@KeptInStitches - I remember that if we had more than 3 in a day, we could request to move one of them. I don't think I ever did, though...by the time finals rolled around, I just wanted to be DONE! (Sort of like how I feel now as a prof...)

Vent: So my team provides a lot of the company merchandise. A week ago a guy asked for a ridiculous amount of stuff. As a favor I ordered it for him, but let him know he'll have to do it himself in the future. I ordered exactly what he requested. He just emails me that it's not enough and I need to bring more over to his meeting right now. No dude, not my fault you didn't request more.

@minskat30 Yay for Raj being infection free! How has he been doing this week?

I have about a million and one things to do today and tomorrow and not enough time to do it all. Since I'm WFH today I'm hoping to get some cleaning accomplished around the house so fingers crossed work is quiet for me! I've already dusted the upstairs, but I still have a lot of other things to do. This afternoon I'll seal the grout in the shower and then H can put in our new shower fixtures and we can finally use it!!! We'll have to use a shower curtain temporarily until our shower door comes in sometime next week.

Tonight is bookclub! We're finally discussing Me Before You and I can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts on the book!

@Swazzle Have fun tonight! H and I saw that movie over the weekend, and we really enjoyed it. It's a surprisingly long movie that doesn't feel that long. DYING at the dildo story!

@KeptInStitches My college had that policy too, though I don't remember ever requesting to have an exam moved/take a make-up one when I had 3 in a day. Kids these days, I tell ya.

Hi, everyone! Today is my Monday, and it seriously feels like it. It's going to be a really late night catching up on everything at work. I was only gone 2 days, but judging by my emails, it's like I've been gone a whole week! Ugh.

DC was so much fun. We had the best time ever. I'm so glad we went to that wedding. I was told like 3 times that I'm a really great dancer, which was really flattering. We only knew the bride and groom, but we made friends with the best man and his girlfriend, and they ended up giving us a ride back to DC and we all decided to take an impromptu walk at midnight around all the memorials. It was GORGEOUS and so much fun. Unfortunately it's a really long walk and I was in heels, so my feet ended up shredded, but it was totally worth it for shots like this:

The rest of the trip was great too. We got to have lunch with @cu97tiger, do all the touristy stuff like the Library of Congress, the Capitol, the Smithsonian, etc. At one of the museums I was transformed into an early human:

I'm pretty sexy, if I do say so myself. ;-)

On our last night there, we went to Georgetown and got these:

We got home yesterday afternoon, got groceries, picked up Zoey, and we all vegged out last night. I read At Water's Edge by Sara Gruen in its entirety yesterday, so I recommend that, especially if anyone enjoyed Water for Elephants, which is her best-known book.

Time for a meeting! Hopefully I can find some time to come back later and catch up with everyone. If not, have a great Tuesday!

I feel like I rolled right out of my sorority house today with what I'm wearing haha. I feel cute in my outfit but also a bit awkward because it's exactly what I would have worn in college and it's not exactly business attire but I don't see anyone here anyways.

I'm wearing a Vineyard Vines sear sucker checkered skirt, with a Southern Tide polo, pearls, and beige wedges.

@eilis1228 - Washington DC at night is my absolute favorite. You got some gorgeous pictures! I love the one of the Korean War Veterans memorial especially. It's absolutely haunting.

@swazzle – I didn’t know your H did that for work! That’s great! My mom is the solid waste supervisor for our county so I got a sweet summer job at the landfill in college. On top of the "big pile" the guys that worked there were always messing around with random hilarious garbage.

@minskat30 – Wishing you and your foot the best! I hate the feeling of swollen skin. It’s so uncomfortable.

@speakeasy14 – Goofing off is the best! We typically end up doing that on weekend mornings when the dog doesn’t wake me up all early.

@futuremrshistorian – I am bowing down to you, you go getter! I especially love those corner shelves!

@jenna8984 – I have known one Cole in my life, and he was the friendliest and just overall happiest person ever. I love it!

@eilis1228 – The memorials at night were totally my favorite experience from DC too! My little sister said she had to deal with some rain while she was there, though. Hopefully you didn't have to deal with that too much!

Hi everyone!

First of all, on Sunday I went to do my regular grocery shopping, but they didn't have a particular item I wanted. So I made a special trip to a second grocery store and bought two pints of Halo Top ice cream, and they are both gone now, haha! I had birthday cake and mint chip. I plan on continuing to shop at two different locations from now on! Thank you all for the recommendation!

Anyway, I'm trying really hard to be a good employee this week. I have a ton on my plate, so sorry if I don't post as often or as early. Hopefully I can get back to slacking soon.

@labro, there's only one store in my area that sells Halo Top and they were sold out.
