small reception for 1k- is this possible? NoCo

Trying to help my sister- she eloped with her husband 2 years ago and would like to (finally) have some sort of get together...40 - 50 people MAX. They only have 1k to spend....any ideas??? TIA

    There's a great venue, not really NoCo, in Colorado Springs - The Lodge at Cathedral Pines (www.cathedralpines.biz), probably at least worth a look.

    Check out http://2000dollarwedding.com/ for some ideas on how to keep costs down.  The couple on the site got married in Allenspark for $2,000, and it was beautiful!

    Why not just do a reception? Then it is less to spend money on, and its a get together. You can't really do another wedding. But they can do a small vow renewal before the party.
