Morning!

I was MIA yesterday from a mix of feeling like shit, dealing with work issues, and finishing the book I was reading (The Girls by Emma Cline -- 3* from me).

I had such an amazing weekend with my girls and it was so nice to surprise and shower @buddysmom80 with baby gifts! I can't believe two of my bestest friends are going to have little humans of their own in a (little under and a little over a) month and I can't wait to meet my niece and nephew

Like I said, I'm sick. I wasn't feeling great last Thursday, then was fine on Friday, then most likely drank way too much that night which I know didn't help, woke up feeling like death on Saturday from a combo of hangover and actual sickness, and just got worse and worse. Sunday I woke up at 7am and drove home just so I could skip traffic and be on my couch with H and the babies.

I barely slept last night at all which sucks because H and I are going to see Hall & Oates (again) tonight. It's the one show I was able to get free tickets for from the Ticketmaster settlement. H is thrilled

Hopefully it's not a late night tonight and I can get a decent night's sleep and start feeling better!

Yesterday I went to Crossfit and got a new PR for my push press. My old press was 125# and yesterday I pressed 130#. I was super excited but I couldn't get a PR for my front squat. That has always been a hard one for me so I need to work on it....plus the last time I got a PR I was in a lot better shape haha, it was 160# and I squatted 155#. Almost there.

I came home and miss cranky teething pants didn't want to eat her dinner (potatoes, carrots, and peas that I cooked up and then had to discard after she threw it on the floor) so I gave her squash puree (one of her favorites) and she gobbled it up. I wish there was a sign somewhere that told me what Callie wants to eat that night. Then DH and I watched The Bachelorette and went to bed.

Tonight DH has to work so I'm taking Callie to small group with me. I'm making BLT roll ups. The last time I made these they were tasty but kind of messy so I'm going to try to refrigerate them a bit longer prior to cutting the rolls so we shall see if that helps.

@Swazzle Yes, you spread the BLT mixture onto a tortilla and roll it up and cut it into slices. This is the recipe I have:

BLT Roll Ups-

BLT Roll Ups Ingredients
4 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup KRAFT Real Mayonnaise
8 slices Bacon, cooked, crumbled
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
2 flour tortillas (8 inch)
1/2 cup shredded romaine lettuce

Directions Mix cream cheese and mayo in medium bowl. Add bacon and tomatoes; mix well. Spread onto tortillas; top with lettuce. Roll up tightly. Cut each into 7 diagonal slices Makes 14 Servings

It's kind of nice having the whole week off from running. Last night H and I went grocery shopping, made sort of a mish-mash for dinner (fresh fruit, hummus/carrots/pita, soup) and then went for a super long walk. He and I both are playing Pokemon Go. Sounds kinda lame but it's fun and nostalgic. We got ice cream and then walked all over the nearby college campus for a couple of hours enjoying the weather and playing the game. The temperature was perfect and the campus really is beautiful.

I have no meetings today, so I'm excited! Anyone looking for anything good on Amazon today for Prime Day?

@Swazzle Omg @buddysmm80 and @hummingbird125 are seriously the most beautiful pregnant ladies I've ever seen...along with @southernpeach89 of course! I'm sorry you were sick over the weekend but at least the shower was a huge success. I hope you start to feel better soon!

Last night I made lunch for the week (Greek seasoned chicken and roasted cauliflower, brocc, sprouts, mushrooms, and onions) and then made oven roasted pork chops and artichokes for dinner. I started reading Caught by Harlen Coben and didn't put it down until H came and told me how late it was and I finally realized that I was exhausted. I'm just over halfway through and I can't wait to find out what happens!

Tonight I'm going to cook up some ground turkey and veggies and shred some cheese and freeze it all since we won't be able to eat it before we leave for the beach.

@PamBeesly524 DH went crazy on Amazon Prime this morning. Granted he bought all baby items but on GMA this morning they were saying that there are some nice electronics that are being sold today for a good deal.

@PamBeesly524 - I sent H a link to the Instant Pot I've been eyeing since December and it will be wrapped up and gifted to me on Saturday for my birthday

I asked for a kindle (cheap one that has no-glare so I can read better outside) and also shared with him that it's on sale today so hopefully he took advantage of that.

@labro - Yum your lunches sound delicious! I made Skinnytaste beef/veggie kabobs with chimichurri sauce for dinner so I have leftovers of that for lunch today and I'm really excited. I'm so glad to hear Caught is good! It's on my list!

Good morning! Yesterday I was MIA since I drank too much the night before. It was our anniversary, so I get a pass for it. I slept alllll morning and then ate lunch and watched TV for the rest of the day.

Over the weekend, on Saturday, my H and I went shopping again at the outlets and got some clothes from Calvin Klein. I just love their shorts, so I got some of those. I also got a dress from Michael Kors, but it's more for work than the summer. After we went shopping we grabbed Indian food and rented Joy (J. Law movie) from redbox. It wasn't her best movie, but I still liked it.

Sunday was our first anniversary!!! We went out for brunch to our favorite place and then went for a walk throughout that neighborhood. We ended up going home and relaxing for a bit since it was a little rainy. My H made reservations for the Capital Grille- and it was amazing!!! We were immediately welcomed with champagne and a very cute table decorated with rose petals and candles. We both had multiple courses- with courses thrown in on the house because it was our anniversary. Our waiter must have told the other servers that it was our anniversary too, because they each came by to congratulate us. Very sweet. I especially enjoyed eating two desserts, since I ordered a creme brulee but they gave us an anniversary dessert tray too!!! I really could go on and on about the night. Once we finished our dinner, our server gave us a set of champagne flutes as a gift. I definitely want to go back there every year now lol

It looks like the weather is going to be nice today. That may mean a beach day or reading outside! I need it since whatever tan I got is starting to fade and I can't have that happen!

Morning, everyone! I feel like so few people post anymore that I can get through replying to everyone within a few minutes. Where did everyone go?

Yesterday was busy at work, and I hit a wall around 3. I powered through until 5 and then I had to give up and go home. You know how foggy you feel after studying really hard for a test? That was how I felt yesterday. I went to the grocery store after work and then just went home and zoned out for a while. I started reading Finders Keepers last night too, which is REALLY good so far! Zoey and I cuddled in bed while I read for a bit, but after an hour or so she decided she'd had enough of me and went to her crate. So rude! lol!

Today should be similar, though I'm hoping for more energy tonight so I can go to the gym and cook a proper dinner. A coworker that works remotely down near Austin is here today, and she asked if I'd go to lunch with her since I'll be leaving soon. Can't say no to that!

I was checking out the Paperwhites today though (on sale for $90) and wondering if I made the wrong choice. Oh well! I just want to be able to read outside is all and I can do that with the "new" one so I know I won't be disappointed. I can't wait to hear what you think of Finders Keepers!!!

Hi, all! I've been MIA because ... well, because I'm boring. I knit, work, volunteer at the church, see my parents every so often. I got a new office - it has three filing cabinets and no bookshelves, and I still haven't figured out how the previous occupant survived that way.

Quick post and run because I'm in midst of stuff, and hoping to finish in next half hour!

Not much last night. We're getting a new mattress early and planned on going to the store to order it last night, but my uncle said the table was done. However, he made a mistake and won't be ready until tonight. We're still going after work to order though.

I might actually die of heat this week. We're getting hit with this hot air from the Gulf of Mexico and for the rest of week it will feel like 40*C {104*F for those who don't know the conversion}
Our apt is going to be an OVEN urg ...

Not much else this week. Signing up for my course in next few days {waiting for month flip on my credit card} and Matt's bday is Thursday. We're celebrating on Friday though.

I am NOT happy to be at work today!

The bachelorette party on friday night actually ended up being a blast! We went out to a great dinner where I had a prosciutto-wrapped pork chop and a bunch of cucumber-mint cocktails, which I of course drank through the obligatory penis straw. We spent a ton of time at a dueling piano bar, where the bride's cousin and I ended up dancing like crazy. We hit up Voodoo Donuts on the way back to the hotel (again, not my favorite), and then played a Have You Ever type drinking game until we all wanted to pass out.

Saturday was mostly spent trying not to be hung over, and hanging out with family.

Sunday (Wedding Day!) morning our friends arrived from out of town, I dropped BF off to get ready with his brother, and another friend of mine came over to do my hair. I looked pretty damn dolled up. This is a picture with the previously mentioned cousin:

The groom almost made me cry with his amazing vows, especially since he rarely talks about anyone but himself. Also, guess which BALLER caught the bouquet? *Thumbs at myself* And his grandma was celebrating like crazy after I did. BF got a hard time from EVERYONE about the fact that we're not engaged, and we had a million requests to be invited to our future wedding. Overall, the mood was high, I danced to pretty much every song, and my shoes held up amazingly!

Yesterday we spent pretty much the entire day lounging in the sun and hanging out with our friends. I really loved the entire weekend. Weddings are such a beautiful thing.

@PamBeesly524 lol we also saw a movie and got ice cream, but yes, hunting Pokemon was part of the evening. We didn't go very far, but it was kind of cool to see a bunch of people our age out too. The ice cream shop was a Poke Stop, and they were PACKED. They also had an ice cream flavor called Slowpoke, and they were almost sold out of it.

@Swazzle YAY! I hope you get a non-glare Kindle of some sort for your birthday. I love mine. I got the first gen Paperwhite about 4 years ago, and it still works just as well today as it did the day I got it. Amazon makes really high quality eReaders. RE: Finder's Keepers-- So far I really really like it. I'm still in the beginning... Hodges hasn't come into play at all yet. Everything with Pete and his family is still being set up, but so far it's really good.

@500days When I get approached by missionaries, I pretend to really believe in The Force, or I talk about our wonderful Lord and Savior, The Flying Spaghetti Monster. They usually leave me alone after that lol

@swazzle @eilis1228 @MissKittyDanger I had sunglasses on and fierce RBF. I was in my bikini....like how on Earth did they feel comfortable coming up to me?!? Isn't that like against code? I did feel bad that they were wearing long pants and dress shoes sitting cross legged on the beach. In my head I was thinking to leave- but wtf I want to be at the beach to read my book in peace!

Another thought- I don't think they should be able to randomly corner people on the state beach. They will not meet someone as nice as me next time, that's for sure.
