Embarrassing moments

Re: Embarrassing moments

  • A couple weeks ago I was on my way home from vacation. I've never been air sick, car sick, or anything before. I started feeling quesy and started looking for an air sick bag. There were none. No FA around either. So I turned to the person next to me, apologized, quickly put my head between my legs and puked. On my way off the plane I informed the FA that there was a mess near that row. She accused me of not using a bag. I told her that there were no bags and she started yelling at me as I walked away.

I would have asked for cleaning supplies and cleaned it myself. That's gross you left it for someone else's problem.

I would have, except for the fact that I was about to barf again and was trying to hurry to a restroom.
  • DH  got food poisoning on our way back from Vegas last time.  He chucked right before we boarded and they split us up seat wise.  He ended up mid plane, middle seat.  As we were taxiing onto the runway, he felt he was going to chuck again but the flight attendants told him he couldn't get up.  He used the barf bag but it then broke all over his lap.  They and to come find me and it's a good thing we were carry on only cos he had spare clothing in his carry on.  I felt so bad for him.  He finally agreed to switch seats with me (I was further back but on an aisle).

  • All of these air sick stories make me think I should carry some kind of bag with me in my carry on...  I've never been motion sick, but I'd hate to barf on a plane w/o a proper place to do it.

And yeah; I just flew last week- no barf bags on either flight.

  • I hate flying because I get sick too. I've mostly worked out the cocktail of Xanax and Dramamine but things are dangerous.

I always buy a Sprite before getting on a plane- the bubbles soothe my stomach and I get in a bag in case I need to puke. It's boring but works.
