I got a bridal shower invite and it has a dress code and how to wear your hair...

"Please join us in celebrating Bride before she becomes Mrs.Grooms Last Name this October! This will be a "Breakfast at Tiffianys" theme so we are asking you all to put on your "little black dress" and join us for a fun and relaxing afternoon with some yummy food, drinks, and games. Mini tiaras and accessories will be provided so wear your hair up."

It's an iconic movie with some great style but that's quite the choice for a shower.

And fuck no to wearing hair up. I haven't done that in 7 years.

I guess that means short-haired women aren't invited unless they wear a wig with an updo? I haven't worn a wig since I went to a fraternity party as Elvira . . . During my freshman year of college.

I honestly do not think the bride has seen the movie.

A few years ago we were driving somewhere and the song "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Deep Blue Something came on and she gushed about how much she loved the song...

I've been invited to a bridal shower and told to wear my fanciest hat or headband! No way - I hate to wear hats and the only time I wear a headband is at the gym.

Honestly .... I had a Breakfast at Tiffany's inspired shower, but no one had to wear an LBD, tiara, etc. I did because I wanted to dress the part. There is a lot more to that movie/book than Audrey in LBD and tiara *sigh*

when I wear my hair up I look like I'm about to go for a run/workout. Is that acceptable for the tiara or does it have to be an updo

Have a theme sure. I'll get from the theme that if I want to wear a LBD, it would be very appropriate. Have tiaras there if you want.

But don't make it a requirement. And besides, Breakfast at Tiffany's had several scenes and Audrey wore many a hairstyle and outfit

. So I just checked out google images, and there's a scene where she's wearing fitted pants, button down shirt and has her hair up in a towel- true to the theme and comfortable @dyerwise
