Catchy title -- Best Friend walking me down aisle

Hoping the community could help me brainstorm.

I'm trying to come up with a catchy title for my best friend. I'm having him walk me down the aisle (and having my sister as my MOH, no bridesmaids). I'm wanting to ask him to do it... "Will you be my ________".

MOH is taken, Best Man is taken. Escort sounds well... bad.

Any ideas?

  • I just thought it would be fun. Also make it a little more "important" or something. And to put it in the program (if we end up having one of those).
  • What will he be doing after he walks you down the aisle? If he is standing up with you, Man of Honor or Bridesman/Bride's Attendant. If he is sitting, he is a guest. Get him a boutonniere and call it a day. No need or point in making up a title.

Giving someone or something a cheesy made-up title doesn't make it or them more important.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Wow. I thought perhaps this community would be helpful, not so unbelievably rude. My mistake. I hope you don't treat everyone this way regarding ideas they have for their weddings.

No one's being rude (not intentionally, anyway). You asked for opinions and got them. Yes, some people are blunt, but it's out of a genuine desire to help and educate.

    Who was rude?

  • My brother walked me down the aisle (such as it was), and I don't remember exactly asking him; it was just sort of assumed he would do this, and his title was "my beloved brother."  Nothing else was needed.
