  What would your parents say if you told them you were thinking of getting your future in-laws a lesser gif because they weren't as involved in the planning?
  
  Would your parents be proud of how petty this thought process is?
  
  And your fiance praises you for your selflessness and generosity with others and you can't even extend that to his own parents?!
