Well it's 10:30 here and I just got to work. My good friend who lives an hour away had an appointment within 10 minutes of my house, so I met her for breakfast. She was like wow, you're such a job hopper I can't believe you've been there 3 years now! And I'm like well yea, I have this kind of freedom to show up late, leave early, occasionally work from home- I'm never leaving!!

Tonight making spaghetti & homemade meatballs.

Good morning everyone. Wild night/morning at Casa de Coco.

First, I'll AW the floors. He finished the front rooms and hallway, will start grouting that today, and do the master bedroom closet today. Tonight we have to move everything back into the front rooms and set up shop for a couple days there while he works on the living room and bedroom.

This is K's room. Because the light was dying outside and we don't have her chandelier working yet, it looks quite a bit darker than it normally does. I'll take more pictures this week. But I love it. I LOVE the floors. So glad I went with the cinnamon instead of the wheat.

Our house is crazy because stuff is everywhere from cleaning out all the rooms to put in the floors. Those are some of my shoes in the background.. I have a problem. Everything I'm wearing today (except a belly band) is pre-preg stuff. Lifting my arms makes my shirt ride up a little bit, but OH WELL. I'm KU and getting to the point where IDC and people can deal with it.

So yesterday, I came home from work, laid down until H got home. We ate at Q'Doba and then I got a passion tea lemonade from Starbucks. It's my new thing. H went for a run (he did a 5K in the neighborhood) and I stood in the shower under hot water pretty much the whole time. My back is killing me, I feel like it's breaking in half. I got a massage scheduled for Thursday afternoon so I hope that helps.

H likes to put Spanish music on his phone and stick it on my belly at night and then feel for kicks. Kennedy loves music. So we were doing that at bedtime last night, and she started kicking the phone off my belly. He was so proud. Ha.

I woke up at 1 AM this morning with the worst "morning sickness" I've had in weeks. I was up sick until 6:30 AM. Went back to bed until 8, got ready for work, let the floor installer guy in, dropped the dogs off at my parents', and now I'm at work. Rough!

@Swazzle - Seared scallops sound amaaaaaaazing.

@beachyone15 - Hoping for all the best for you at work. Change like that is so nerve-wracking.

Re: Brussels attack. I haven't read the news yet since I just got to work, but I'll catch up. It sounds AWFUL.

Thanks, everyone. Hopefully it'll all be fine. Change is scary but nothing ever stays the same forever.

@eilis1228 - Totally agree about Waco. H and I watch that show and I'm always like, we could afford a beautiful, newly-renovated house like the ones they do, and he's like, yeah, but do you really want to live in Waco? Nope.

@jenna8984 - Sounds like you have a good thing, especially being able to WFH. I wouldn't leave either!

@labro I'd never had one before, but it came in my wine club shipment and I normally like any and all red wine. It was a little too tart and full bodied for me. @audrewuh really liked it though. I really love to drink Cabernet or Chianti.

@cocobellaf Aaw where does your back hurt? Mine kills right at the top of my butt cheek only on the right side. I thought back pain wouldn't come until way later when I was carrying a lot of weight but it's been there since day 1!! Massage helped for like 2 days and it was back, ugh sucks. also your pic is blocked for me so I can't see the floors waaah.

@jenna8984 - Mine hurts on the left side, all the way up through my scalp to my lower back. It feels like it's on fire by the end of the day. Doctor says probably because I'm carrying so low and so forward. We've been putting some oils on it that are the equivalent of icy hot. And I think my tailbone must be moving a little bit to make room because it is killing me too. ETA: I am carrying a lot of weight already... 20-25 lbs. Can't imagine what I'll feel like in June/July!!!

I'm so boring and basically have nothing to talk about. All I did was make dinner and watch Married At First Sight last night.

I guess I can update on the fact that things with my BF have been awesome ever since that day I was writing on here about a big fight we had and how upset I was. I think we're both the kind of people that let our personal moods spill over into how we treat each other. Now that we've identified a big issue, it's made it easier to understand each other, and I've just felt more loved in general because I am not letting myself take things too personally when he's obviously in a bad mood. And he tends to lighten up when I let him know that he's being unnecessarily hurtful. Plus we've been going out together a lot this month and it's brought both of our moods up a ton.

Did anyone else see Kevin Spacey going out in public with a Kevin Spacey mask?

Not much last night. Matt was in a crabby mood from not getting an interview, but I think he's pretty much over it now. I made chicken and cheese stir-fry last night {comfort food!}

Tonight is going to be about the same, just include some laundry and me being home later than normal. Hoping Matt remembers to start dinner at least lol

@southernpeach89 Oooh that situation with the nanny would make my blood boil. I hope you find a resolution, and I'm glad you have a trial-and-error idea. I wouldn't be able to handle someone ignoring what I want done with my child!
@untouchablets That's aggravating if someone signs up for group, gets one-on-one, and then bitches when another puppy is added to make it a group. I think the place I worked back in college would force consolidation to avoid that issue, but I wasn't a trainer there so I don't know for certain.
@PamBeesley524 HR is much less exciting than beer. Hopefully you get the standard "conference afterparty" evenings. haha.

@Cocobellaf Love the floors! (and the bump!). I also have way too many shoes, I'm at a point where I feel like I just have TOO MUCH stuff in my place and am going to start really getting rid of things.
@jenna8984 My job is flexible in that I can come in a little late or leave for appointments with no issue, but I really wish I could WFH sometimes. If I want to WFH I still have to take it as a sick/vacation day... which means there's no way in hell I'd be working!

The attacks in Brussels are breaking my heart today. Belgium is a place I really want to visit and it just makes me sad that some people decided to wreck havoc.

I sort of agree with @alpacina, it seems scary to travel abroad, especially to the EU. I hope for a solution.

Last night I didn't do too much, I cleared a path so my mom can bring over a chest of drawers that was my Mammaw's (great grandmother). It matches the bed frame I have that belonged to her. I took some donation items downstairs to my "donation closet" which is basically the area I am storing random items I need to get rid of. I really need to actually take the items to be donated, but the local charity I had used had some fraud uncovered and I'd rather donate elsewhere, so I'm still trying to pick a place to donate.

I ate leftovers and tried watching tv, but just couldn't focus so I basically vegged out for a couple hours doing nothing. No tv, no music, just sitting. Decided to go to bed early and OF COURSE then my brain decided to ramp up its activity level so I couldn't fall asleep for hours.

@wink0erin Yea, they let me work from home maybe like once or twice a month. Any more than that and the other nosybodies around here all bitch and complain that they aren't allowed to. It sucks because MY boss doesn't care but then the boss of the entire building has to tell me "not to abuse it". I just want to be like well I get my job done so tell those people to mind their fucking business. It's not my fault that I'm in accounting which can be done at home and they are in customer service which can't be done at home! They don't seem to understand that and want us "office people" all to be equal. I'm like but we're not equal, go get a accounting degree then if you don't like what's offered for your position, instead of trying to shit on mine LOL.

@swazzle - I don't think I even really knew who Kevin Spacey was until I started dating my BF. House of Cards got me more motivated to seek out some of his other stuff, though, and I love him now! Have you done any catching up on that show? We've still only watched one freaking episode of the new season!

I have tried to make plans with 4 different people now for this Sunday, completely forgetting it's Easter every single freaking time. I even told one of my friends "You're going all the way to Texas to see your family on a random weekend? It isn't even a holiday!"......... I need to learn to look at a calendar, apparently.

Anyone have any fun plans for the holiday? I obviously do not, haha.

@jenna8984 I hate that! We have recently had a mandate that everyone has to come in to the office every god damn day. Luckily my team is still exempt from that as long as we keep it on the down low. But it's so stupid. I do SO MUCH MORE and work so many more hours when I WFH. I wish more companies would embrace it.

@AlPacina H has Friday off and he didn't even realize it was because of Good Friday until I told him. We don't do much for Easter normally. This year we're going to a family style dining restaurant on Saturday to meet some old family friends and then Sunday is family dinner at my parent's house.

@wink0erin yeah, at this point I'm only allowing people to sign up for classes that already have a puppy or dog in them. I have other available times but unless it works for two different people I won't open it up. The one problem I had on Sunday, it was their last class and one of the parents pulled me aside and complained that she didn't get anything out of the class the last two sessions. I've been asking her for weeks to start closing her puppy in the crate at night so they won't keep having potty training issues and she hasn't done it, so I told her the only thing we had left to go over was that and the socialization aspect of the class. We did the socialization part with the other puppy, but since there has been no potty training progress because she's not following instructions, I have nothing left to teach.

@jenna8984 I'm an accountant too! So much of my work could be done at home. Some files are easier to access at work but really everything I need can be accessed remotely because of all the travel required for audits. I'll admit, I have actually extended my audit a day just to wrap things up at home without the annoyances of the office.

Another employee works entirely from home in another part of the state, so I really don't get why I can't do a couple days a month, especially since I get my work done. I asked once and the argument was that others here couldn't be trusted to get their work done at home. Because THAT makes sense. Some of the guys already bitch that I get more favorable cases (read as, better locations, more interesting) and that the director & supervisor allow me to take the vacation time THAT I EARNED. I'm just really good at balancing my workload, while many of them sit in their offices doing nothing all day!

@cocobellaf - I love, love, love the floors! I'm right there with you sister on pregnancy issues though....weight gain, back pain and all (well minus the sickness...I'm sorry you are still dealing with that). Standing for more than 10 minutes now usually results in my left leg going completely numb...last night was the worst and I actually thought I was going to fall over. Pregnancy is not glamorous. And Braxton Hicks have started too at this point. I was told they weren't supposed to be painful by Dr Google but apparently he is wrong when it comes to my body (and my doc confirmed that with some women they feel like cramps...guess I'm just "lucky" like that).

@eilis1228 - LOVE Fixer Upper. They always do such a great job and are such a cute couple.

@AlPacina - I have not. I feel like I've been (very slowly) reading in all of my free time. I need to step it up! Have you seen The Life of David Gale? One of my all time favorite movies EVER.

I also keep completely forgetting that Easter is on Sunday. We don't celebrate it but I do appreciate the early close on Thursday and the day off on Friday!

@swazzle - I have not seen that movie but it looks SO GOOD. And intense. I'll stick it in my queue!...... I'm sad that I probably won't do much reading until I'm done with this show now, haha. I can't decide what to read next! I'm deciding between a young adult book (which will probably only take me a day, honestly), another Jojo Moyes book (which I'm sure will be sad), or In The Woods.

Well if they come, let me know and I can provide some limited guidance at least.

With most women it is just a feeling of tightening of the abdomen without pain. My doctor said some pain is ok but if they last more than an hour and are in a pattern to call her though. I agree with your sentiment though...it is all worth it in the end. I'm happy to have a healthy little girl growing inside me ultimately, even if that means 11 weeks of hobbling around still.
