@TwoDimes NOPE! I definitely just googled DeSoto Falls and grabbed the first pretty looking photo I saw. We've only been out there in the winter time and it definitely seems to be more gorgeous in the spring and summer. We might try some camping out there this year and maybe we can take nice photos then. They have first come first serve spots for $6 a night (it's pretty primitive).

@speakeasy14 thanks! I felt SO MUCH BETTER once the decision was made to go a different way. The sick feeling just disappeared.

@southernpeach89 - Hugs to you. I do not envy what you are going through right now. I'll have to go back to work after three months or so after this baby is born (6 weeks of which will be paid only...at 70% pay too...maternity leave in the U.S. sucks). I imagine I'll be doing a lot of crying when that time comes. I'm sorry you have to go through this.

@swazzle - Yikes! I hope your car is ok and it isn't an expensive fix.

@Peaseblossom55 - Lazy weekends are a great thing. ALL the things crossed for IVF, lady.

@cocobellaf - Brunch sounds delicious right about now. I'm sorry you are still feeling sick. Are you able to keep anything down around dinner time at all? Is your doctor giving you anything?

@labro - WTF. What do you mean your CC isn't going to report the fraud?!? Are they canceling the charge at least? I would be talking to the company about switching cards if they weren't canceling the charge. I've filed a police report before for a stolen card but it got no where sadly...even though I knew the taxi driver that did it. Hugs.

Today is not off to a great start. Rajah ran away this morning. Our gate was open when H let him out this morning and H didn't know. I HATE doing construction in our house because the gate is sometimes accidentally left open. Thankfully Raj didn't make it too far before he was distracted by another dog but we didn't know he was loose for 10 minutes (H went to check on him THANK GOD because he wasn't barking and he usually does) AND he didn't have his collar on because it was tied into his cone of shame he just got to take off recently. I ran one way (the busy street) screaming for him while H ran the other way (the quiet street) screaming for him. Thankfully Raj went down the quiet street. We always think we are so diligent (and we are 99% of the time) but it just reminded us to be even more diligent with construction going on. Thank God Raj is fine. H found him trying to play with the other lady with her dog he ran into.

This weekend was otherwise very eventful. We finished demo on both bathrooms this weekend. A dumpster was supposed to be dropped off in the A.M. on Saturday and the bastards didn't show up. I'm reporting them to the BBB because we had 5 guys ready to go and help. I ended up finding another company that pulled a favor for me and got another dumpster to us that day thankfully. We really got lucky or the whole weekend would have been shot with the demo.

I also completely organized our basement...it was fully of boxes and junk from our move a year or so ago. I got rid of half the stuff since we didn't need it and had the dumpster. I also completely cleaned out what will be the baby's room so that was a great feeling.

I have a lot of work today...grrr...but I'm just really grateful Raj is ok and for all the stuff we got done this weekend.

@speakeasy14 @minskat30 OH they definitely credited us for the $500!!! And I should be getting a card with a new number in the mail this week. But H was pretty pissed off that they weren't going to report the fraud and basically take a $1000 loss (between the charge and our credit) because he didn't want the person to keep getting away with their crime!! Plus $500 is I think felon level fraud. I'm sure the police report won't go far either...but H is on some sort of rampage over this whole thing.

@minskat30 I'm so glad you found Raj quickly this morning!! That is so scary!

@minskat30 I'm glad raj is okay! The other night I let my roommate's dogs outside not realizing the mailman left the gate open. They must have had a great time because a few minutes later I went to let them in and they came running back through the gate excitedly lol

@CocoBellaF are you able to keep anything down? My best friend had the same issue with both of her pregnancies. She was hospitalized a few times until she could keep food down, and I'd hate to see anyone go through that. She pretty much found what she could keep down and ate only that. Even if it isn't the healthiest thing, if you can keep it down, that's all that matters.

@untouchablets - Raj is a wanderer like most Great Pyrs. Take him to a dog park (even if its acres of land) and he'll find the perimeter and patrol it for "outs". We know that which is why his collar is never ususally off...today it was and man did I learn my lesson. I'm so pissed at myself because I saw it on the cone yesterday when I was cleaning everything but then I got distracted by another Home Depot run we had to make before I had a chance to put it back on him.

@swazzle - We take Raj for walks along the quiet street only in order to make it a habit. Our hope is that he turns in the direction he is used to turning. Thankfully it has worked for the most part.

@labro - I'm glad you aren't paying for it at least! I get so mad when people try to steal like that...I'm like your H and on the war path when that happens. The cc scheme I fell for was actually quite clever. The taxi driver disabled the machine in the back of the cab, said it wasn't working, would take your card to process it in the front where he had a stash of expired credit/debit cards. He would replace your card with the exact same card/style (other than the name and card number obviously) and never charge the ride but then take your card and go on a spending spree. I was on a first date at the time so I didn't end up paying for it and didn't figure it out till I got home and my card wouldn't work in the taxi on the way home. I got it reversed, called the cops with the taxi driver's info, found the girl (thanks Google) whose expired card I had to tell her this guy had her card and she told me she reported the guy to the cops too because he pulled the same stunt on her. The guy got caught about a year later and a major Chicago newspaper did a story on it.

@jenna8984 - I full on panicked when I realized Raj didn't have his collar on frankly. H didn't know Raj didn't have the collar (I was out the door running before I remembered), otherwise he would have panicked too. Raj is hard to miss thankfully so cars are less likely to hit him and we would be likely to spot him but it scared the crap out of us.

@minskat30 I honestly think this waitress has probably been doing this scheme for awhile too....but probably with smaller charges to see if people investigate them or pursue them before trying a large charge. The only thing I can think happened is that when she took my card for payment, she wrote down all the relevant details and kept those to make a purchase online (for in store pick up of all things!!!....Wal Mart was willing to give us a ton of details). That cc scheme of the taxi driver's IS clever and I'm glad he got caught eventually.

I would just normally not be so suspicious of this person....but she was acting SO bizarre around us the entire time and the fact that the pick up of the product is occurring in an area pretty close to the restaurant...or at least close enough that the waitress reasonably lives in that area.

@labro That's nuts!! I hope they bring up charges on her. If they don't persue it, then I'm sure she will continue to do things like this knowing she can get away with it!

ETA: I hit post too quickly. @minskat30 I'm glad you got Raj back quickly and safely. I get so nervous that something like that could happen with Tess. I check the gate constantly! Glad he's okay!

@untouchablets - Ahhh!!! Yay! I love poodles! I was so bummed when my BF decided he didn't want one of my cousin's puppies because his brother started yelling out "Hey everybody! T's getting a poodle!" like a fucking asshole when we told him. They were the parti ones, with spots. I wanted it so bad. Congratulations! I can't wait until you bring her home!

@swazzle - Did you get all caught up on OITNB? By the end of the latest season I was just wishing that Piper and Alex could leave the show and they could make someone else the main character, haha. Also, I had major puddles on my passenger side once too. It was a hole in something under the car, I guess. It was fucking annoying!

@caseface5 - I love your couch! It DOES look comfy! I need to get ours ordered. I keep forgetting!

@TwoDimes - Packers! Ah!!!! YESSSSS......... Again, I apologize for my boyfriend.

@southernpeach89 - Haha! My first job ever was as my church's nursery attendant. If a baby was incessantly crying I just kept walking around and bounching them, telling myself "It will all be over soon. It's just an hour. It will all be over soon." I tried to only call someone back if their kid hurt themselves, but it was tough, lol!

@speakeasy14 - Nothing pisses me off more than figuring out the mystery before it's revealed. I'm pretty sure I had Sharp Objects figured out really early, but at least she threw in enough stuff with other suspects that I could never be 100% certain.

My weekend was spent doing absolutely nothing productive, but I did do the following:

- Finished Making a Murderer

- Watched "We Need To Talk About Kevin" (and it seriously made me question whether I'm willing to have children)

- Read half of my book, and forced myself to stop because I don't want it to be over so soon!

- Got my favorite fried chicken from the local grocery store

- Cross stitched a bunch, and played some rock band

But today I'm just feeling this:

Because I loved David Bowie!

I had this dream that he was going to go on tour one last time, and I would pay whatever the cost to be able to see him live. His latest album came out, and I thought it was going to happen! I guess I'll just be grateful for everything he's left behind...... because it's kickass.

@labro - That just sucks...I hate feeling like your trust in people is shot (and I feel like it temporarily is) when crap like that happens. Really ballsy of her to do an in-store pickup order too. I hope they catch her and arrest her.

Also I'm really, really, really thankful for snow today too. Part of the reason H and I found Raj so quickly is the fact that we could track him. His paws are huge so even through the neighborhood has tons of dogs we know his paw prints. I'm a very very happy dog owner right now.

I forgot to add...I have a question. Question - What dog tags do those of you with dogs use? We use the petsmart/petco ones but they wear down eventually. I was looking at Raj's collar today and the inscription is still visable but it isn't great. Any longer wear ones you gals know of??

Weekend was okay.
Saturday went to the mall to try and get another bikini top but either the prices were stupid or they didn't have one I liked. V.S had some I liked and I wanted to try on, but mine didn't have any swim stuff. I guess that's just as fine.

@AlPacina - I think I have 4 episodes left of season 3. I've been wondering if it's something under the car because nothing else has been wet at all. OMG I read that book and I was so fucking disturbed by it for weeks. I didn't know it was a movie.

@minskat30 - Lucy's is from Petco/Petsmart too. She honestly only wears her collar if we're on a walk, at the dog park, or we take her to someone's house. She is a lazy dog and only ever goes in the yard to do her business unless we're out there with her. ETA: Meant to say that I'm no help whatsoever.

@minskat30 & @speakeasy14 - I try to eat most of my calories by 1:00 or so. Anything after then is kind of hit and miss. Some days I can eat a little at dinner and keep it down, some days I don't keep anything in the evening down at all, and some days I can't bring myself to eat anything except a piece of toast in the evenings. I've lost a couple pounds over the last week or so, but I'm hopefully I can gain it back this week. Last week was rough.

@minskat30 - We bought dog name tags off of Amazon (because they were cute) but before then, we always used PetSmart tags, too.
