Tunes Tuesday!

Re: Tunes Tuesday!

  • @labro I really thought I updated it when I changed my name and got a new license, but I'm not in the system at all. I remember checking the little box that asked if I needed to update my voter registration info. I also remember updating it last year when I got jury duty. I just need to stop moving so much and remember to check into my voting status more than a month before the election.

  • @labro that gif is exactly how I feel inside. I have to stand by the window in order to read the posts. I'm just going to be that person that posts after work
  • I just tried the trick @swazzle and it worked...but then when I refreshed it didn't. WTF man really

@speakeasy14 That blows. I don't like living in Georgia because of the politics here but I am thankful we have an open primary so I don't have to make a choice until I walk up to the volunteer to show them my ID.

I seriously debated asking for the Republican ballot so I could put my vote in for someone other than Trump.
No lie, my senior pastor is going to do this right now. Except he's voting for Trump because he thinks it will give the dems an edge in the final election.

    Hey everyone!

Also, voting registration laws can go suck it.

  • @MissKittyDanger I'm actively trying to talk BF into considering that if ANY republican wins lol
  • Checking in from my appointment...  Got a big fat NO on the CA trip, but she says I can go to work and go to church as long as I do bed rest the rest of the time.

The good thing about not going to CA is that we just got refunded $900 for hotel, and SW says they'll refund our tickets since I'm under a doctor's order of no flying, so that's another $850.  Just trying to be positive here.
  • @TwoDimes - WHY DO MY EAGLES HAVE TO GET DRAGGED INTO THIS MESS!

  • @speakeay14 I'm an independent, and luckily in my state I can choose which ballot I want to vote on in the primaries. I think it is garbage that some states won't allow unaffiliated voters to vote.

I'm interested to see the results for today!

Also, @swazzle, I don't know any Trump supporters in real life but apparently my state is filled with them. Most seem to be uneducated racists who like that Trump "tells it like it is." Which translates to "he says the stupid shit I've been thinking but haven't said out loud because it's completely fucking insane."

  • @CocobellaF That SUCKS :(! But I am glad you were able to get refunded. You're in my thoughts!

RANT ahead.... I FINALLY heard back from my doctor but not directly (I heard about her opinion through a nurse).  She wants me to come in and do the gestational diabetes test early.  I'm going tomorrow but I'm really frustrated that my doctor didn't actually call me.  The nurse said we would see what the results said and "go from there"...gee, thanks...I had to call you, suggest doing the test early and don't get to talk to the doctor about my actual concerns (the doctor just affirms that I should take the test early LIKE I SUGGESTED, not her).  My doctor is really laid back and I like her most of the time but I feel like she is a little too laid back sometimes unless I push.  For example, I asked her office at my last appointment (knowing this test was eventually coming up anyway) if the serum they make you drink has gluten in it just in case (because, Celiac) and the answer I got was "gee, I don't know.  I'll look into it and call you if it does."  Ok, well what if you "forget" to call me...that will make me very sick.  I got the same answer today with when I can expect the diabetes test results back "oh, we'll call you if anything is wrong but not otherwise"...ok, well you seem to forget things all the time (like the fact that I have Celiac, the fact that you forgot to take my measurements at the last appointment, etc.) so it doesn't inspire much confidence.  Sigh.  I'm going to have to be a little more assertive with them going forward.

@minskat30 That is annoying. I guess I feel like these are the consequences of having a laid back doctor versus a someone super uptight? I dunno. I feel like there has to be a balance out there! If it's not TOO much, it isn't too late to find another ob/gyn too if you wanted. I know you're just venting :) but if you ever actually do start to feel serious about it, there's nothing wrong with looking or asking around. You are allowed to break up with your doctor!

@labro @alpacina - Thank you for that, H and I are going to discuss it tonight actually...he is a little frustrated too at her, well more her staff.  I mean I called her office to ask about a medicine I got prescribed by an Indian doctor when I was in India for an infection and her nurse said "never heard of that medicine, I'm sure its fine to take.  I Googled it and it looked fine.  I doubt a doctor in India would prescribe it to you if it wasn't fine.  You told them you are pregnant right?"

I am venting though, thanks for letting me.  :)

I try to do but sometimes it's so hard to keep up with everyone after hours.  I wish the mobile app was better and made it easier to post.
