Ugh, I'm getting so bogged down by this venue situation. Everything is just so costly now that we slashed our budget in half for the house. I really want an indoor ceremony and indoor reception but everything in my price range is outdoor ceremonies . .. I don't know are you guys having an outdoor ceremony? It doesn't seem brown enough for me haha. Also wheather is another issue.

 We are having a traditional american ceremony and indian/sri lankan reception.

    I'd love an outdoor ceremony. I don't think it's un-desi...I think you can make it work. Weather is my only worry, though, apart from heat...depending on the season.

    Ya outdoor ceremonies can be BEAUTIFUL!
    I'm sure the venue can give you a back up plan....like even if there is a roofed patio or tent....

    Outdoor ceremonies are beautiful! My parents were married outside, in India, so it's totally desi!

    I would be worried about weather/heat like Sonali said, but Bhanu has a good point about the venue being able to provide you with a backup plan. It's a good question to ask, I am sure they are used to it!
