    @untouchablets - It's not exactly cheap but think of it like how often you use it. I use mine at least 5 days a week so it's totally worth it to me.

    Yes! Definitely. Expensive foundation is worth the money because it's something you wear almost every day. A bad foundation can really mess up your skin. It's one of the few things I've learned to never skimp on.

  • @eilis1228 - My post was about the Beautyblender being expensive but I totally agree about splurging on foundation as well!

  • @Swazzle I get to vote in May. I think it's stupid that all the elections are different days MONTHS apart.

    @AlPacina I went to Ireland in the spring so I know how to deal with rainy vacations, haha. I think BF and I would be more of the sightseeing types rather than the sun and sand types. Good to consider about the driving though!

  • @Swazzle LOL duh. My bad. I think a good sponge or brush is also worth the expense. I've been curious about the Beautyblender for a while, but I really like the brush I use, so I haven't gotten one yet. I use THIS brush for my foundation. (@untouchablets)

    Yeah you're right it's definitely worth it! I just like to try out "dupes" just in case they wind up being mostly the same. I tend to lean more towards using brushes anyway, the beautyblender usually comes out on the days that I clean the brushes so I guess that's why I'm not rushing to buy a new one. I should just buy a new one though.
  • @untouchablets  I only use beauty blender at the end, I tend to use my fingers for most application. {it warms up foundation and makes it so much more blendable!}

    I may or may not have cried already at just the preview. So basically... I'm gonna create a flood in Iowa the day it comes out.

  • On the topic of voting: Democrats, WTF is up with the Superdelegate BS? Another way that our votes don't really count, I guess.

  • @GoldenPenguin  Points for effort at least!

    @AlPacina I assume the Superdelegates have always existed and for some reason it's an issue now. I dunno. I don't really know enough about it to speak intelligently to it but it seems to me as 1 delegate = 1 vote and that's how it should be. Why are some delegates worth more than others?

    @GoldenPenguin I love you.

    @labro - I'm not completely sure, but I think if the GOP had Superdelegates, Trump would not be in the lead.

    But the thing is, Clinton has 91 delegates, which is what the typical voters like us allotted to her. Sanders has 65. But thanks to almost all of the Superdelegates voting for Clinton, the ACTUAL tally is 546-87. It's fucked up. And I'm not saying I support one candidate or the other. (ETA: Superdelegates can vote for whoever they want, and their vote is worth more. I don't know who these people are, or how they're chosen.)

    The internet says it started in the 70s.

  • @labro In Texas, you have to mail in your registration (it can be completed online but cannot be submitted online) at least 30 days before an election (so February 1 was the deadline for the primaries). If you're registered in a different county or city at the time of election, you have to go vote there and fill out a form updating your registration with your new residence. I thought that I'd updated my registration when I updated my name back in November, but then when I looked it up after we moved (mid-February), it said I'm not registered at all. I should have paid closer attention in November, so that's my fault. I got the link to the registration form when I updated the address on my license a few weeks ago, but since it was after February 1, I missed the deadline to vote today. I really wish I could register in person and vote today. I'm kicking myself for not looking into it sooner.

    @eilis1228 So you literally have to mail in a registration EVERY time there is an election? What a load of shit colored red tape!

  • @AlPacina - I don't know much about superdelegates so I'm reading up on it now and I just wanted to throw out there that "delegate" no longer looks or sounds like a real word.

  • @AlPacina - I just read THIS which I found to be pretty interesting. Especially the part that says they've never actually determined an election.

    This was pretty enlightening. I suppose this will be another one of those rare occasions where there is the potential that the superdelegate rule swings the decision in favor of the person who didn't win a plurality.

    Okay, yea, that was seriously informative. I still don't think they should be worth an entire third of the votes needed to win the candidacy, even if they don't tend to determine a winner. But I'm one of those assholes that thinks everyone should have an equal say.

    Delegate as a word does look strange now.

  • I just finished my event and have been up since 5 after getting pretty drunk last night (do not recommend), so being a bad friend and not reading everything.

    re voting:  I'm an independent so I'm am relying on all of you to not vote for Trump since I can't vote today.

    @AlPacina

    Ok I need the rest of the day to fly by so I can sleep.

    @speakeasy14 It's highly likely I'll vote for a third party in the General election and I still voted today. Just sayin'.

    @labro You do not have to register every time there's an election. Basically if you stay at the same address and vote consistently every election, it doesn't expire. If you move to a new county, you have to re-register. You have the option to vote in two elections in the old county, but if you fail to update your registration after that time, it lapses. I've moved to like 3 different counties over the past 5 or 6 years, and I know I didn't vote in a couple of elections because I was registered in a county more than 3 hours away (similar to @audrewuh 's current situation), and I forgot to look into absentee voting in time.  However, I'm really confused about my registration expiring because I swear I have updated my registration a few times recently-- when I've gotten jury duty and when I've updated my driver's license (and isn't a potential jury selected from a list of registered voters?). I have a very distinct memory of mailing in my voter registration last year when I was summoned for jury duty... but when I look up my registration status online, it says I'm not in the system. Regardless, it's my fault for not checking into this before February 1. I'm a bad citizen. My registration form was mailed when I updated my address a few weeks ago on my license, so hopefully I'll be able to vote in November.

    ETA: I keep reading the voter registration website in Texas trying to make sense of all these rules because I wanted to make sure I didn't misrepresent any laws in response to @labro. I'm even more confused now than when I started researching it an hour ago.

    @eilis1228 I literally went there already because I definitely didn't understand what you were saying before. :)

    Basically, Texas works like Georgia. Unless you  move or change your name you'll stay registered. They mail a new voter certificate to you every 2 years (makes sense to me, in case your polling place changes or election dates/rules change). Luckily for me? I can register when I go to the DMV to make changes to my driver's license so it keeps it simple. No mailing in forms or other crap like that.

  • @labro Pennsylvania is a closed primary state so you can only vote if you're registered Dem/Rep.  I hate feeling like I'm being penalized for choosing an alternate option, but also refuse to change my voter status because that negates the reason for the option.

    @speakeasy14 That blows. I don't like living in Georgia because of the politics here but I am thankful we have an open primary so I don't have to make a choice until I walk up to the volunteer to show them my ID.

    I seriously debated asking for the Republican ballot so I could put my vote in for someone other than Trump.

  • Good afternoon everyone. I'm super late today. The day has finally come though...TK GOT BLOCKED AT WORK.
  • And my phone is horrible to post on. I'm so sad!
