    @wink0erin - I'm so sorry to hear about your day yesterday. I can't imagine having to deal with those feelings as they pop up but I love that you got to spend some time outside and enjoy nature. There's something so calming about it. I hope today is better for you!

    Thanks for the vibes, everyone! To be honest, I'm a little surprised they're so keen to interview me. I have no experience in this field, and they've been interviewing people that are far more qualified than I for a few months now. I figure the base-level certification will prove that I'm not a lying liar about being a motivated, quick learner.

    Pretty busy morning and weekend.

    Saturday we started looking at furniture for the basement. Like a small loveseat or even a couple of chairs. We priced the fridges and dear gawd there is too much technology in some fridges!
    That night I hung out with a friend I hadn't seen in awhile.

    Sunday went to my aunt's place for dinner.

    Monday I tossed around going out with everyone, but drama had happened with a friend and myself, so I really didn't want to make it weird. All is good now. A lot is just misunderstanding and not really making plans. We talked, all is fine.

    Today we had our inspection. Nothing huge issues. A few tiny ones we're going to get the owners to do. My uncle noticed the flooring has a hump - not warped - but upon further inspection, it's a beam from underneath. The house seems to be going through a settling period, so that could be why. It will have to be looked at later, but it may settle with furniture on it.
    The owners did change the closet doors from sliding to an actual opening door, which I really like better. I may put my mirror inside the door.

    So far so good! Next step is lawyer and Matt needs to firm things up with the mortgage specialist.

    Yesterday was fun. We found a dress for my friend, and today we are going out shopping for accessories for both of us. I also got a notification that paperwork is being processed for my new job, so that's good news. 

    Today has been rough though. A few conversations that I had the past few days had me in tears today, and for a moment I actually started rethinking the wedding. Don't get me wrong, I love FI, and we are normally on the same page, but I am growing to resent his parents, and honestly not sure if I can deal with them for the rest of my life. The problem is that lately they have been trying to dictate every part of our lives, and protests fall on deaf ears. We were apparently wrong for not buying a house when we moved back here (and still haven't heard the end of that, to the tune of telling us we should break our lease to move into a house ASAP, despite us telling them multiple times that it just isn't feasible for us right now), they want us to have kids within the year, they have already picked out a name for our son since that's what our first child has to be, and I absolutely cannot have a c-section when giving birth to said child despite the risk of me bleeding out if I don't plan to have the correct medicines on hand. When I told FFIL for the umpteenth time that any son we might have will not be named that, he responded with "Well I will call him whatever I want anyways!". Oh, and the name is Loki, after the Viking god of murder and mischief. I'm not dealing with a child who learns what that name means at a young age. FFS I'm not even pregnant yet, and not planning to be pregnant for at least a few years, and we are having these arguments already. 

    I just was in tears over this. Why can't they just be happy that we are back in the area, respect our wishes to live our lives the way we choose to, and let us figure out what is right when it comes to having kids? Is that really so hard??????
