  • "Could I BE wearin any more clothes?" is my all time favorite Friends line.

I've been trying to work and not get too distracted today, but I'm just gonna say it. . . One of my best impressions is of Janice. Everyone always can tell who I'm trying to laugh like.

Anyone else do any good impressions?

  • @AlPacina I do great impressions! Especially of people I know or have met. I just love copying he way people talk lol

I love all the GIFs ladies!  :)  I got stuck in derivatives hell for the last few hours so that really made my day!

@CocoBellaF - More NEY behbehz please.  Seriously though, warn your H... I was an emotional wreck for a month or so off the pill,  Then again, my emotions are still all over the place 6 months later so maybe its just me.  ;)

@Caseface5 - Yeah for early birthday festivities!
  • I'm at the library trying to study and the guy sitting across from me is listening to music in his headphones and I don't think he realizes he's dancing. It's distracting. Library dance party?

In all seriousness I hope he stays because I have a stalker situation going on and I fully intend on introducing him as my friend/bf/fiancee (surprise!) if said stalker shows up. I doubt that would make him leave me alone but at least the whole "oh she's with somebody" thing might deter him from bothering me at work. Last time I was here at the library he stood over me while I studied saying nothing for what felt like five minutes. He wouldn't leave until I acknowledged him. He asks for me at work every morning that I'm not there (and I'm rarely there in the morning so it's pretty much every day). He's just a lonely old man, but it's pretty nerve wracking to be honest.
  • @untouchables - Why haven't you told him to back off?  Seriously, be assertive and firm that he should leave you alone.  From first hand experience, unfortunately, lots of stalkers continue to stalk (and escalate their stalking) when women are too nice to say something.  It can start "nice" with a firm "I don't appreciate you standing over me/asking for me/following me, please leave me alone" and then get more firm if he continues with a "If you continue this behavior, I'm going to have to call the cops/security officer/etc".
  • @caseface5 Since we're talking about Friends and birthdays...

@minskat30 it didn't start escalating until recently, but you're right i definitely need to tell him off. At first I just thought he was awkward and trying to just be nice but then he made a comment about my makeup one morning at work (i wasn't wearing any, my lips were stained from lipstick I was wearing the night before) and then the library incident. I was so unnerved that I just gave him a half-hearted "i'm busy" kind of wave and that's when he left. Today I hid from him when he came into work (I work at Starbucks and he's a regular, that's where he knows me from) and found out that he asks for me. I'm not trying to be nice I just literally cannot think of anything else to do in that moment.
  • I love that this turned into a Friends gif thread! I'm also sad I've been busy at work and haven't been able to keep up with it!

  • I hear you @untouchablets but, again from experience, best to nip it in the bud.  Guys like that only stalk the nice girls because they know they won't be told off.  If he remarks about your cloths, makeup, etc. at work, I'd completely ignore his question and just ask "What would you like to order?" (I'd give your boss a heads-up as to the library situation too so if you need to escalate your response to a response like "I don't think that is an appropriate question and it isn't any of your business").  If he approaches you outside of work I wouldn't even bother with the formalities, honestly, and tell him to leave you alone.  Don't be afraid to be "rude"...your safety comes far ahead of his feelings.
  • @minskat30 you're right. Next time I encounter him I will try to let him know. Everyone at work knows about him looking for me except maybe my boss, so I will let her know when I see her. I usually don't have a problem telling people what's what, once someone told me I have a nice ass (exact words) while I was serving him coffee and I whipped around and told him that was rude and not to say anything like that again. I guess maybe because this guy is old and sad looking is why I haven't said anything. Again, I just found out he's been looking for me today so I guess now is the time.
  • I am thankful for so many things today!

    1. It's my best friends wedding shower this weekend.

    2. The law partners I work for were not in the office today, so I have been TK lurking all day :)

    3. The Blackhawks won last night!!

    4. I am beyond thankful for my FI. I opened my wallet this AM to find a "I Love You" note :)

  • I love this whole thread!!! One of my personal favorites:

I'm thankful to have only 5 (!) days left of school for the year!! Senior graduation was last night, and some department members went out for drinks afterwards. We didn't leave until after midnight, and I have to wake up before 6... I've been a zombie all day!

I'm thankful for my students, even on the bad days. One of the English teachers at my school assigned an essay project for students to write about their favorite teacher. 3 of my students wrote theirs about me, and the English teacher left them for me in my mailbox. I cried reading them!

I'm thankful for BF and can't wait to spend the summer with him!! We have several trips planned, and have a lot to look forward to!
