Good morning all you mean NEYers!

My HC box was delivered late last night so H and I went out for Mexican for dinner which was sooooo good! We shared pastelitos and I had chimichurri skirt steak along with 2 margs. I watched PLL and texted @GoldenPenguin and then went to bed.

Today I have to leave work early to meet H at his doctor's for his pre-surgery appointment and then I have a Devils game.

My stepdad has been in the hospital and I was hoping to go down to see him and my mom this weekend but my mom doesn't want me driving down there and back with this storm that's coming. I'm going to continue checking the forecast and make a decision later today or tomorrow. I think right now my house is on the cusp of 6-12" and 12-16" and my mom's house is less than that but it'll start earlier there and end later at home so there are a lot of factors to take into consideration. I also drive a VW Eos which is shit in bad weather so there's also that.

And I really want pizza.

@Swazzle Mexican food sounds so good right now. Good luck with your H's pre-surgery appt and I hope you get to go see your stepdad this weekend and that the weather holds out for you.

Well the weather didn't get too bad yesterday. It was sleeting for a while but nothing stuck. I was able to get my windshield repaired thankfully so I won't have to worry about that getting worse.

I picked up Callie early from her nanny just in case the weather got bad so I got to snuggle and play with her all afternoon.

Today I need to go get her more pants because she is getting really long and all her pants for capris lol. I'll probably get lunch with my mom and then head home.

Hopefully I'll get some CrossFit in tonight and then we are having our last freezer meal for dinner that I made pre-Callie. It's yummy lasagna! NOMS!

I hate when the HC boxes are late! Our dinner got messed up last night, too. We were supposed to have lasagna, but when DH put it in the oven, it started smoking. Apparently when I made Tuesday night's dinner (salmon), some of the oil/juice ran off the pan and down into the oven. So I had to pick up Chick-fil-a (poor us, right?) and we'll have the lasagna tonight.

For the first 90 minutes this morning, I thought it was Friday. Boo on that. Nothing scheduled for tonight other than to pull out the stuff we might need for the storm... shovels, ski pants, flashlights, etc. We're also checking our smoke detectors after a horrific fire in Richmond (near my family) killed five members of the same family... two grandparents, twins, and an aunt I think. HORRIBLE.

Starting at 5p tomorrow we're expecting 18-24"+ of snow. We're right smack in the middle of the worst part of it, so it will be a nice weekend of sitting in front of the fire, drinking wine, and shoveling. I can't wait to watch F+F play in the snow again!

@swazzle - I'm with your mom. Don't travel if you don't have to!

@Swazzle Pizza sounds fantastic right about now!!

Last night was much of the same, Zumba, dinner and then Idol. I had my weigh in this morning and am down .7 pounds. I was a little bummed but it's 4 pounds total in 3 weeks so thats pretty damn good. I have to remind myself that it's slow and steady. I just want to be under a certain weight before Chicago and I have some time to do it so here we go!

I also reached out to our cheer coordinator last night to try to get some clinics set up so I could get the girls into the gym and make sure they are stretching and staying in shape. She asked the head of the whole program and she said we are not allowed to do that. Coaches aren't able to be involved in anyway. I am fucking pissed about it! I want to be able to get them in and stretched once a month, why wouldn't they allow that?! So now to try to figure out a way around it..

I'm having a really, really rough week with being sick. When will this end?!?

Let's see, it's Thursday... my long day. I'll work until 3:30 or 4:00 and then I teach from 5:00-7:00. Then I will probably take a bath and go to bed!

@cu97tiger Aww you will definitely have to post pictures of F+F in the snow! Maddux loved it when we got a little last year.

@caseface5 That seems strange you (the coach) wouldn't be allowed to schedule gym time for your girls. Is it the coordinator that schedules?

@southernpeach89 It's a weird Pop Warner rule. You can meet with the team if you sign up to be what they call "year round" cheer. We call it "spring" cheer. The board in my town doesn't like setting them up so they said we couldn't do it anymore. They fucking suck! They said it was too much work.. but they don't have to do any work the coach and coordinator do so why they said no is dumb. I am going to reach out to the High School Coach and see if I can get something with her together. I need to find a way around it! I think the reason they say no is so that teams don't get a leg up over other teams if they start earlier than August 1st. (Sorry if this is rambly)

@caseface5 Good job on the weight loss! I know how tough it feels when it's such a small change in just a week, but 4 lbs in 3 weeks is still really awesome! You're right about slow and steady....it'll happen and the weight will stay off!

@southernpeach89 I'm crashing your shopping party! I need to pick up some warm weather gear for our 5k on Sunday. The weatherman says it'll be in the 20s that morning!

Like my sister said, our snow "storm" yesterday was basically someone crying wolf. I found a really funny meme last night and I can't stop laughing at it.

We aren't getting any snow tomorrow. It's just supposed to rain rain rain rain....but it's possible that late Friday night the rain WILL turn into snow so I hope on Saturday we wake up to a beautiful blanket of white.

Last night I made Swedish meatballs with egg noodles- my first time ever making homemade meatballs, my first time ever making a sauce with a roux. I know that probably sounds crazy but it's true lol. Anyways, it came out freaking amazing and H couldn't stop raving about it.

@swazzle maybe you have mentioned it before and I missed it, what's his surgery for? hope it goes well!

@cu97tiger oh chik-fil-a you poor, poor thing! hope you got Polynesian sauce!

@caseface5 great job keeping up with zumba!

@jenna8984 - Your dinner sounds amazing! He has a cyst on the outside of his foot that's really painful and he's having removed. The surgery isn't until Feb 3 and I'm staying home with him for a bit while he heals up

@jenna8984 Swedish meatballs are like my ultimate comfort food. I used to love it when my mom made them! H makes fun of my "rouxs" because I do quick 5 minute ones. He seems to think the only real roux is one that's dark dark brown and that you've worked on for an hour! I say pshaw to that!

Morning! I got a new computer at work so I'm still figuring it out. Is it sad that the first thing I did after opening outlook and dealing with a funding this morning is make sure my login for this site worked?

@swazzle - Good luck to your H with his pre-surgery appointment! Also, stay safe in this weather you guys are going to get.

@southernpeach89 - How tall is Callie? What percentile height was she when born (and how tall are you guys)? I'm curious where our kiddo will end up. H is 6'3" and I'm 5'4" (and a 1/2...that 1/2 is important) but kiddo already has long legs according to the ultrasound tech.

@jeann8984 - Ummm, yum. Swedish meatballs and egg noodles sounds delicious.

@labro - What is your plan for the 5k (are you running it all? I could not run that long)?

@caseface5 - 4 lb in 3 weeks is great! Really really great! Don't beat yourself up.

@cocobellaf - I'm sorry you are still sick. What week is this? Sorry if it is on a ticker somewhere...I can't see anyone's tickers.

@cu97tiger - Chick-fil-a for dinner sounds good to me! Get some F&F snow play pictures for me please!

I weighed in today (I'm weighing in every week just to keep track of everything) and I'm about 11 lb up in weight at week 20 now. Not bad at all (I started on the high end of normal BMI though) but I could definitely do better eating more nutritious food. Last night I ate nachos and I had candy at work... oh and marshmallows for dessert. Seriously, this has to stop. I'm going to start doing a nutrition log I think to make sure I balance things out. At least I worked out yesterday so there is that.

Other than that, I've got a full day at work. H has three plumbers stopping by today to give us quotes. Please God let one of the quotes be reasonable so we can get our bathroom done!!! Please.

Also, I found out one of my best friends is trying to have a baby. She isn't in a relationship and hasn't been for a while (no real desire to be in one) but has a very stable job and is a wonderful person...I'm really, really excited for her. Now I'm praying for several folks to get KU....including a few lovelies on here.

@minskat30 When Callie was born she was 20.5 inches long which was at the 25% so it's on the petite side but when she had her 2 month appointment she was 23 inches long and that was 80% so at 2 months she was already getting to be longer than average.

She will be measured again in a week for her 4 month appointment and I know she has grown since 2 months because everything is short on her lol.

I'm 5'7" which is tall I would say for a woman my age and DH is 5'10" so he isn't particularly tall but we both have very tall people in our families so it wouldn't surprise me if that's what's going to happen with her. Callie has long limbs and big hands and feet so the doctor's predicted early on that she was going to be long and skinny. That's kind of what it's working itself out to be because she is like 4% for her weight...she has a crazy metabolism.

@labro yea since it was my first roux I just followed the recipe, which said "lightly browned" so 5 minutes was good for me lol. I also half beef, half lamb for the meatballs and that was a super good decision.

@minskat30 That sounds great only 11 pounds, seems on track and healthy to me! Can I tell you how much I hate my mom? She was rubbing in my face the other day that she was 135 at delivery for both kids. I was like well that's less than my starting point so thanks...

Morning!

@caseface5 BF coaches HS fencing and he has to go through scheduling issues and dumb hurdles all the time. It sucks!

Yesterday I worked for 12 hours and then raced home to finish my homework before midnight when it was due. BF and I fell asleep watching PLL on Netflix, he was totally not interested but watched anyway lol.

Today I have a much more relaxed day. Im working and brought Coraline with me again! She was SO good yesterday, didn't pee in the store once and when she wasn't chewing a bully stick or duck foot she was sleeping. Her eyes are looking a lot better today too. And my friend gave me a bunch of sweaters that her mini poodle wears to keep her from getting wet/cold in the weather. I can't even take myself seriously anymore

I hung out with my friend for dinner last night, she made a great dinner some amazing cupcakes. If I ever won the lottery I would love to hire a cook, as much as I love cooking it's nice to be cooked for.

Today is my WFH day. I feel tired despite a good night of sleep. They are calling for quite a bit of snow this weekend and H's cousin is getting married Saturday evening up North. We have a hotel booked for the night but I wonder how much snow there will be and if we will even be able to get up there. I'm really looking forward to it, so I hope the whole storm is way less than predicted and we can get up there without any issues.

Otherwise life is pretty boring. I'm looking today for a good book to read I need something new.

Your mom is terrible @jenna8984 - 135 is also less than my starting weight (way less)! Whatever. Weight is all relative to muscle mass and body type. I've got an hour-glass figure, a larger frame and a fair amount of muscles in my lower body. I'll take healthy over a weight any day of the week....that said, I'm keeping track of weight still for my overall goals for baby. I want to gain for her but a healthy amount. My mom gained 80 lb with me and my sister (each time). She lost it each time but my family has a history of obesity...my mom and I are the only ones that aren't obese.

@untouchablets - Coraline looks so cute! Also, I think I mentioned I would report back to you on the pet insurance issues....Rajah's pet insurance (Trupanion) paid up (for the most part) for his claim. They nitpicked about several things they should have covered but denied (anxiety meds at the vet when Raj was freaking out, stitches removal they labeled a "check up" instead of requirement for post-surgery, etc.) but they did cover the bulk of things at the % I signed up for and paid for.

@Peaseblossom55 - I hope you guys can make it to the wedding! Staying in a hotel for a night is always fun!

@labro - I got home late from work so I couldn't pick up the cake frosting...I was sad about it but it was probably for the best. My friend is going the donor method and IVF (not just hooking up with randoms).

She is WAY to much of a Type A to not pick out her future baby's daddy's genes.

@cocobellaf - Ugh, mine stopped right around week 15 or so I think. Everything crossed for you that this is the finish line.
