Congrats on your layoff! Lol Are your classes for agent/broker, or something else? If anything ever happened with my job, I think I would like to be an appraiser. I got my galaxy hair redone (so much better this time!), and our new fridge was delivered this morning!

So HOW CRAZY is this - two days after this post I was laid off from my job of over 8 years!  Not sure what I'm going to do now!
Well that's odd timing.... I guess you can be an appraiser now! How do you feel about the layoff?

Still kind of in shock I guess.  I never intended to have another job!  I went to start updating my resume and I hadn't touched it in so long that I have to change five years experience to TWELVE YEARS.  I wasn't one to look for greener pastures ;-)

Being an appraiser requires 200 credit hours, I found out, and there aren't even the starter courses offered this spring at my community college.

So far though I'm treating it like I treat break ups - their loss, they are assholes, and I will do better.

Talk to me in 3 months though - I have a verrrrrrrry narrow field!  My parents offered to pay for a career transition coach, so we will see...

    I'm sorry luckya23.   :(

Thank you!  Hopefully I can at least find something where I can work from home part time... that was honestly the only reason I kept this mind-numbing job.  I hear it's more common now than when I was hired almost 9 years ago!

  • Real estate classes are mind numbing! The instructor is a nice guy but not great at teaching, I could do better myself and I don't even know the material! I'm either going to drink myself silly or cry ever night.. I'm going with alcohol! Hopefully I can just make it through and pass the national exam!

  • I graduated Nursing School today!!!! :) I will begin my new career as an Ortho/Trauma nurse in January! And, after I pass State Boards we will begin wedding planning!!
  • My kids won their competition today!!  We have 3 teams at my school, 1 Jr, and 2 elementary.  I coach one of the elementary, and I took the 11 kids who were going to be cut from the main elementary team.  We've practiced for about 10 weeks, about 1 hour per week.  The other team practices 3 hours per week.  And we both ran clean routines.  I'm so proud of my kids on how well they did today!!
