentures by her 50s and my mom has almost all crowns. I'm fucked. I hope you get those filings feeling better!

Yesterday was our home inspection. It went alright, considering almost everything is as old as the house. But BF and I walked in and fell in love all over again!

Here is a picture of my favorite wall in the house. I am so surprised they didn't include it in any of the listing photos!

@Swazzle I've heard of Blue Apron..I've never tried it but some of my FB friends use it. They seem to really like it.

@swazzle we live at home depot too, especially when ours is just across the highway. I feel like some months I should hand over my whole pay check to them

I am exhasted, I did not sleep well last night and it took me forever to fall asleep. I think mosty from my congestion, my allergies have been bad since yesterday afternoon. 7 weeks until I take my exam! I can't wait to be done with studying already. The house is a mess and really needs to be deep cleaned, it's on the to do list this weekend. I am so glad it's almost Friday, I feel like the week has been dragging so much. I really would love some chocolate cake right now. I'd love to bake one too, but studying in the priority.

I have a quiz in class today. It's open book, open notes, open examples, so I have to remember to load all the examples we've done so far on my flash drive before class (everything has been done in LabVIEW, and there is no book and no way to take notes - he goes so fast!). Otherwise I'll keep reviewing the accreditation self-study. I strained my knee yesterday, so we couldn't go to church. I'm hoping to take it easy.

@southernpeach89 - You just reminded me that I have gift cards for Macy's still from my shower which was SO long ago. I should spend them!

@Peaseblossom55 - I have a HD and Lowe's within 3 minutes of my house. We've definitely been spending ALL of our money at both stores (Lowe's is easier to get/from to but I prefer the customer service and paint at HD) lately to make sure we're ready for our party next weekend.

@KeptInStitches - I hope your knee feels better soon and good luck on the quiz!

@swazzle, there is a pretty good concentration of stores by you too. We have a lowe's about 25 minutes away, even so we prefer Home Depot.

ETA let me know how the Blue Apron is!!!!! I'm getting very lazy with my cooking lately.

I've been a little MIA lately, I've been lurking just not commenting a lot. My mom is visiting/having doctors appointments because the doctors in Idaho don't know what the fuck they are doing. They messed up a $20,000 procedure that was supposed to confirm their diagnosis. So my mom is down here because The University of Colorado Hospital is one of the best in the country. She had some tests done yesterday and was supposed to have the procedure they fucked up in Idaho done today but the doctors here said they don't think that her original diagnosis was right and don't want to do that procedure any more. But they also don't know what it is - so it could be worse or better. She'll have to come again on the 15th for a different procedure that will let them know more and hopefully give us some answers.

Besides all the medical stress, it's nice having my mom visit! We've just been relaxing and hanging out at my apartment. After work today we are going to go to Boulder and then have dinner with BF's parents later tonight. I'm so glad it's Thursday because that means tomorrow is Friday and I actually don't have to work Saturday so I'll get to have a full weekend this week! Woo hoo!

@swazzle, you sound like me at the dentist. Every. Damn. Year when I get an XRay, they find a million cavities. I was just reading about Blue Apron too, I want to try it but we have a ton of monthly boxes we ordered, it's getting out of hand!

Today is just work, work, work. My boss has been good lately and shutting himself in his office so that means more time to play around on here. I can't wait for Friday. I was running late today and ended up having to drive into work which wasn't too bad (usually traffic is a nightmare in the city I work in).

Tonight H and I are going up to the upper part of the state for a couple of things, it's near a conveyor belt sushi restaurant that I love, so I'm hoping we go there for dinner.

This weekend I'm opening the pool! I cannot wait! H bought all the chemicals yesterday and a couple of zero gravity chairs. I can't wait to be a bum on the weekends this summer!

Happy Thursday, ladies. I can barely move my arms thanks to this morning's workout. But I'm happy because working out = Coke day! Woohoo! Tonight I'm making Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Boats. I hope the spaghetti squash I got ages ago is still good... otherwise they will be Zucchini lasagna boats

@buddysmom80 - The dentist is the devil. Right now I'm getting StitchFix and Dollar Shave Club. I know you do DSC too, what else? That sushi restaurant sounds amazing. I CAN'T WAIT FOR POOL PARTIES. Where did you get the zero gravity chairs? I really want to get a couple but I can't find them for a reasonable price anywhere.

Yesterday I spent the day at a Payroll Seminar. It was informative but loooong. Then last night my Aunt had a Norwex party. I had never heard of the stuff, but it all seems pretty cool so I booked a party!

MY NEW STOVE COMES TOMORROW!! I can't even wait. It's pretty sad I'm so excited for a stove but ours sucks so bad. I will take before and after pics to share. I was supposed to take the whole day and paint my kitchen with my mom but she is going away so I will only be going home for the delivery and then coming back to work. Which is okay because I need to save my vacation days.

@swazzle - my BIL & SIL introduced us to Blue Apron a few weeks ago. They loved it, so I just signed up on Monday! I'll get the first box next week.

Speaking of boxes - does anyone do a wine club that they really like? H & I are going to buy our wine bar/rack - mostly so we have somewhere to store all the wine glasses we got off our registry, haha - but I want to start stocking up on some wine so it doesn't look totally ridiculous. I found one I get a free month of thanks to TheSkimm (the best thing ever - sign up here!! LINK) but I wanted to see if there were any other ones people used & liked.

I'm getting some work done today, and then meeting up with some friends at my very favorite Mexican restaurant tonight for our first patio drinking of the spring! This place has THE BEST sangria, and I can't wait to put some chimichanga in my face.

@swazzle right now I have Dollar Shave Club, Ipsy (thanks H!), Bark Box for the fur baby, my mom is getting me Birch Box for my birthday and H subscribed to Nerd Block which he LOVES. So far all the boxes we got so far we love which is a surprise because my dog is picky about treats. We bought our zero gravity chairs at a store called Ocean State Job Lot. They're a brownish color, but they were $35 each so I'm not going to complain, if you want a couple, let me know I'll pick them up for you this weekend. They also sell yard games for $20 each so I might pick up a few for pool parties.

@GoldenPenguin - I do a wine club but it's through a specific LI winery that I visited a couple months ago. I've only gotten 1 delivery but I really liked the wines they sent me. Is there a winery near you? I think most of them do their own wine club so that could be an option. IT'S SUMMER, SILLY HEAD, NOT SPRING!

@buddysmom80 - Omg that's a GREAT price! The best I could find anywhere was $55 each. Let me talk to H and I'll get back to you!

Morning ladies. I...just...can't this morning. I'm cranky beyond belief and snapped at H this morning, though he was being irritating (though I was being irritating too more than likely). I must be PMSing or something because I'm just cranky and want to cry. Feeling like I'm PMSing also leads to feeling upset about TTC. Sorry to vent, I know its only been like 6 or so months for me TTC, but I'm just so all over the place. Ugh. There is a part of me that hates hormones and misses BC honestly. I'm so used to being "regular" in the emotional department. Oh, and I gave up wine this week, have been counting calories and magically gained 3lb this week. Again, hoping it is water weight from PMS. Ok, I'm done...sorry.

@Swazzle - I have bad teeth too so I feel you. In fact last night I had a dream that four of my teeth outright feel out and the dentist wasn't open for two days. I was freaking out in my dream.

@Bethsmiles - I'm sorry about your mom. Hugs.

@bethsmiles - I've missed you! I'm so sorry about all the problems with your mom's diagnosis. Hopefully they messed up the procedure as in they didn't get a sample they needed, rather than they caused an unnecessary injury to your mom?

@buddysmom80 - I wish I knew someone with a pool here. My parents have one, but 5 hours of driving each way just doesn't seem worth it. Then again, it's supposed to be 90 here this weekend..... I hope you have all kinds of fun! I'm so jealous!

@cu97tiger - Coke day? As in soda coke? Or as in cocaine coke? Cuz one will taste good, but the other will definitely help you feel stronger!

@GoldenPenguin - Sangria is the only alcohol I can drink an entire pitcher of by myself and not question my drinking habits in any way.

@TwoDimes - Oh my gosh, that is so sweet of your coworkers! I hope you have a blast at the BBQ.

@minskat30 - I definitely think I have enough books to fill it. We have 3 bookshelves already, and I've been giving away almost all of my books after I read them because I'm out of shelf space!..... PMSing is the worst. I hope you're back to feeling like yourself soon. It is so sad that there is almost nothing we can do. Once I'm in my "dark place" there is no getting out of it, as badly as I want to.
