  • @keptinstitches - I'm sorry to hear that; I hope you are able to have more years with him!

  • @KeptInStitches Sending internet hugs to you and your kitty! It sounds like in spite of his cancer he is still doing ok and living a happy life. I hope you're able to enjoy lots of special one on one time with him while you can! <3

  • @keptinstitches I hope your kitty still has more time here with you and the appetite pills help.

    Anniversary

  • @keptinstitches - Sorry to hear about your kitty. Hugs and fingers crossed you get more time with him.
  • @beachyone15 and @labro, thank you. He really does have a good quality of life and is happy (doesn't seem to be in pain, either), which is most important.
  • @keptinstitches - I know how bitter sweet this time must be for you and your family with kitty.  All the hugs to you and I hope you get to spend quality time with kitty for a long time.
  • @wink0erin Vibes for your friend and her little bean! Pregnancy after a MC is really scary and stressful...I know that first trimester for my sister after her chemical pregnancy was just one giant ball of "Omg, I hope everything is ok!".

  • @wink0erin I'm glad the doctor thinks every is ok for kids! I hope your friend has a sticky take home baby.  Even just being back to TTC is nerve wrecking.

    Anniversary

  • @swazzle - Does home chef make all their recipes available? That chicken sounds incredible.

@lavenderfields13 - Feel better soon! And it's true that doing something is always better than doing nothing, although its definitely best if your heart rate is up when you're doing it!

@beachyone15 - Girl, vent away! I'd be flipping out too. I'm still sad we don't really have any furniture bought. My big house feels so empty and uninviting.

@KeptInStitches - I'm actually quite happy to hear that your cat doesn't seem to be in pain, all things considered. And I think it's somewhat of a blessing that you know that now is the time to give him as many snuggles and scratches as you can. I'm sorry that your family is going through this though. Sending hugs and love to you and your kitty.

@wink0erin - I'm so happy your doctor was able to give you that good news!

    @speakeasy14 - You have a fridge?!?!? Yaaay! I can't believe you're surviving so long without a kitchen!

    -----------------------------------

So I got to watch another Al Pacino movie last night, the Devil's Advocate. Not his best movie, but man I love that guy. Tonight, I'm hoping we'll watch Birdman. I've been dying to see it.

After work I went and made an appointment to get my hair colored next week. I'm so nervous! I haven't colored my hair since high school, and I've definitely never had it done professionally. I love my natural color so much, and I'm hoping I can keep it close, but the amount of grey hairs is really starting to get to me. :( Anyone ever seen anything awesome done with really dark brown hair? I'm thinking just some caramel highlights, or maybe some red tones? I just want it to look natural!

  • I am tardy to the party this morning! I'm going to post, then go back and respond to people.

Yesterday I made it to personal training and had an awesome workout. Our first strength interval was a contest to see how many times we could complete this series: 30 squats, 20 push-ups, 10 bicep curls. I was one of only 6 people and 3 women to complete 4 sets in the allotted 8 minutes! I was proud of myself.

After that I took a bath, had like a quarter of a glass of wine, and fell asleep in my bathrobe on my bed while deciding which pajamas to put on. Yup. I eventually woke up, ate some sweet potato quinoa turkey chili, watched an episode of Grey's Anatomy while I blogged, and fell asleep by 9:30. Am I the most fun ever, or what?

Today I'm kind of dragging despite getting over eight hours of sleep. Usually this means another infection is coming on, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's not and I don't lose time this week to the hospital. I especially don't want to be sick this weekend because it is my dad's 74th birthday, and I'm looking forward to celebrating with him.

I have a work lunch today, which should help the day go faster. If I'm feeling OK after I'm going to get in my workout and clean the house, which has been neglected. It LOOKS clean, but there are little kitty/puppy tumbleweeds around and it's driving me batty. Usually when I decide I want to vacuum it is what I would consider too late to do it in a condo -- I don't want to piss off my neighbors by making noise at like 10 PM.

OK, back in a few to respond to people!

  • @helloliv You definitely should be proud of that workout! Crossing my fingers for your for no infection.

  • @swazzle - I know I'm about to sound not at all like an adult woman right now, but........... How do I ask for the top one and not the bottom one? Should I just bring a picture? Or are there words for that? haha

  • @AlPacina Ask for balayage highlights! They look more natural.
    ******************************************************

  • @helloliv - They do! Here ya go: CLICK

  • @alpacina some red or auburn tones would look great with your hair!  Explain to the stylist that you want it cover up the greys, but keep it looking natural.

  • @peaseblossom55 that's unfortunate about the necklace, but I'm anxious to see it!

@beachyone15 Idk how you've been able to live in renos for that long. I couldn't, even if I tried!

    @KeptInStitches poor kitty :( *hugs*

@wink0erin it's good to know ahead of time and that you're doctor is aware also ... which reminds me I should probably ask next time i'm in. Wonderful to hear though :)! Good luck to your friend!

So I have actually only had a chance to get on TK now ...

Last night was just catching up on cleaning. I'd been seriously slacking. Picked up the partylite order at my mum's and used the room spray all over my apartment! Having cats and no real fan in the winter {baseboard heaters} makes my apartment smell and feel stuffy. So far so good.
Matt watched hockey and i watched Netflix. My plan was to start "Mad Men" but ended up watching "Secret Life of the American Teenager"

Since today is my tax theory exam, I woke up a bit early to do some review. I brought some calming tea with me to have during my exam.

Still have to figure out what I'm wearing for the company party. I've joked about my wedding dress and shoes, but I'm still debating on dress. Shoes for sure, but I feel it'll be too chilly in the hotel.

    Hmmm ....
  • @wink0erin - Vibes for your friend! And glad to hear you got good news from the dr.

@helloliv - Fingers crossed for no infection!

@alpacina - I am determined to do something interesting with my hair after my wedding and the picture @swazzle posted is exactly what I'm  hoping for (the balayage one, not the terrible zebra stripe one). Now I know what to ask for! Let's be hair twins!
  • edited November 2015
@helloliv Haha yeah I couldn't imagine it either and figured it would be way too easy. The videos I got are "advanced" level so it's more aerobic- goes in to jogging forward, backward, shifting weight while doing punches, bouncing around pretty much! I know there are more basic videos that involve no impact so I don't know how those really work??

  • @jenjen047 - We're technically partial hair twins (I mean, "lack of hair" twins) already, so let's keep this goin!!

  • @aurorarose41 I hope your foot gets better ASAP. Congrats on the weight loss! Personally I think that time frame for WR parties is perfectly fine and normal. I didn't have a shower and my bach was a few weeks before the wedding but everyone was local so it was easier.

  • @AuroraRose41 - I hope your foot heals soon! My BFF broke fractured some small bones in her foot a few years ago. She probably should have had surgery but hasn't. Hopefully you are able to heal without surgery though! I think that is a perfectly good date for a shower/bachelorette party.

  • @aurorarose41 - I think May makes sense! FWIW, my bachelorette was 3 months before my wedding and my shower is 2 months before. Those happened to be the dates that worked for the VIPs involved in each event.

@alpacina - YES. It took me a minute to understand what you were saying at first though haha
  • Sorry girls it's been a few days... Work keeps me busy, I'm in school again (see below) and I'm having a procedure on my leg and had part one today and it has to be done every 3 weeks for the next 2 months....I'm such a wimp I'm in pain and the locations itch.... Anyway I haven't been cooking much lately...mostly lean cuisines and healthier takeout but I'm wanting to cook I just get home from work late now.... I just enrolled and started school to be a doula and be certified. It's super fun and interesting. It's an online course but lots of assignments offline to complete plus 3 births. I'm excited for this adventure! Hope everyone is well. Congrats on all the new marriages happening lately! I can't keep up but I know there's a few!
