Morning all! Half way there!

Work was absolutely horrific yesterday afternoon and then all of the trains in the area were delayed so I didn't get home until 6:40 last night (I was supposed to leave early but couldn't). H and I voted, grabbed dinner, watched 1 episode of GOT, and then I got in bed and read for a bit.

Hopefully work will be less of a pain in the ass and I'll be getting home at a decent time tonight. I'm grilling steak that I've been marinating since yesterday morning for dinner, I need to watch the GOT season 2 finale, and that's really all I have planned.

FX 5pm gets here quickly!

@swazzle I like your style with the steaks. My parents and I always marinate stuff for 2-3 days. I hate when recipes say like 30min-5 hours. That does nothing! lol. Hope you get home on time today

We still needed 1 more car seat (for H's car) and I noticed yesterday that the one we wanted is $60 off, plus I'd get $24 in rewards points so I went ahead and bought it. It's not the tiny baby seat, it's the one that he will use from ages 1+ but it was worth the deal to buy it now! We have class tonight from 7:30-9:30 and then we'll pass right out.

I struggled through a hot run yesterday, and got up again this morning to run in the cool weather which felt really nice. I told myself last night that if I got up at 5 to run at least 4 miles I would get a mani-pedi after work, so I'm going! I've learned that tempting myself with little rewards like that tends to yield better workout results

Tonight I have to pack for a trip - H and I are going to SC this weekend to visit friends. Two of our friends used to date (and actually introduced us), but they broke up a few years ago and still live down in SC separately. So he's going to visit his friend and I'm going to visit mine. Should be fun, and the weather is going to be great!

Good morning! I don't have much planned for tonight except packing for a beach getaway this weekend with my mom, aunts, and cousins. Should be a fun girls' weekend!

@swazzle - I hope today is better for you - we're halfway to the weekend!
@jenna8984 - I don't know how much car seats usually cost, but that sounds like a pretty good deal!
@PamBeesly524 - I might have to try that method the next time I work out. I need more motivation!
@LizzyTish88 and @jenna8984 - H and I watched AGT last night too. We really liked the Argentinians and the guy who stacked all those chairs. What a daredevil!

Later this evening I might be meeting up with an old work colleague for dinner. If our plans don't pan out then I will probably go back home, mow the backyard a second time because the grass was too tall to get it cut to where we like it, and make ST chicken enchiladas for dinner!

Not much last night. We got some answers from the lawyer - which is the condo fees are the normal amount plus the special assessment for 5yrs - which ends up being almost $400/month and FUCK THAT NOISE.
Anyways ... so our realtor is going to see what the other broker has to say. Sounds promising so far but waiting on info now to see.

When this is all over, we're getting our realtor a gift card or something lol

Tonight isn't much, mainly cleaning. My uncle is helping Matt fix our table this weekend, so we need to start moving stuff off of it. From it being in a basement (before we got it) it got dry and now has a huge crack down it. Not a hard fix, but Matt's never done anything like that nor does he have the tools to do it. So my uncle offered to help him

Once Matt knows how, we'll be fixing the chairs.

@PamBeesly524 That's awesome!!! I haven't been to Greenville in many many years but I hear more and more about what a fun city it has become. It's got some of the best restaurants in the South.

@PamBeesly524 I love that you and H are going to SC to visit different friends. Really I just love when couples do their own thing because that's my relationship goal, and so far so good.

Last night I took about half the evening to pick out my outfits for this conference and was like "OMG I AM DRIVING SO I CAN PACK EVERYTHING!!!" Then I packed about the same amount of clothing I usually do but three times as many shoes. I also packed my pair of running shoes, which is funny to me because I packed both shoes but will only wear the left one (my running leg doesn't require a shoe). Little things like that amuse me. I spent the rest of the evening playing video games and I was better at it than usual. Made some boys on the internet mad. Sorry for killing you, bros. #notsorry

Today I am leaving work a little bit early so I can start driving to NC for the conference, yayyy!!! Hopefully I will have some fun pictures to AW on Monday.

On my way back Sunday I plan to stop at some stores that I don't have anywhere near my home... like TRADER JOES. I have no idea what to get other than cookie butter, and I won't be able to keep anything frozen for the trip home... does anyone have suggestions? I'm making a list today!

update: realtor confirmed with sellers that apparently there's a clause saying they'll pay that out before closing. We're doing an amendment to make it clearer because our realtor was not aware of that.

Did any other home owners have issues when buying {or selling} ?

Guys - this perplexes me so so much. I listen to the news on my commute and it amazes me/confuses me over the number of people who support Bernie who say they'll vote for Trump if Hillary is the Democratic nominee.

Maybe it's just that my political beliefs are more important to me than who is/who isn't a Washington insider, but why in the world would you vote for someone who supports the opposite of EVERYTHING your candidate supports. I never thought of establishment/non establishment as being the major differentiator for me. I care that the next president shares my beliefs on abortion, marriage, anti-corruption laws, etc. Not whether or not he's some fuck-tard "businessman" who was never an elected official.

ETA: I'll also say - I am BEYOND excited that we have our first woman presidential nominee. It's been a long time coming in this country. Hillary has made her mistakes and while she wasn't my first choice, in my eyes, she's still the only reasonable choice when it comes down to the inevitable.

@labro - There is literally no part of me that could EVER vote for Donald Trump for anything. Unless we're voting him off the planet.

I voted for Bernie yesterday but I will happily vote for and stand behind Hillary 100% in November when she's the nominee against Trump.

@labro UGH RIGHT! (rant ahead) I am so sick of Bernie supporters bashing Hillary. I'm a Bernie supporter and honestly at this point I wish he would have bowed out gracefully, but I really think his ego has grown. For one, he used to focus on the issues and he would denounce those who said negative things about Hillary, but lately that seems to have ended. Like, come on people, PLEASE lets unite against Trump.

I am SO GLAD we have a female presumptive nominee with as much experience as Hillary. I don't necessarily agree with everything she says/does, but I don't agree with everything Bernie says/does either. If the nomination were to go to Bernie I'd vote for him. If it goes to Hillary I'll vote for her.

The things she has been bashed on make no sense to me, like I fail to see how whatever outfit she is wearing has anything to do with anything, I don't care what the market price tag is. Had she shown up in an old suit she would have been bashed for that too. They never talk about the items of clothing each male candidate is wearing, so why do it to her?

Ugh, I need it to be Friday. I worked until 9:30 last night. Zoey protested by refusing to get out of my lap. It was cute, but I didn't get anywhere near as much done as I'd hoped.

I refuse to work late tonight. Refuse! I need a break.

I also got an email back from one of the jobs I applied to a few weeks ago. The customary "thanks but no thanks" email. *sigh* It wasn't a job that was high up on my list, but I'm still bummed. Oh well. I'm glad they at least emailed me. I hate it when companies leave you hanging indefinitely.

Tonight I WILL go to the gym and cook dinner. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. I will NOT work. Nope nope nope.

@eilis1228 I play Team Fortress 2 on my computer. I started playing it 6 years ago when an ex introduced me to it. I think one of my proudest moments was realizing he joined the same game I was in several months ago on the opposing team and I killed his character a couple times. So satisfying in a completely geeky way.

Last night we had HC Skinny Chicken Mozzarella. I have a ... let's say strong dislike for kale. This came with what must have been half a pound of kale. H tried, he really did, but nothing makes kale not kale. Blech. Supper was disappointing.

Church tonight. More laundry, maybe? My mom is coming to town this weekend and we're going out to supper the night she's here. Otherwise I'm going to keep trying to turn yarn into prayer shawls so I can justify buying more yarn eventually.
