What's up?

DefConn is going to explode if I don't get to the store and buy a hitch for our bike trailer.  He wants me to take him on a ride so badly.   

I took a 25 min ride on my lunch break yesterday.  The neighborhood behind us is very quiet during the day.  I saw less than 5 cars on the street while riding yesterday. 

I have an office day tomorrow for training.  I can't wait to see some peeps.

    6let is dying to go to the pool "one last time" before school starts.  It's only going to be 75 at noon, but we'll be there.

    Last night was open house, we spent more time waiting in line for slushies than in his class room. 

    M2 has to be growing.  Last night she had a huge dinner- chicken, rice, peas.  Then asked for cheese, a banana and graham crackers.  She ate more than her brothers combined.

    Good morning.  We got home yesterday from an overnight at an indoor waterpark.  The kids had a blast.  Hopefully that's the last hotel stay we have for a very long time.  I'm over it.

    Today I'm getting my house back in order after the birthday party we had on Saturday.

    I had to get my car inspected this month, so I'm sitting in the dealership this morning. So far, one of old guys has made at least 7 racist remarks in the past ~15 minutes. He was talking to a second old guy, and now a 3rd one has joined in. Apparently he doesn't like Jewish people, Muslims, anyone who is not white, China, Obama, and fracking (Although he doesn't know what it's called or the science behind it.)

    Old guy #2: Who is "Tracy Morgan"? I don't know who that is. 
    Old guy #3: "He's an actor. He was in some TV show. He got hit by a truck and now he has brain damage"
    Old guy #1: "is he one of those illegals?" (goes into some rant about border control)

    Old guy #2 is planning to vote for Trump. 
    Old guy #1 says he would be a better president than Obama, except he can't sit in front of a camera and lie, so he wouldn't make a good president. 
    Old guy #3 doesn't like Clinton, but thinks he'd be a good life insurance salesman.
    Old guy #2 wouldn't donate money to democrats so Hillary Clinton would attend his wedding.

    I have a conference call at noon today, which is throwing off my lunch plans, but I'll deal.

    DD is getting her quad helix out tomorrow, and she is so excited.  She asked if I could please, please, PLEASE pack some Laffy Taffy in her lunch tomorrow, "even though I know I usually don't get candy at lunch but it's a really special day for me."  She doesn't know that I have a sparkly gift bag of Laffy Taffy, Blow Pops, and Willy Wonka Randoms gummies hidden away.  I got them at lunch yesterday, along with a bag of Jolly Ranchers for my desk because I was running low.  I'm sure the cashier was thinking "How about some diabetic test strips to go with that?"

    SIL2 is due to have her baby any day now.  She looks adorable, but she is also short (5'1" or 5'2", I think?) so the baby has nowhere to go but out.  She looks like she has a beach ball under her shirt.  Waiting for some new baby goodness/cuteness.

    Meanwhile, SIL1 is tagging some dude left and right on FB.  I hope I'm wrong, and this isn't the beginning of the same old pattern with her, where she falls head over heels for some shithead, spends all her time with him, it ends badly, and then she goes into a tailspin.  I really, really hope that doesn't happen this time.  For her, and especially for her kids.

    My sister and SIL are both skinny and they have the cutest little baby bumps.   I have two months left before I get any new baby goodness in my life.  I cannot wait.

    Morning. Haven't been here in forever. I dropped DS off for his first day of school- no tears during drop off, although I had my cry on the drive home. Good thing I work from home! We get keys to our new house today, maybe tomorrow. There is some drama with it- but I think we're good. The last month has been a complete rollercoaster and I'm actually looking forward to moving this week and getting off the ride.

    Your pics of DS are ridiculously adorable.  He looked so excited. 

    Good luck with the house stuff.  I remember those feelings. The whole process is for the birds.
