Hump Day

Morning!

Tonight is the Survivor finale so I'm making guac, pickle dip, and London broil crostini with horseradish cream. H's friends are supposed to each be bringing something too and I had H pick up some brownie bites because I'm too lazy to bake.

I'm about halfway done reading Undone (Will Trent #3) by Karin Slaughter and I'm really, really into it even if it's the creepiest/darkest book I think I've ever read. So hopefully I'll finish that today which will be my 21st book of the year! I'm I think I'm going to take a break from dark and creepy and read Ready Player One by Ernest Cline next.

**********

Tell me things:

1) What are you wearing today?
2) Have you seen any good movies lately?
3) Do you have any trips coming up?
4) What dessert would you like to eat right this second?
5) What's the craziest thing you've ever done?

Re: Hump Day

  • @Swazzle I have Ready Player One on my list too! I think I'm going to start Me Before You today based on everyone's discussion on it. We'll see how it goes!

I'm not feeling today. It was tough to roll out of bed this morning. Last night H and I made a BA meal that was ok. Tonight is Green Shakshuka. I might go for a run depending on how the day goes... Just feeling kind of blah about work.

    1) What are you wearing today?

Jeans, floral tank and a black moto jacket.. Black Jack Rogers Sandals

    2) Have you seen any good movies lately?

I saw Jungle Book with H a few weeks ago, that was really good.

    3) Do you have any trips coming up?

Heading down to SC for a long weekend in a couple of weeks to see an old college friend.

    4) What dessert would you like to eat right this second?

Ugh, I could reaaalllly go for some bread pudding. Or anything chocolate.

    5) What's the craziest thing you've ever done?

In college I went swimming in the Hudson (those of you who know how gross that is know what a terrible idea that is). I've also cliff jumped in Jamaica which was pretty crazy I guess.
  • @PamBeesly524 Did you cliff jump off of a random cliff you found or was it a commercialized "Hey come jump off our awesome cliff" lol?

@PamBeesly524 - Sorry your BA meal wasn't great! I'm actually really excited to read Ready Player One. It has such great reviews!

@southernpeach89 - I love that Callie's so chatty! And it cracks me up that your H gets you the MK&A movies. SO sweet!

  • @southernpeach89 haha! I'm not THAT crazy to jump off a random cliff... It was at the end of our dune buggy excursion, the tour guides brought us there so I felt safe doing it and the water was really clear so I could see that there were no rocks! I've also run into the ocean at night - so scary but so fun!

I saw Captain America: Civil War last week and it was SO good and I'm seeing X-Men: Apocalypse next Thursday. I have very high hopes for it.

    3) Do you have any trips coming up?
I'm going to Vermont this weekend for my cousin's college graduation!

    4) What dessert would you like to eat right this second?

@LizzyTish88 - Come to NYC! Way to go on your run! That's awesome!

  • @LizzyTish88 congrats on your run - that's awesome! LOLing at sex at BBB.
  • @Swazzle He is so funny. He loves to get those random types of gifts and it cracks me up.

@pambeesly524 Well that's good. I would have been terrified to do not knowing what was below.

@lizzytish88 That's awesome! I love running, it's the best stress reliever in my opinion and also crying lol. You will pick back up quickly.

  • Morning ladies!

Bit of a P&R right now, but I'll be back.

    1) What are you wearing today?
Black capri's; green and black tshirt that's a blousey material

    2) Have you seen any good movies lately?
Hmm .... "hot tub machine 2" was pretty funny.

    3) Do you have any trips coming up?
6hr Road trip in June to see a friend.

    4) What dessert would you like to eat right this second?
Hmm ... good question! Strawberry rhubarb pie probably

    5) What's the craziest thing you've ever done?
Not very much. The summer after high school - while in college, because I would have it in the morning - I would spend the afternoon drinking. One afternoon my friends and I decided to skinny dip. Not that crazy, but the water was gross and in the middle of the day.
  • I'm sorry- I cannot figure out how to make it not yellow!!! I only see text color in my options so I have no idea how that happened!!!

  • @jenna8984 very strange with the yellow. TK has been weird this week.  This is the first day I haven't had an issue posting.  Your past travel adventures sound amazing (minus terrifying Chinese taxis)!

  • @speakeasy14 OMG those are awesome things they gave you! DH would be so jealous!!

@jenna8984 OMG Tres Leches!!!! I want that.

  • @speakeasy14 that's so cool that you got the kayaks and other stuff!!

@speakeasy14 That's awesome they left you all that stuff! I would love for someone to give BF and I kayaks! We did some kayaking when we went to the lake last summer and it was so fun! I'd like to keep doing it but those things aren't cheap!

@jenna8489 That shirt is adorable! I love it!

@minskat30 We miss you around here! I am hoping so bad that your work slows down for you so you can relax a little before little miss Ani gets here!

ETA @futuremrshistorian Glad you had fun with your sister! She is kicking ass and those kids are so cute!

All of you are going the travel route with your craziness and I look like a tramp! LOL. I don't know that I have done anything crazy travel wise. Maybe I need to change that ASAP so I have a better answer for next time haha.

@LizzyTish88 come visit, we've got plenty of kayaks for guests.  ---*Eta I feel like there should be a bigger gap between these two thoughts hahaha----My crazy wasn't a trip, but I'll share slutty crazy so you're not alone haha:  I showed up at my bf's house when we were still long distance, in nothing but a cat suit and a video recorder.  Then preceded to record us having sex.  Apparently, he recently found the video locked on his computer.

  • @futuremrshistorian wow your sister is amazing for doing all that at once! Glad you had a nice time and got to see your dad!

@lizzytish88 I don't have any crazy sex stories, except the shower in the boy's dorm in college but I feel like that's not crazy for a college kid LOL

    5) What's the craziest thing you've ever done?

I want to say either skydiving in Hawaii, or canyoning in Italy. Canyoning was actually pretty terrifying: it involves rock climbing, rappelling, and swimming up a major current to get up to the "top" of a canyon, and then cliff jumping and floating back downstream (over small waterfalls and around large boulders) to get back to the base pool at the "end" of the canyon.

Honestly though..... the craziest things I've ever done were all probably alcohol related poor decisions. It's a wonder I'm still alive ;)

This sounds terrifying but I would love to just float back downstream as long as there wasn't horrible fish biting.
