Re: It's Tuesday, chatters unite!

  • @alpacina - They're these: http://www.asicsamerica.com/Shop/Accessories/Running/Sony-Smart-B-Trainer/p/0010265471.0Y

They're headphones that also track heart rate, have GPS, and don't need to be near your phone to work -- you can upload music directly to the headset. For me, this is a huge plus because I'd rather just head out with my Fitbit and headphones. I'm not sure if I'll actually end up getting them, as there are mixed reviews on the actual fit...some people love it and say it's great with sweat resistance and not coming out, but others say the fit was a challenge. I'd want to test them out myself first!

  • @swazzle - Thank you for posting the link! I wasn't sure we were thinking of the same video, but that's because I forgot Tosh got tamed, haha. I love the humiliating shit he is willing to do on that show.

My all time favorite is when he played the slow motion video of the dog not able to catch its food, so he made slow motion videos of random foods being thrown at his staff. I laughed my ass off, and showed just about everyone that I saw that week!

    LINK if anyone's interested.

  • I've seen that dog video @AlPacina and love it!  He comes so close with the hot dog!
  • @AlPacina - Yessssssssssssss hahahaha that was such a good one. I love his whole staff so much. I tend to have to look away when he shows the really gross stuff (vomiting, bones sticking out of skin). Have you ever seen him live? Friends of mine love his show but did not like him IRL at all.

  • @alpacina - They are 4 and a half. Some days they don't touch anything, but they have started pulling stuff off counters to chew on. And they have also ripped up sheets and our comforter. We started using bitter apple spray this weekend... we'll see what the house looks like when we get home tonight.

    Still here and still fabulous!

  • @swazzle I love the new sig! I  did laugh out loud and now my coworkers realize I am not looking at something work related.....

  • @AlPacina I think Gus Gus was the only one with a known name, but you're correct ... he needs a hat. I may end up making him a tiny hat :')
FYI Love your Austin Powers collectible! I know "Spy Who Shagged Me" off by heart lol
  • @audrewuh - I don't blame you. He's not everyone's flavor. I enjoy the type of humor where as I'm laughing I'm simultaneously wondering if I'm going to hell for enjoying it.

@cu97tiger - Fingers crossed your house ends up in one piece! I can correlate the amount of my dog's destruction to the lack of exercise he's gotten in a given day.

@GoldenPenguin - I couldn't find a meme that says "You ain't no Weeble Wobble!" or I would have posted that instead, haha.

  • I actually agree with @audrewuh re: Tosh. I don't like his humor at all. And I faint veeerrrryyyy easily so watching his show isn't even an option anyway if there's a risk of seeing actual real life bloody injuries.
  • @cu97tiger have you considered crating them or gating them off to one safe area of the house? We have to do either of those things at my house or else we come home to destruction every day.
  • @AlPacina I love Tosh's stand up but his show, nahhhh! My fave stand up bit by him is old, the one where he's mocking award winners and he's saying how they know they'll win cuz they're up front. His bit is him winning and sitting way in the back lol
  • @GoldenPenguin I spend too much time staring at your gif. Mainly because it's so ....catchy? But also I'm trying to figure out who the grey-shirt-guy is!!
  • @alpacina - We walked them twice yesterday, so who knows... DH just emailed me that our dog walker said they got into a couple things already. I know one was my fault (I think I left the bread bin open and it's at their face level), the other, no idea how they got it.

@untouchablets - We used to crate them, but we hated having them in there for so many hours a day. We've talked about gating off the upstairs, but DH is convinced if we do that, they will destroy our couches and chairs downstairs. For now, it's little things, so it's more annoying than anything else.

  • @cu97tiger - I might have missed this before but do you have smart toys for them to play with?  It sounds like they are clever little buggers and smart toys may help.  Raj went through a destructive phase as a puppy but stopped once he hit 8 months or so (other than paper towel...he loves tearing paper towel up...not eating it, just tearing it into teeny tiny pieces?) so I'm not much help here.
  • @helloliv - Do you work near South Station? I'm assuming that's the station you got drunk at last night.... if so, I propose a meet up since I work at South Station! Also yes, it was Garcia Brogan's! Have you been?
  • Also agree with @audrewuh and @untouchablets re: Tosh. One morning I was getting ready for work and my BF at the time was watching the show. It was some guy chugging a bottle of tequila and vomiting everywhere and continuing to chug. It was so gross.
  • I guess I've only ever seen the funny Tosh stuff and not the gross? I'm dying at the Happiness gif @GoldenPenguin shared. Who isn't unhappy on a Waverunner?

The termite guy came by. It seems like the damage isn't TOO terrible...we could be talking less than $1000 in repairs, but H and I need to do some demo work on the drywall to reveal the full extent of the damage for a more accurate estimate. Ugh. I guess I did say I wanted to repaint the garage so here's our excuse!

Just kidding. I'm still haunted by "Butt Water". Essentially someone putting a hose up their butt, then running around shooting water at people while they chant "Butt water! Butt water!"

I still shiver just thinking about it.

I actually work right across from North Station! Too funny. We can definitely meet up sometime, though! I have been to Garcia Brogans...it's right down the street from me!! (The one closer to Boston, not the other one.)
