  What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

  LOL no, the unwritten part is "Wow I am a complete moron and I'm glad these ladies saved me from doing something totally stupid". A lot of good points are made, and most everyone is able to convey their opinions respectfully. Not going ahead with planning and putting all stupidity on hold. Seriously, thank you guys for opening my eyes.

  Please do not be embarrassed! I started dating my now H very shortly after my divorce. We knew how we felt about each other, but chose to wait to marry for a few reasons. I'm SO glad we did!!! But, in the beginning, I admit I was so excited to start our lives together and was definitely trying to rush the wedding part.

  No matter how much someone wants a divorce, there is baggage that comes along with it. Both my H and I had some things to resolve emotionally, mostly from being scarred by things that happened during our first marriages. We weren't very self aware that we had these problems, but eventually it dawned on us. And then there is the whole kid thing. I wasn't exactly prepared to be a stepmom, even though I thought I'd be super amazing at it! We ended up getting engaged 4 years after my divorce was final (his was final well before we met) and we married 2 years after that.
