Finally Friday!

HOOOOOOOORAYYYYYYYYYY!

H and I went out for sushi last night which I've been craving for 2 weeks. It was glorious! I read on the couch for the rest of the night with hockey on in the background and then went to bed early-ish.

I can't wait for this day to be over already! I just want to be at home and relaxing and I'm so excited to sleep in tomorrow with my kittens and pup. It's going to be the best!

I have nothing planned all weekend. I need to clean up the house at some point and I have a ton of stuff on my DVR that I need to catch up on. H is working all day tomorrow and then going to an event straight from work so I'm on my own all day and night (absolutely NO complains there). I might meet my aunt for dinner tomorrow night. But no set plans which I'm really excited about because I need that after being away the last two weekends and my parents are coming to stay with us next weekend.

What's your favorite day of the week?
How late do you usually sleep on the weekends?
Do you have a favorite weekend breakfast?
If you're not going anywhere or having anyone over, do you shower?
Do you dress differently on the weekends vs at work/during the week?
If the weekend was 3 days, would you rather have off on Friday or off on Monday?

Re: Finally Friday!

  • I've had a yucky week.  I've thrown up all week, only made it in to 3.5 hours of work yesterday.  Huge panic attack on Wednesday.  I'm so happy it's the weekend, I need a break.

In good news, I passed my GD test.

No big plans this weekend.  Well, one of H's cousins is getting married this weekend.  They dropped off the invite on Wednesday and the wedding is at 6 PM tonight (which means more like 7:00) at a Mexican restaurant.  I don't even know.  This might beat the wedding we went to with a person dressed up in a giant chicken costume dancing at the reception, as part of the entertainment.  But then again, maybe not.

If I'm feeling up to it, we'll go to the wedding.  It's supposed to rain all weekend, so the rest of the time I think we're going to try to get caught up on inside stuff...  finishing the chandelier, putting books on the shelves, reorganizing the pantry.

I need a more exciting life!

What's your favorite day of the week?

Friday!  I do have to get up an go to work, but only until 11:00 or so and then I'm off the rest of the day.

How late do you usually sleep on the weekends?
Not very (maybe 7 or 8).

Do you have a favorite weekend breakfast?
Normally, I like going to eat a big Guatemalan breakfast.  For right now, I guess H making blueberry waffles.

If you're not going anywhere or having anyone over, do you shower?
    Sometimes.

Do you dress differently on the weekends vs at work/during the week?
Yes!  Way more PJ time when I'm not at work.

If the weekend was 3 days, would you rather have off on Friday or off on Monday?
    I think Monday.
  • @PamBeesly524 Have fun cheering on your friends at the Boston Marathon! That will be so fun!

@CocobellaF That's awesome you passed your GD test! Also a wedding at a Mexican restaurant? lol...
  • @PamBeesly524 - LOL about the bra. That same thing just happened recently, like in the process of a makeout sesh. I was like after 9 years, you should KNOW what you're doing, sir. And he pointed out that when we're at home I'm never wearing a bra

@CocoBellaF - Whoa. That wedding sounds..... interesting.

@southernpeach89 - I hope the three of you have a perfect day together on Sunday!

  • It's going to be good, ladies.  If we go I will report back on Monday.
  • @CocoBellaF I'm so sorry you haven't been feeling well! I hope you get some R&R this weekend.

@southernpeach89 mmm Eggs Benedict.. I'd like to change my answer :)

@lavenderfields13 Have you ever eaten at Lucia's? I love their food and they take reservations!!!

  • @CocoBellaF I don't think I've heard the story about the Chicken wedding, that sounds pretty bizarre lol.

@PamBeesly524 @Swazzle H had the same issue with my bra recently too. As soon as I get home during the week it comes off and if I'm not leaving the house on the weekends it is NOT going on! If I'm running to the grocery store I usually don't put one on either- one benefit of having a small chest is that no one notices lol

@pambeesly524 No I haven't been there- I will look into it, thanks! We've only been to a couple down there which is crazy because we've lived in Boston our whole lives! I'm pretty picky though so it takes forever to find somewhere I'd eat - I need basic pasta dishes, not fancy stuff lol

  • @lavenderfields13 hmmm I think you could get a little bit of fancy or a little bit of plain at Lucia's. Right across the street is Maurizio's - it looks awful from the outside and it's tiny on the inside but the food is really good!
  • @lavenderfields13 - I definitely can't get away with that!

@jenna8984 - LOL that's hysterical. Dreams are SO weird.

  • @minskat30 Yea when you start introducing solids there are so many things that could happen and to think that their little bodies have never had this before so you never know! Diaper rashes are pretty common though...sometimes it can signify an allergy but she hasn't had any other rashes or reactions so that's why I think it's just the acidity. We keep an eye on it though. Yesterday we tried corn for the first time and she loved it! I always get excited when she likes something new. Next week I'm planning on introducing meat so that will be interesting.
  • @lavenderfields13 Assuming you guys want Italian in the north end? I jut saw this place on Phantom Gourmet last weekend that is a sushi joint in the north end and it looks frigen fantastic. I NEED to go there, it's called Crudo.

  • @minskat30 I hope you guys get some great deals this weekend!
No houses that we're in love with yet. Right now we're just doing the open house things- I talked briefly in another thread about a stupid issue with H's credit score. We know how much we can afford/will most likely be approved for but we're waiting until his score goes up so we can get a better rate. Unless we fall in love at an open house and just say screw it, get the approval letter and put an offer it. I'm annoyed because I want to be able to see other houses but I'm hoping his score goes back up in May and the perfect house is waiting for us!

  • @jenna8984 Yup, Italian!  We don't do sushi. We're both a little picky but I'm definitely worse lol.

  • @beachyone15 Yay to the new bed and LEMON CAKE this weekend! Happy Birthday to your Mom!
I need some new spring clothes. I hate shopping now though because I hate spending money lol.

  • @speakeasy14 I can't believe your car still isn't ready! You guys seem to have terrible luck with getting cars fixed. I hope Emmy makes her safe arrival soon!

  • A bit of P&R today!

    I've basically accepted that this month's budget is skewed vastly. I need to set aside some money for a hair appt and pedicure next month, plus I may be going to a concert next weekend {Hedley!}
It didn't help that I went over budget by $18 for groceries, but granted we got a lot.

What's your favorite day of the week?
Thursdays because that's typically pay day lol

How late do you usually sleep on the weekends?
It depends. Last weekend I slept later than normal but I think I'm over tired. Typically I'm up at 8am

Do you have a favorite weekend breakfast?
Yes. Any breakfast I don't have to make myself lmao
If you're not going anywhere or having anyone over, do you shower?
Depends. If I really need a shower, I'll take one. But if it's an "optional" kind of deal then I'll push to next day.

Do you dress differently on the weekends vs at work/during the week?
Yes and no. In warmer months, I can't wear shorts to work. In winter months my dress pants are warmer than jeans, so not huge difference.

If the weekend was 3 days, would you rather have off on Friday or off on Monday?
Funny I was JUST talking to my coworker about this. Friday for sure. When you leave Thursday, you know your next day is free and then weekend. So if you have errands to do, you can do it the Friday and have weekend free!

@speakeasy14 What in the actual fuck in regards to your mechanic. This is seriously getting ridiculous!!! Also, I hope you have a little niece SOON!!!!!!!!!!!! Your sister is past her due date now right?

@lavenderfields13 It may not be the worst idea in the world to just take a break from house hunting at all since you don't think you'll be serious about buying until next month anyway. We went to a couple open houses and I just never felt like I got anything out of them in the same way I did when we went to individual appointments at homes. I hope your H's credit score goes up soon! And I hope April flies by for you!

  • @speakeasy14 - There was zero way I could go back to sleep after I saw that lady's post about her dog in pain. I understand not wanting to take your dog to an emergency vet for what sounded like just a bad fall though (that said, I would have hauled Raj to the emergency vet because I'm anal).  I'm just glad I could help her dog out.  Also, YEAH for baby watch!  I can't wait to see the update (hopefully soon) and a picture of you as the newest NEY auntie!!!!

@labro - I feel like we both live at Home Depot.  ;)  Good luck this weekend!  Also, the time you are volunteering to the charity gave me all the feels....doing things like that are just awesome and so few do them.  Major props to you.

@minskat30 Yeah I guess this April is officially National Volunteer Month so my company had a lot of opportunities to sign up for some events. I'm doing the meal prep thing on Sunday and then early early Tuesday morning I'm going to the Ronald McDonald House in our area to make and serve breakfast to the families staying there! I'm so excited since it's my first time volunteering there and Ronald McDonald House is one of our biggest charity relationships!

I'd say we should both take out stock in Home Depot but they keep having these ridiculous data breaches and credit card reader issues and yeah...

  • @lavenderfields13 - H and I went to Giacomo's while we were in Boston for our HM, and then got dessert at an Italian cafe.  It was all so good!!
