@swazzle - The movie just got added to Netflix. They cast the kid pretty well. He scared the shit out of me. I had heard of the book but hadn't gotten around to reading it. I kind of want to now just because I'm sure there were a lot of private thoughts that the movie wasn't able to express. It really did lead to a pretty deep conversation between my BF and I about the risks that come with having a child, and whether we're willing to take them.

@cocobeallf - That makes sense (eating calories during the day before you know you won't feel well in the evening). Hopefully you can gain back what you've lost recently. Hugs. If it makes you feel any better, I am gaining rapidly now. I lost at first and then gained slowly but I'm up 8.5lb and am 19 weeks this week, which is right about on track for my size (I was on the high end of "normal" before pregnancy). I gained 2.5 of those pounds this week alone. Your body is an amazing thing...it will do what it needs to do to help the baby along. Just stay hydrated at night.

So I've been super-busy trying to do course prep and I need to get the registrar to give me the access in Blackboard and some other sites I need because I don't have it. Yet. Again. Thank you so much, past me, for shifting from a student to instructor role.

I feel really overwhelmed. I hope I'm good enough to teach. I don't want to screw up students - that would suck!

I'll be working late tonight - I have a proposal to review and more course prep to do.

Oh, and the car had a flat tire that we blew out trying to limp it up to the gas station this morning, so we get to do front tires today (front and back tires are different sizes) and a flatbed tow. Fun.

On the plus side, I left H a list of projects to do during the spring semester while I'm working insane hours grading. Depending on what he gets to, I'll have new paint upstairs, a new kitchen countertop, a remodeled main bathroom, built-in bookshelves in the library, kitchen drawers that actually open and close, general updating in the jack and jill bathroom, replaced pipe in the basement, repaired gutters, a wall in the basement for the family room, new crawl space doors for the sump pumps, new plants on the south side of the house, refreshed rock beds, and a rewired garage. This seems cruel, but it will be much more pleasant for him to do the remodeling while I'm not around bitching about how long it's taking and how much of a mess he's making.

@AlPacina - I read it because @Hummingbird125 basically said I had to because she needed to talk to someone about it LOL I read it when I was away on vacation and was basically just like what the actual fuck through the entire thing. I just went back and looked and apparently I gave it 2 stars on GR because I was so disturbed. Although maybe that was the point?

@jenna8984 - Sounds like you know exactly where you need to start then!

It's about a girl who gets her baby brother kidnapped by goblins, then goes to a magical land to try and rescue him. But she has to get through a labyrinth to find him, and meets a bunch of characters that are Jim Henson puppets. And there is music, and silliness, and it's just a fun fantasy story.

Book 3 of a series called "Ensnared" - from the Splintered Series. Alice in Wonderland idea and makes lots of references to Lewis Carroll original. I still say this is the story Tim Burton should have done!

Honestly yes, pretty much everyone lately.

Only thing I can think of is making a dr appointment to go back on meds. Idk what it will take because I know it's important.

What's a good movie or show you've watched recently? I watched Friends with Benefits all weekend, because that is exactly bf and my relationship (or at least how it was at first). New movie wise, Interstellar.

What's the book that you're currently reading about? Off the Page... this girl falls in love with a story book character and brings him to life. I'm not a fan.

Is there someone in your life that you're currently having a strained relationship with? Probably, after I turned 25 I got rid of a lot of toxic people. I don't really interact with many people because of it.

What's something you know you need to get done, but are having trouble getting motivated to do? What do you think it will take for you to do it? Stupid business reviews for work. I have a bunch that needs to be done in the next two-three weeks, but they are so time consuming that I barely can get one done a day. Motivation = when the sales guys ask where their presentations are.

Also, finish the house. It's a ton of little things and by the time I get home from work I just do not have the energy. Apparently my bf feels the same since he hasn't done anything on his list either.

BF and I have been watching Maron.... It's really freaking funny, in a depressed middle aged man sort of way.

When the main character dies, he's not only born again into his exact same life, but he gets to keep the memories from his previous life. So it's Groundhog's Day, but life-long.

My BF, I guess. I don't know that I'd say strained, but it hasn't really been the same lately.

What's something you know you need to get done, but are having trouble getting motivated to do? What do you think it will take for you to do it?

Get rid of the ugliest wallpaper in my house. I think it will take my BF offering to help when I talk about it, haha. I'll do it myself, but I don't typically find the motivation for house stuff until we're both being productive together.

My best friend. We are very competitive and in the same career, and we have major differences in opinion on not only ethics but technique. So its been hard to talk to her lately.

Nothing that I can think of. I crossed off all of my to-dos in the last few weeks.

I am really liking Making a Murderer. We also started Idol back up, we love that show.

I am not currently reading. I am still trying to get into a routine now that I am home every night and not at cheer, so once I get a few other things done that I want to do I will pick a series back up.

Is there someone in your life that you're currently having a strained relationship with?

If you had asked me this at this time on Friday I would tell you BF. However we had a good talk on Friday night and I think he gets why I am feeling the way I am and I am hoping things are going to change in the near future.

What's something you know you need to get done, but are having trouble getting motivated to do? What do you think it will take for you to do it?

Well getting back on the weight loss train is huge. I really need to stick to it and I am hoping that this is the time that I do it!

I don't, however I am obsessed with Selena Gomez' new song "Hands to Myself" and now that I have typed it, it's there lol.

What's a good movie or show you've watched recently? None really. I want to go see The Revenant though.

@AlPacina I guess they are kind of time travel/historical with some romance. The premise is a woman in the 1940s steps into a stone circle in Scotland and gets transported back 200 years and gets stuck there. I like some books more than others....I think the 6th is actually my least favorite and I'm about to give up on it (I'm re-reading it) in favor of a new book.
