Re: NWR: Front Facing Car Seat Rage - LOL I FAILED

  • I'm flabbergasted that you only wish to take it down if it is a TOS violation.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Yeah - this isn't your baby or your kid and you really shouldn't have posted the picture.
  • Yea, the first thing I thought when I saw this was "Whoa... she posted a pic of someone else's baby on TK?" Not cool. Whenever I take pics of or with someone else's infant, I always ask the parents if it is okay to post on FB. It's just common courtesy.

  • Duh guys, it's only a TOS violation if you post personal info of others without their consent if they're a member of TK. Otherwise it's totes okay.

  • PPs got it covered but dude, you seriously need to take down that picture. I know a lot of moms that do NOT want pictures of their kid on the internet without their permission. I know she posted on her FB wall but that doesn't give you permission to post it out on the rest of the world wide web.

Is it a TOS violation? Then the mods can warn me and pull it down.
WTF?! Remove it. It wasn't your photo to share, TOS or not.

My husband wants to know why you were so concerned for this child's safety with the car seat that you called the mom out but that you're apparently not concerned about her safety in posting her picture on the interwebz.
    All of this.

I can't even believe @loveislouder won't take the picture down. You are a bad person if you don't realize YOU DON'T PUT PICTURES OF CHILDREN WHO ARE NOT YOURS ON THE INTERNET.  What is wrong with you?

this is also a prime example of why privacy settings are so important.
Well, privacy settings don't protect you from your FB friends posting your pics elsewhere online, though. ><

  • So why is the fucking picture still in this thread?

Either @loveislouder please redact it, or can we get a mod to use her righteous mod powers and redact it already.

You guys know how a Google image search works, right?  If someone really wanted to be an asshole, they could use that pic in a Google image search to try and get at that person's FB and other personal info.

    Plusalso, pedophiles.

Need I say more before some one removes the fucking pic already?!

WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

(Seriously, take the picture down. That's some mega douche bullshit right there.)

It's not coming up in google image search, so the OP's friend probably has good privacy settings, or she took it down.

See, @loveislouder.  The interwebz is full of crazy fucking stalkers.

    For shame, husky! :-P

  • So was the concern about the safety of the child or being right?

Being right, and making a thread on TK so all the cool kids know how cool you are.

    How'd that work?

  • From my break time look at picture - it was a convertible seat used rear facing, and positioning looked decent enough. I didn't look that closely however, and thankfully the picture is now gone.

I love seeing infants in properly fitted convertible seats. There's a better chance they'll stay rear facing longer vs a bucket seat. I refuse to count how many well under 2 yo I've seen flipped forward or in a dang booster. Any kids here are rear facing to Swedish standards. 5 seems reasonable.
  • This is why new parents get frustrated. This woman is basically a stranger to you, you obviously don't know what you're talking about, you are in fact wrong, and you still feel totes justified in meddling publicly in her life and telling her she doesn't know how to care for her child.

    NOPE.
  • Well this thread is a good reminder to defriend everyone I am not really friends with before I have children because who knows who might take a picture of my child and put it somewhere else on the internet.
