Morning! Monday is over!

When I got home from work my new black slip-on sneakers and a dress I ordered had both been delivered and it was like Christmas! I love them both. H and I took the pup for a walk and then made hot dogs on the grill and lounged around the house for the rest of the night.

Tonight we're going to see Captain America: Civil War in 3D and I'm SO excited! Excited for the movie, excited for the previews, excited for the food.

@Swazzle You will not be disappointed by Civil War. I am dying to go see it again I liked it so much.

Last night I got to play soccer mom. My cousin had to go get my aunt and uncle from the airport so I brought her son to soccer practice. He was so cute out there!

Poor kid thought lost his drink and didn't tell me until practice was over. Thankfully I had a water in the car so I gave him that and he sucked it down.

After that I went home and cleaned up a little and started the laundry I didn't get to this past weekend. Tonight I have to finish the laundry and go to Comcast to return our old boxes. I am hoping to get to the gym tonight too. I really need to start going more.

Happy Tuesday! Have fun at the movie, @Swazzle!

I'm here until 1:30, then I have an OB appointment. So hopefully today will be an easy day.

I was driving home from the chiro yesterday, and suddenly I could hear the tornado sirens going off. I stopped and checked the radar, it was barely east of me so I kept going home, but it was so weird!

I kept really busy last night (cleaned the house, set up a patio umbrella, did several loads of laundry, etc.) and paid for it. My back was killing me, but I finally fell asleep from 12:30-3:00 AM, and then slept again from 4:00-5:15 AM. Hopefully I sleep better tonight to make up for it. Gotta wash the sheets when I get home, pregnancy makes you a sweaty monster!

@LizzyTish88 - Poor kid, he was probably crazy thirsty!

Yesterday I went straight to CrossFit after work, for those of you who don't read the Accountability thread I started back...I figured why quit something that I'm good at and love just because of a couple bad apples. The workout was great! The coach I don't like though was working out at the same time and I could just kick him. Gosh he is so rude. I need to avoid him when I go.

We had Chicken, potatoes, and carrots for dinner and rewatched GoT and Outlander since I fell asleep during them on Sunday.

Tonight I plan to go to CrossFit again and make Minestrone Soup and Italian Chicken sandwiches. I need to also do my laundry. DH is getting my oil changed for me today yay!! since I usually spend my lunch breaks grocery shopping.

UGH Maddux got into the trash can last night while I was putting Callie to bed and ripped up a bunch of stuff in there. He is such a stinker. I can't trust him by himself anymore. I might have to start bringing him upstairs with me and locking him behind the baby gates lol.

@LizzyTish88 Haha that's exactly what I said to DH last night "Ain't nobody got time for that". That coach is such an ass though. He is like exactly what a coach shouldn't be. I wish he would just go to another gym lol.

My H is a maintenance supervisor at a recycling plant and all the recycling comes through, gets sorted by machines, and also on "picking lines" with workers removing what shouldn't be there.

He just sent me a text that says "Found our new toy" and a pic of MASSIVE dildo that got picked out. Good morning and happy Tuesday to you too, husband.

Yesterday was busy. Had work, then Rajah's vet appointment (stitches came out and wound isn't infected!!!!!), then birthing class. After that, it was nearly 9 pm so we made supper and I hit bed. I worried H a little last night though...had a splitting headache and my left foot swelled up beyond recognition (my right was normal swollen but seriously my left felt like it had been stung by several bees at once). I'll keep an eye on it and have a doctor's appointment tomorrow anyway.

Today is work and our cleaning lady comes! Hallelujah for a clean house and not having to clean it! Best Christmas gift ever that I've gotten.

@southernpeach89 we've started putting a large pot over the trash can. It's enough that it stops Calla from getting into the trash. The only times she's gotten in lately is if we forget to put the pot on the lid. Might be worth trying with Maddux too.

Last night I was in a silly mood. So my bf and I spent the night goofing off. I love nights like that. Tonight will be a lazy night again, unless we decide to go see my sister.

@southernpeach89 - Smudge does that too--if I don't watch her like a hawk she gets in to everything. All my trash cans have lids!

Morning everybody! Now that the semester's over, I'm giving myself a bit of a break and not going into the office yesterday or today. I've still got work to do, since I'm prepping new classes and I leave for a seminar in 3 weeks and need to get ready for that, but I decided to take a couple of days to myself.

I've been working on some projects around the apartment...what started as a "I should really deep clean this place" turned into "OMG I have no storage and I am so sick of the clutter and oh wouldn't it be nice to do all these projects?" So I did some things:

New cube storage in the second bedroom. I transformed it from "This is where I put all my stuff" to "Oh, somebody could actually sleep here when we put a bed in it."

New towel tower in the bathroom. All my towels were just sitting in a basket on the floor and I like this much better.

New corner shelves and towel ring in the bathroom. They free up so much space on my sink/vanity!

Anyway, today I've got a little more of the actual cleaning to finish up (because "let's do all these house projects" = "turning this place into a total disaster before it actually gets clean" and then I'm going to relax.

I'm also really, really grateful. I was going to start a Thankful Tuesday thread but I'll just share what I'm thankful for here. I'm thankful...

Raj is healthy. My God, some of you know what I'm talking about and I'm devastated for her.

Despite my ginormous feet (well, lets be honest, everything on me is ginormous of late), I'm healthy.

Ani is healthy and coming out in about 4 weeks!

I have a job, while stressful, that pays well and H does too.

I get to start my morning with a coffee and, more importantly, all of you each day.

@speakeasy14 That's a great idea. How big is the pot? Does it not fall off of the trashcan if it's bumped? I would just be afraid that Maddux would knock it off...

@futuremrshistorian Our trash can has a lid, he just knows how to lift it up. Like I said...he is a stinker!

@speakeasy14 I gotcha...you what though....I feel like I've seen these clasps that you can attach on to your toilet seat and/or trash cans to keep your kids and dogs out of them in the baby proofing sections of stores haha. Maybe that might work too? I'll have to stare at them to see if it's actually worth buying.

@minskat30 - Yay Raj! Ours has full meals and we usually split a couple apps (I love the BLT lettuce cup things and the tater tots are delicious). I'll probably get the lettuce cups as my meal though and we always share popcorn!

@speakeasy14 - Yea! I treated myself to some new stuff lately. I really wanted a pair of black slip-on sneakers and Zappos sent me $30 off so it was a no-brainer! The dress I got from a FB group that has StitchFix brand flash sales but for a fraction of the cost. I need to start hiding things from H

Proctoring MORE FINALS today! Make-up exams, I gave my main ones yesterday but the college has a policy that you don't have to sit more than two finals in any one day, which I definitely don't remember from undergrad (didn't they make us suffer?) but I will follow for my own students. Then I'm meeting a student for some extra help this evening. Around that I'm hoping to start grading the on-campus exams and we'll see what I get done from there.

Tonight I'm hoping to get home early enough to meal plan. H will be cooking the HomeChef meals (so he'll be the fancier cook when all is said and done) and I'm going to meal-plan the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to diving into my WW cookbook!

@minskat30 yaaay Raj no infection! Glad to hear he's doing great. And you're getting so close.

@cocobellaf glad there was no tornado after the alarms! I did the same thing as you on Saturday- overdid myself doing housework and then had to sit and rest my back and drink a lot of water.

@lizzytish88 what a cutie pie. I used to love going to my nephew's soccer but now I live 25 minutes from them so can't really make it there after work.

@futuremrshistorian wow, that house stuff looks great! My apartment before the house had no bathroom closet and a tiny single vanity so I had my towels in a plastic bin in the hallway lol

@southernpeach89 glad you're back at crossfit- you really are good at it!

I'm catching up on work from yesterday. And we managed to get down to 2 name choices- but of course we each prefer 1 over the other and neither of us want to cave lol. We're not telling anyone IRL but since it's tradition to tell NEYers...it's between Eli Robert & Cole Robert.

Not much last night. Since I forgot my glasses, I got home with a huge headache so I took a nap and ended up making myself some Mr. Noodle for dinner.
Matt's still fighting a cold but now it's dropped into his chest, so he's coughing a lot. He ended up picking up ice cream because his throat was getting rough.

Tonight isn't much. Need to do dishes and I think Matt's working late, so I may just throw in a lasagna and put on a movie.

This week is so weird because Matt's working off-and-on late and we have so much to do. Tomorrow we're going to his parent's place after work because the cat is being put down.
Luckily while I was sorting through photos not long ago, I found some old photos so I'm going to bring them.

Thursday is a bank appt. We're looking at options for house hunting. I'll let you guys know more details once I really have them.
