  • Sadness. I went to look up the review. It's down and "currently being verified" on wedding wire.

There's one on Thumbtack, but states that he edited it and only mentions the truck and the yelling.

  • Did the creators of south park see this post and get inspired for this weeks episode about yelp and "critics"?

That was, by far, one of the funniest episodes of South Park that I've ever watched.
  • To reaaaally dumb it down for you, freedom of speech means that I can say I think Obama is a piece of shit and not be thrown in jail for it. It does not mean there will be no consequences for anything you say.

Second, from your description, the only thing the planner did that stuck out to me as wrong is telling the photogs they couldn't eat- something that may have been misunderstood and is easily fixed by going up to the photogs and saying "hey, sorry about that, have some food". The other stuff it doesn't sound like you had specific requests for. Who really gives a crap what the champagne toast is in? If you do, it sounds like you should be pretty involved in the planning process rather than expecting the planner to read your mind.

I doubt that the planner has a case. Yelp and such is unfortunately just something the modern business owner has to deal with these days. I also doubt that this was all as awful and terrible as you're making it out to be.

    Yup I was Über disappointed.
  • I will say I am getting annoyed with all of the people suing people who leave bad reviews... I can see if your name calling but if people stick to facts (I know some do not) then suck it up buttercup and do better next time.
  • I feel like the obvious thing for OP to do here was express their concerns to the person who hired the DOC, and then that person should have gone to the DOC directly to let them know they weren't satisfied with the service. Giving the DOC a chance to respond without getting their back up by trashing them in public is common courtesy.

And if OP was still ticked they could have posted in a local board instead of warning everyone on an international message board not to hire this woman. This is dramatic.
