Good morning! How is it already Monday again?

My weekend was fantastic! I drove up to @GoldenPenguin 's house on Friday along with @buddysmom80 @Hummingbird125 and @csousa1 . We (those of us not carrying aliens!) drank all the booze and ate pizza and just talked and laughed all night as usual.

On Saturday, it was @GoldenPenguin 's birthday and we lounged around the house all day. I made bloody marys and then we switched to these incredible orange dranks (vodka, orange dry, and a splash of OJ) which are now my favorite things on Earth. We had onion dip and buffalo chicken dip and watched TV/movies all day. For dinner, we went to Dinosaur BBQ and all got completely stuff with amazing food. We went back to the house and cut into the Nothing Bundt Cake I brought for the birthday girl! We had a much earlier night that night and luckily woke up feeling good yesterday.

We ate cake for breakfast and then all headed out around noon. Last night I drank an extremely large glass of wine and watched TWD (holy hell) and didn't go to sleep until late so I'm a bit tired today.

Can it please just be Friday now so I can be on my way to Chicago???????

@Swazzle Sounds like an amazing weekend! I wish I was there to celebrate @GoldenPenguin with all of you! DH watched TWD last night and was freaking out lol.

Ugh last Friday was insane. Work has been so stressful. I was wanting to get a lot done around the house but I felt so glued to my computer. I did get to shave my legs though so I'm happy about that lol. That night DH had to work so my mom and @labro came by to hang out. We had pizza and played with Callie.

Saturday Callie and I went to a bridal shower while DH was at work. It was a fun time and all the guests wanted to hold Callie. She had a pretty busy day.

Sunday DH brought home donuts and we lounged around all day. We seriously did nothing and it felt great lol.

DH is on Spring Break this week so we plan to get a lot done around the house. My van has been having some issues with the fan so that's in the shop today. Hopefully it gets fixed because a car in the warmer months of Georgia without AC is not good!!!

Friday night was my cousin's birthday so we went to my aunt's for that. We had pizza and chatted with the family.

Saturday we woke up early and headed to the gym! After that, we ran errands. While at the mall, they were having a chili cook-off so BF got in on that. We then went home and got ready for the night. We met my Parents, my Aunt and Uncle, my other Aunt and her BF, and my Cousin and her BF. The place we went was really good!

Yesterday we went to the gym again in the morning, then did grocery shopping and cleaned up the house. We headed to our down the street neighbors around 3:30. Last night was Wrestlemania, so we had a big viewing party for it with yummy food. I made WW taco salad so that I could munch and not go too far over points. It was good, I did really good predicting.

Last night we didn't get home until midnight, and Tess took a bit to settle down so we didn't get to sleep until about 1. Then I woke up at 4 because I must have slept on my arm wrong, and I pinched a nerve. I finally took meds and the pain has gone away a bit, but man it sucked. So I'm sleepy today.

I JUST NEED TO GET THROUGH TILL FRIDAY BECAUSE OMG CHICAGO!!!

@southernpeach89 - That video of Callie and Maddux this weekend? Just about melted every ounce of my heart.

@caseface5 - WTG this weekend with the workouts!!! I hope you wake up though...I fully plan on coffee to get through this morning

This weekend was mostly chores and Ani-stuff. We got a bit done for the nursery...I'll post a picture or two when I'm not on mobile.

Today is a freaking zoo at work. This is why I hate short weeks (conference starts on Thursday) because you still have to do a week's worth of work in 3 days. I cannot WAIT till Friday to see some of you though!!!

@southernpeach89 congrats on the leg shaving. I actually did mine this weekend too.. so necessary. Also I've been craving doughnuts for a few days so I'm jealous of that!

My weekend was pretty great, I got to work from home on Friday so I got a lot of cleaning/knitting done along with SOME work. Saturday I ran a quick 5k around our local reservoir in the rain - it was sprinkling when I left and pouring by the time I finished. Then my mom came down from NH and we went to brunch, painted pottery and made a homemade spinach pasta dinner! Then we watched Room. It was nice to have some alone time with her... I can't wait to pick up our pottery later this week! I made a new fruit bowl (I had painted one there previously and it broke awhile back) and my mom painted a ceramic colander.

Yesterday my mom and I made breakfast and then she left.. H came home in the afternoon and we lounged around. We actually ended up getting into bed around 5ish and stayed there all night talking and laughing and watching tv. It was relaxing and nice to have him home.

Now it's snowing guys. SNOWING. I'm trying not to look out the window at work and hopefully it will stop before I leave. I need to run 4.5 miles today, so we'll see how that goes.

Morning!
My weekend was alright... Didn't so much Saturday except work and then work out at my new gym for the first time. So far, I like it!

Yesterday was eventful. I rescued a dog from certain death! I was at work and across the street I saw a massive dog just wandering around! I work on a busy main road so I looked around for an owner near the dog and didn't see anybody so I got really scared for him! My coworker and I grabbed a leash and ran across the street, the dog came right over! We looped the leash around his neck and took him back to work. We kept him in my dog training area while we made some calls, he had no collar and no microchip! We reported that we found him to the police, called the only vet that was open on a Sunday, and eventually I called a friend of mine who knows the head of our local shelter. Our shelter is actually just the pound that the city lets a nonprofit orginization run... The people who run it are AMAZING! So the head of the shelter sent someone to pick up the dog, who I named bandit just in case his owner doesn't claim him. They have ten days, and then he will be put up for adoption, and if I didn't have a full house already you know I'd snatch him up! Here he is

Also, I watched TWD last night and I am very upset!

@southernpeach89 - I didn't shave my legs until this morning, so you are way ahead of me. Ha!

I am so jealous of everyone's Chicago (or Asheville, @labro) plans!!! I can't wait to take a trip.

@minskat30 - Hope your work day/week isn't too miserable.

@PamBeesly524 - How was your time on the 5K? My last one (in October) was an average 9'54" pace. Not my best, but it sounds super fast to me right now. One can only waddle so quickly you know.

Good morning and happy Monday, y'all.

My weekend was not exciting. I remember nothing about Friday except my dr's appointment. BP was still elevated, but not in the danger zone, so I left with instructions to monitor it at least 2x a day. Over the weekend I got excellent readings (average of 110/60 with one 101/53) so I am feeling HAPPY about that.

Actually, I do remember Friday. We had lunch with friends and went through some baby stuff, I went to a baby consignment store with my mom and bought little outfits, and then ate Braum's and watched Star Wars with H and my brother. I was in a lot of back pain that day, and I think that the accumulation of work stress + baby stress got to me because I ended up having an epic panic attack about 11:00 and was up until 3:00 or so.

Saturday I stayed in bed or the recliner pretty much the entire day. A friend came over who just had her first behbeh 5 or 6 weeks ago around 8:00. I got to hold the baby and we talked. She had a natural birth and told me for the love of God, get the epidural. OK, will do. She also brought a gift bag with some super thoughtful stuff. After she left I cried (stupid hormones) and then colored in the coloring book that was part of the gift.

OK, to AW a couple adorable outfits!

@swazzle That sounds like SO much fun. You have so many fun weekends of food/groups of ladies. I never get anything like that. My friends are always "too busy" and none of them are friends with each other. Boo.

@pambeesly524 Fun weekend with your mom!! Yea fuck this snow, I actually drive into work at 6pm last night to get my laptop so that I could avoid the drive this morning.

Saturday I did all the house cleaning, dishes, laundry. H went out for guy's night so I made dinner plans with a friend but she canceled last minute. I was actually kind of relieved. So I made my grocery list and got the shopping done (usually we go together on Sundays). Picked up a premade lobster roll from the grocery store for dinner- noms.

Yesterday we went to the Divergent/Allegiant movie. It was really good. Then we did the baby's room decals! H was all huffy at first- like "this is going to forever, and it's going to be so hard to get bubbles out, blah blah". In reality they were super easy- the whole thing took 2 hours and I'm thrilled with it! Once I get the glider from my friend it will go right between the deer.

@Swazzle I thought they did an excellent job with the movie... The author wrote the screenplay so it was very true to the book. The boy who played Jack is an amazing actor!

@CocoBellaF cute little baby clothes! Love it. I was supposed to run my 5k at race pace which I'm hoping it will be around a 9:00/mile.. But since it was raining* I accidentally ran it at like 8:24/mile which is way too fast. But I was happy to get it over with.

*I also was angry-running because some guy was running the loop on the wrong side so every time we met he would be running in my path and I would have to move for him, which I hate. The third time I wouldn't move for him and told him to run on the right like everyone else and he told me to fuck off. Ahh, Boston.

@PamBeesly524 - That's good time!! My H decided to sign up for a half marathon an hour away for June 5th. He thinks he needs to do it before K gets here. I'm irrationally worried that will be the weekend she comes, haha. Anyway, he is following some kind of schedule he worked out with from some trainer at work. He did 5 miles on Saturday at an average 8'52". This Saturday is supposed to be 6 miles. He gets up in the morning while it's nice and cool and goes. I wish I could go, I miss running. Soon enough I suppose!

Ok, this is another post and run...I swear work is trying to extract every possible ounce of work from me before this conference on Thursday but here are a handful of nursery AW pictures.

The rug is from India and SO SOFT you guys. Some of the butterflies (mostly the one on the wall coming out of the trunk with the teal elephant) are 3D and really cute. Oh and @beanbot2002 - notice something? Those pictures (Denmark, Wisconsin and India) hanging above the dresser were my SS gift from her and I ADORE them...they fit perfectly. We still need a nightstand and some floating shelves and nursery lights and a million other little things but this is a good enough start for me.

What a weird yet kind of busy weekend!

Friday I was at a different office, and since Matt was working late I ended up just busing to his work and he drove us home. We ended up picking up McD's and my stomach hurt so bad and puffed up. Sometimes this happens, but rarely that bad. I looked about 2 1/2 months pregnant lol

Anyways, Saturday Matt had to finish up some work {he's been doing a lot of over time lately} so I got out of his hair and headed to Winners {Marshall's/TJ Maxx basically - same chain} I got a few things for organizing our kitchen drawers. I got a few cute ideas for future nursery stuff. Afterwards headed to Giant Tiger and grabbed some lunch.
Of course, as I'm heading home Matt is on the balcony taking a break and sees me with my bags.
Matt: what the hell did you buy?
me: don't judge! it's helpful stuff
Matt: did you buy a rug?
me: sort of. we needed new rugs for the kitchen and bathroom
Matt: uh huh ....
me: I said don't judge!

Sunday while Matt took a nap I cleaned a bunch. I've been trying to slowly get rid of a bunch of stuff, and so far it's going well. Found a bunch of photos we're going to need albums for later. Bag and half of stuff to be donated, plus went through a tote enough that I could fit both the PS2 and PS3 in!
I love getting rid of stuff, but it's so frustrating until the stuff actually leaves the apartment.

Tonight I'm sorting through a bag of stuff, which I think is just summer stuff.

I will be glad when everything is just done being sorted *sigh*

Honestly, I had "shit is real" moment yesterday turning off the light to her nursery as we finished up. I came *this* close to saying "goodnight, Ani" as I turned off the light and nearly cried (ok, ok, there may have been a tear or two). She is going to be here in 2 months!!!

Good morning. We had a great weekend. Friday was date night, so H and I went to this really dive-y type bar/burger joint for live music and OMG the burgers were so good. The band was...interesting. You could tell it was a family band. The mom and sister were having a great time, and the brother looked super bored. Like all he wanted to do was shred on the guitar but the music they were playing was more folksy. Pretty entertaining. Then we went to get a milkshake and headed home to veg.
Saturday was my cousin's fiance's bridal shower which was fun. We played a couple of games, including "match the Disney movie with the correct song title" which we all were terrible at. The 20-year-olds did well though! Then my mom and I went shopping and I got a few new tops and a really cute casual paisley-printed dress for summer. H and I had dinner plans at my BFF's house which was fun and we made s'mores on the grill.
Sunday we went grocery shopping and did ALL THE LAUNDRY. I'm also sorry to say that I couldn't finish TWD because I got a bad headache last night that turned into a migraine so I went to bed early. Feeling better today though, and looking forward to Thursday when I can finally move back to my private office!

@swazzle - I was so looking forward to discussing TWD with you!!! Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until tonight to finish it.
@southernpeach89 - I had a friend in college who's a/c in her car didn't work and I couldn't believe she was able to drive around TX with no a/c! Hope you can get the car fixed soon.

@minskat30 omg that is so gorgeous! I can see Raj taking many naps on that rug "watching" Ani sleep in her crib. The elephants are fantastic

@misskittydanger nice job getting rid of more stuff, always a nice feeling. Not from Etsy, from a company that only does decals. I looked at so many on Amazon and many were like cheap from China that reviewers said fell off overnight. So I found this company that's made in the US and much better quality. Worth the extra price for sure.

@cocobellaf aw so sweet of your friend. And hell yes please to the epidural, I'm not trying to "hold out" whatsoever!

@PamBeesly524 - Running in the rain is one of my favorite things...if I manage to predict it properly and remember to wear my old shoes!

@CocoBellaF - OMG those outfits. I am seriously LOVING the second one a lot.

@minskat30 - That is the cutest nursery I have ever seen. I love the colors and the elephants and the decoration and...all of it.

WHY is it Monday again already? I suppose I can be happy that it's the first Monday of April, though, because this marks our last month of classes, and when I get to the end of it I can say that I may it through my first year as a full-time faculty member!

My weekend was not very exciting. I did get some awesome news Thursday night: I've been accepted into a 3-week summer program sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities! I had applied on a whim and never thought I'd get in, but I did! They had over 60 applications and only took 25, so I feel really honored and SUPER EXCITED.

Friday we were supposed to have bad storms so I rushed around trying to get errands done before then...I went to yoga and for a run, had a dentist appointment, a bikini wax, and a massage, and took Smudge to the vet for her regular check-up. She's in great health (which is awesome, because she'll be 10 in October), and we switched her flea & tick to something that will hopefully work with the devil bugs we have her in Coastal Georgia.

Saturday and Sunday I basically did nothing. Tidied up the house, did laundry, took the dog for a walk, did some yoga and running. I watched old episodes of Say Yes to the Dress and binged on NCIS on Netflix.

Today I'm working on grading and the second of my "dream job" applications. Tonight is yoga and then Margarita Mondays with a colleague. We get together and have Mexican food and drink margaritas and vent about life.
