  Why not just ask "Will you walk me down the aisle?" No need to call it anything.

  I just thought it would be fun. Also make it a little more "important" or something. And to put it in the program (if we end up having one of those).

  I would ask "Will you walk me down the aisle?"

  Not everything has to be fun to mean something. If someone asked me to walk them down the aisle I can't even imagine how touched and honoured I would be. I wouldn't care a jot whether they'd managed to find a cute title for my role. @crowsgirl15 has you covered on all wording. You're over thinking this.

  What will he be doing after he walks you down the aisle? If he is standing up with you, Man of Honor or Bridesman/Bride's Attendant. If he is sitting, he is a guest. Get him a boutonniere and call it a day. No need or point in making up a title.

  'Unbelievably rude'? Wow. How do you get through the day IRL if this is too much for you?
  
  People took time out of their day to give you advice. Advice that you specifically asked us for. The words you are looking for are 'thank you'. No one said you have to take our advice if you don't want to, but you don't get to cry 'RUDE!' just because it wasn't what you wanted to hear.

  My brother walked me down the aisle (such as it was), and I don't remember exactly asking him; it was just sort of assumed he would do this, and his title was "my beloved brother."  Nothing else was needed.
