Fitness Check-In Week 2

How did we do ladies?  I decided to do the check-in on Mondays now because its easier to remember.  I saw @swazzle got some zumba in - great job!  I can't move today though...I did a strength class on Saturday and clearly I need to do more strength and less cardio because my body is not used to strength at all.

Last week:

Monday: 1 mile walk, cleaned the house for a few hours too

Tuesday: Spin for 45 minutes

Wednesday: Spin for 45 minutes, 5 mile walk

Thursday: 40 minutes eliptical, 1 mile walk

Friday: Zumba for 30 minutes, 5 mile walk

Saturday: Two "try it" classes...a 30 minute rhythm ride (spin on crack) and a 30 minute strength kettle bell class.  H wanted to go for a walk later that day too so I walked with him about 3 miles I think?

Sunday: Rest day.  I ended up walking to get my coffee that morning so that was a leisurely 1.5 mile walk.

Not sure if I'm going to do something today that is heavy.  I'm still sore from strength on Saturday.  I'll likely do a short walk.

    Can I include my plan/goal for this week too? 

    Monday: Total Tone class (60 minutes)
    Tuesday: 40 minutes on the elliptical 
    Wednesday: Core and More class (60 minutes) 
    Thursday: Rest day, I guess?
    Friday: 40 minutes on the elliptical
    Saturday: Yoga class (60 minutes)
    Sunday: Tennis or hike with H

    Tuesday: PiYo
    Wednesday: massage day!
    Thursday: Short PiYo
    Friday: Short run
    Saturday: Sick... no work out but got in 12,000 steps
    Sunday: Sick

    This week's plan
    Monday: Either a treadmill run or a long PiYo 
    Tuesday: Whatever I don't do on Monday
    Wednesday: rest
    Thursday: PiYo
    Friday: AM run
    Saturday: AM run and then maybe another work out (Baking class that evening, gotta burn some extra cals!)
    Sunday: Easy bedtime yoga

    Last week:
    Monday: 40ish minute upper body work out and then a 50 minute elliptical workout
    Tuesday: 50 minutes on the elliptical
    Wednesday: First training session with my BM/personal trainer. We worked out for about 80 minutes doing 4 circuits of full body work.
    Thursday: Rest
    Friday: Leg day! 30 minutes of leg workouts and then 30 minutes on the elliptical 
    Saturday: 50 minutes on the elliptical 
    Sunday: Rest

    This week's plan:
    Monday - Arms! 30 minutes of arms and then 30 minutes on the elliptical
    Tuesday - 50 minutes on the elliptical
    Wednesday - Second training session in the morning, and then in the evening I'll do 50 minutes on the elliptical
    Thursday - Rest
    Friday - Leg day
    Saturday - Arms or Cardio depending on how sore I am
    Sunday - Rest

    ETA: I'm purposely avoiding the scale... trying to take weekly measurements instead, though I forgot to measure this weekend. Oops!

    Saturday - Crossfit (I might run to Crossfit to make it a 2-workout kinda day).
    Sunday - rest

    That will put me at 15 workouts on 9/20. I've totally got this!

    Friday - Ran 2 miles - both around 11:30s
    Saturday - Ran 2 miles - both around 10:30s
    Sunday - Ran 2 miles - first at 11:00, second at 10:40

    This week -
    Monday - Taking a break today, might do a short easy walk this afternoon.
    Tuesday - Run 2 miles - my goal is to do as well as Saturday or better.
    Wednesday - Workout video with weights, one mile run around the neighborhood (hills)
    Thursday - Workout video with weights, one mile run around the neighborhood (hills)
    Friday - Run 2 miles
    Saturday - Run 2 miles
    Sunday - Break day



  • Great job everyone!  I missed yesterday entirely.  I'm bummed but it was a needed rest day.  I'll likely have to do a form of light cardio today too because I'm still recovering from strength on Saturday (which is crazy).  Here is my week roughly...

    Monday: Nada
    Tuesday: 30-40 minutes of cardio
    Wednesday: Spin and walk home 5 miles
    Thursday: Interval express maybe?  Yoga?
    Friday: Spin (or zumba) and walk home 5 miles
    Saturday: Spin and walk a few miles
    Sunday: Short walk
  • Everyone is doing AWESOME!! :) So great to see! I've done 9 workouts so far this month (each of them being a 2 mile run). Today will be my 10th, which puts me at 50% of goal on the halfway point of the month. I'm proud of that! My FMIL comes on Friday for 10 days, so hopefully that doesn't disrupt my running too much.

    Here is my plan for the week:

    Tuesday: run
    Wednesday: maybe a run
    Thursday: run
    Friday: nothing
    Saturday: nothing
    Sunday: run

    That will put me at 13 workouts for the month! WOO!
  • My friend and I did a 2 mile walk yesterday, but it was a slow easy walk so it probably doesn't count.

    I ran around the laser tag course A LOT. That may have worked off some of the calories from my Long Island Iced Tea....maybe.....
