I'm glad I got to go to CrossFit yesterday. DH didn't have to work! Today I need to go take the van to the car wash because it's black and dirt shows up so quickly on it so it needs a bath. Then more CrossFit tonight!

I don't have much today. I haven't had much all week, tbh. I voted Tuesday, finished a prayer shawl and cast a new one on, got a library card because then I can check out audiobooks online for free, and tomorrow I'm volunteering at the church all afternoon.

Good morning!

The activities committee at my work drives me bonkers. You may remember at Christmas time planning the x-mas party and they went back and forth for like weeks about chicken parm vs. roasted chicken and I was like just fucking pick one!! Well now we're planning the summer BBQ. They keep saying "We're waiting on VP of HR to give us the budget". I'm like no- he and the finance manager have already said there's not a specific dollar amount- just reasonable to what was spent last year. So as the accountant, I told them what was spent last year and we have a BBQ catering menu in front of us and they keep saying "well we need to know the dollar amount from Albert". I'm like what do you people not understand? He's not giving us a dollar amount. If we spent $800 last year, then they aren't going to bat an eyelash at $921.52. Jesus, not a hard concept!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH my avatar disappeared!

I'm shocked I'm not cranky today since Aunt Flo just started...but I guess I actually tend to feel BETTER on the first day, I tend to feel more negative and cranky in the days leading up to it and when it finally starts, I feel re-energized and positive again. Not that that stops me from turning down some wine.

At least it's Friday EVE!!!!!

TK is glitching the fuck out on me. It took me a million years just to be able to sign on!

Anyhoo, I went on a substation site visit yesterday and ended up driving over 6 hours over the course of the day. Read a majority of The Girl You Left Behind, and I'm really enjoying it so far. I had no motivation for anything once I got home, so I ate cereal for dinner and that was that. All the country/continent shit yesterday was cracking me up though! You girls are hilarious.

I have lots of meetings today, so that will suck. Although the café next door is roasting a pig, so it smells AMAZING every time I go outside.

I'm getting to work because I had a gyno appt this morning. I have been bad girl and hadn't been keeping up with any doctors so I saw my Primary Care Dr. a few weeks ago, and Now I have seen my OB/GYN. Next I have to meet my new Gastro and I will be good.

So NEY question.. Can anyone tell me about the NuvaRing? Like I said I have been a bad girl and not on BC for quite a few years now. I talked to the Dr and told her that BF and I have talked about TTC around this time next year, so I asked about BC and NuvaRing is the one she suggested because it's not very likely to affect my hormones.

@LizzyTish88 I used NuvaRing for almost 10 years and loved it. I loved not having to remember to take a pill every day. It was wonderful. You can even manipulate it so that you only have your period once every few months. It was amazing. Unfortunately, I had to switch BC last year because my body had adjusted to the NuvaRing, so my cycle got really wonky. Pro Tip: use a tampon applicator for insertion. Makes life easier.

@LizzyTish88 Why start BC now when you haven't already been on it for 2 years? What have you been doing to prevent pregnancy this whole time? If you're already planning on TTC next year I guess I don't see the point?

Sorry for all you period havers. My gyno & I discussed different options the other day, including permanent ones, and I said "I REALLY like not having a period." and she said "New Mirena every five years until menopause. Done!"

H & I were both home this morning because we had a company come out for a fence estimate. I'm so excited to get it installed. And the pups will love it even more. I can't wait to shoo Bruschi out the back door when he's being a monster!

We have to do a gate because of our dumb driveway, and the guy asked if we wanted the one with 3-inch spaces between the slats or if we wanted to do a "puppy picket" with 1.5-inch spaces along the bottom. I looked at H & said "Bruschi has the biggest head on the planet. 3-inches is fine." LOL

Poor little fathead.
