Other 2016 Brides?

Hi Guys,
I'm new to The Knot, I hope this post is allowed in this category... I'm getting married October 1, 2016. Hoping I can find some other 2016 brides to become friends with? I am the first of my friends to get married and sometimes find it hard not having somebody to ask questions to, or somebody to relate to. If you could link your instagram accounts below I would love to follow you girls.. Just need some girls to talk weddings with :)

    I'm a 2016 bride, getting married in May. I don't post anything about my wedding on my instagram (do other people?) and I don't feel comfortable linking my IG to a public website, either. Sorry about that! 

    If you go here: http://forums.theknot.com/community and click on the drop-down for "Wedding Club Boards," you can find other October 2016 brides to hang out with! 

    But really, TK is a mix of former and current brides and we have lots of interesting discussions about weddings, so you don't really need to go to a date-specific board. Just hang out with us! :)

    Welcome!  I'm a December 2016 bride!  

    I recommend reading around the boards for a bit, we call it lurking.  A lot of the first questions I had, had already been asked and answered so I learned a ton that way.  It also gave me a good feel for the boards and other Knotties.  This place is great because the posters here will give you their honest opinions, whereas your friends and family probably won't so they don't hurt your feelings, especially if you're the first in the group.

    Hang around here and you'll likely host the wedding that sets the bar for the rest of your crew when it's their turn.

    Welcome! I'm also getting married in October 2016, but on the 15th! I also support lurking; it can save you a lot of headache (heartache, even). I hang around on the October 2016 Club board as well if you're ever over there. Happy planning!

    Thanks girls. My only concern was I don't come on this site much. Im mostly on my mobile device.. Sometimes makes it easier contacting other girls with an app instead of logging into the system.

    Hi, October 2016 bride here too!

    I use mobile site, its perfectly fine. If you aren't able to see threads or something how are you going to ask questions etc? Sorry, bit confused. I don't have instagram but we're all here on the knot....so follow us on here, I guess?

    No i'm not a vendor?? I'm a lonely bride LOL! Sorry to offend anybody... I just don't quite understand how to get around on the forum yet. Like I said I am new, and as much as I would like to communicate with you I'm not sure how to find different posts and visit your profiles. I have had my profile on the knot for over a year and I finally just found these posts. 

    I have found some brides through the hashtag #2016brides on instagram and its fun to meet other girls who are going through the same stressful times as me. Again sorry to offend, I just wanted to communicate with other brides the way that I currently know how. I am not trying to spam your instagam pages I am genuinely looking to meet some other girls.

    I go on the main boards on the mobile website. http://forums.theknot.com/categories/wedding-boards

    If you are able to use an app on your phone this website should be straightforward.

    This is where you can meet and chat with other brides to be (2016 and beyond), but also a whole host of others single, not yet engaged, newly weds, not so newly weds - its good because you have a real mix of experience so feedback and advice is on point.

    I don't actually frequent the October 2016 board specifically so one of the other ladies might be able to give you the link to that.
