Wedding Woes

Re: So...the anti-Ashley Madison?

  • Eh I get it. Some people want to be in an open relationship. As long as everyone is a consenting adult, everyone is 100% truthful and lines are discussed and followed beforehand to each their own. Do I think it would work for me? Nope. Do I think it works for a lot of people? Also, nope.

  • This is just non-monogamy. Which works for a whole lot of people, actually; they just don't tell anyone because then people jump down their throats and get all weirdly puritanical.

"Ethical cheating" is a weird-ass way to put it, though.

That was my thought.  Open relationship =/= cheating, in my book.

  • I have 3 poly "units" I guess I should call them since they aren't traditional couples, that I am friends with.  They make it work.  Having watched them, I think the problem is that people think they're poly or okay with an open relationship and they totally are for themselves....not the other person.  That is not being poly or allowing each person to sleep with whoever they want w/in specified boundaries.
