  I'm really glad my bonus mom didn't fight my dad when he helped me pay for college.  But she's made of awesome and would never dream of doing that.

  "Bonus" is the best way I've ever heard to describe step-family.

  "Bonus" is the best way I've ever heard to describe step-family. 

  I've heard that a few different places and started using it because my bonus mom is the best. My father is so happy and she really brings out the best in him. I've told her that many times.
